9 And he said, Hagar, Sarai's maid, whence comest thou, and whither wilt thou go? and she said, I flee from the face of my mistress Sarai.
10 And the angel of the Lord said unto her, Return to thy mistress, and submit thyself unto her hands.
11 And the angel of the Lord said unto her, The Lord will multiply thy seed exceedingly, so that it shall not be numbered for multitude.
12 And the angel of the Lord said unto her, Behold, thou art with child, and shalt bear a son, and shall call his name Ishmael: because the Lord hath heard thy afflictions.
13 And he will be a wild man; and his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.
14 And she called the name of the angel of the Lord.
15 And he spake unto her, saying, Knowest thou that God seest thee?
16 And she said, I know that God seest me, for I have also here looked after him.
17 And there was a well between Kadesh and Bered, near where Hagar saw the angel.
18 And the name of the angel was Beer-la-hai-roi; wherefore the well was called Beer-la-hai-roi for a memorial.
19 And Hagar bear Abram a son; and Abram called his son's name, which Hagar bear, Ishmael.
