"And it came to pass that after many days it began to put forth somewhat a little, young and tender branches; But behold, the main top thereof began to perish.
And it came to pass that he was nourished for the space of many days.
Born in tribulation in a wild wilderness and hated of our brethren, which caused wars and contentions; Wherefore, we did mourn out our days.
And I saw wars between the Nephites and the Lamanites in the course of my days.
And I have declared it in all my days and have rejoiced in it above that of the world-
Wherefore in my days, I would that ye should know that I fought much with the sword to preserve my people the Nephites from falling into the hands of their enemies, the Lamanites.
And it came to pass in the days of Mosiah there was a large stone brought unto him with engravings on it, And he did interpret the engravings by the gift and power of God;
Behold, I, Amaleki, was born in the days of Mosiah, And I have lived to see his death; And Benjamin his son reigneth in his stead.
And behold, I have seen in the days of King Benjamin a serious war and much bloodshed between the Nephites and the Lamanites;

Wherefore, it came to pass that after Amaleki had deliv- ered up these plates into the hands of King Benjamin, He took them and put them with the other plates which contained records which had been handed down by the kings from generation to generation until the days of King Benjamin;
And now there was no more contention in all the Land of Zarahemla among all the people which belonged to King Benjamin, So that King Benjamin had continual peace all the remainder of his days.
I say unto you, that as I have been suffered to spend my days in your service, even up to this time, And have not sought gold nor silver nor no manner of riches of you;
"Behold I say unto you, that because I said unto you that I had spent my days in your service, I do not desire to boast, for I have only been in the service of God;
And behold also, if I, whom ye call your king, who has spent his days in your service and yet hath been in the service of God, doth merit any thanks from you, O how had you ought to thank your heavenly King!
And we are willing to enter into a covenant with our God, to do His will and to be obedient to His commandments in all things that He shall command us all the remainder of our days, That we may not bring upon ourselves a never-ending torment as has been spoken by the angel, That we may not drink out of the cup of the wrath of God."
And now they knew not the course they should travel in the wilderness to go up to the Land of Lehi-Nephi, Therefore, they wandered many days in the wilderness, even forty days did they wander.
And when they had wandered forty days, they came to a hill which is north of the Land of Shilom and there they pitched their tents;
And it came to pass when they had been in prison two days, they were again brought before the king and their bands were loosed;
And they were lost in the wilderness for the space of many days, yet they were diligent and found not the Land of Zarahemla, But returned to this land, having traveled in a land among many waters,
Nevertheless, after many days wandering in the wilderness, we pitched our tents in the place where our brethren were slain, which was near to the land of our fathers.
Six days shalt thou labor and do all thy work, But the seventh day, the Sabbath of the Lord thy God, thou shalt not do any work- Thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates,
For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth and the sea and all that in them is; Wherefore, the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
'Honor thy father and thy mother, that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee;
'Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He hath put Him to grief. When thou shalt make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand.
And he, being concealed for many days, did write all the words which Abinadi had spoken.
And after three days, having counseled with his priests, he caused that he should again be brought before him.
And it came to pass after many days there were a goodly number gathered together to the Place of Mormon to hear the words of Alma,
And it came to pass that after many days the Lamanites began again to be stirred up in anger against the Nephites; And they began to come into the borders of the land round about.
And they, having supposed it to be the Land of Zarahemla, returned to the Land of Nephi, Having arrived in the borders of the land not many days before the coming of Ammon;
And after being many days in the wilderness, they arrived in the Land of Zarahemla and joined his people and became his subjects.
And after they had pursued them two days, they could no longer follow their tracks; Therefore, they were lost in the wilderness.
Now the armies of the Lamanites which had followed after the people of King Limhi had been lost in the wilderness for many days;
And it came to pass that after they had been in the wilderness twelve days, they arrived to the Land of Zarahemla; And King Mosiah did also receive them with joy.
And it came to pass after they had fasted and prayed for the space of two days and two nights, the limbs of Alma received their strength; And he stood up and began to speak unto them, bidding them to be of good comfort.
And it came to pass that they did plead with their father many days, that they might go up to the Land of Nephi.
Therefore, I will be your king the remainder of my days;
And thus ended the reign of the kings over the people of Nephi; And thus ended the days of Alma who was the founder of their church.
Now it came to pass that not many days after the battle which was fought in the Land of Zarahemla by the Lamanites and the Amlicites, That there was another army of the Lamanites came in upon the people of Nephi in the same place where the first army met the Amlicites.
"Behold, I have fasted and prayed many days that I might know these things of myself,
"And now Amulek, because thou hast fed me and took me in, thou art blessed, For I was enhungered for I had fasted many days."
And it came to pass that Alma tarried many days with Amulek before he began to preach unto the people.
"But behold, I say unto you that if ye persist in your wickedness, that your days shall not be prolonged in the land, for the Lamanites shall be sent upon you;
And not many days hence, the Son of God shall come in His glory; And His glory shall be the glory of the Only Begotten of the Father, Full of grace, equity and truth, Full of patience, mercy and longsuffering, Quick to hear the cries of His people and to answer their prayers.
For he hath fasted many days because of the sins of this people and he is enhungered; And thou shall receive him into thy house and feed him, And he shall bless thee and thy house; And the blessing of the Lord shall rest upon thee and thy house.'
Yet it would not be by flood, as were the people in the days of Noah, but it would be by famine and by pestilence and the sword;
Or in other words, being without beginning of days or end of years, being prepared from eternity to all eternity according to His foreknowledge of all things-
"Thus they become high priests forever after the order of the Son of-the Only Begotten of-the Father, which is without beginning of days or end of years, which is full of grace, equity and truth. "And thus it is. Amen."
Yea, humble yourselves even as the people in the days of Melchizedek, who was also a high priest after this same order which I have spoken, who also took upon him the high priesthood forever;
And behold, they did repent; And Melchizedek did establish peace in the land in his days,
And it came to pass that when they had been cast into prison three days, there came many lawyers and judges and priests and teachers which were of the profession of Nehor;
And many such things, yea, all manner of such things did they say unto them; And thus they did mock them for many days.
And it came to pass after they had thus suffered for many days-and it was on the twelfth day, in the tenth month, in the tenth year of the reign of the judges over the people of Nephi- That the chief judge over the Land of Ammonihah, and many of their teachers and their lawyers, went in unto the prison where Alma and Amulek were bound with cords;
Nevertheless, after many days, their dead bodies were heaped up upon the face of the earth and they were covered with a shallow covering;
And it came to pass that they journeyed many days in the wilderness; And they fasted much and prayed much, that the Lord would grant unto them a portion of His Spirit to go with them and abide with them,
And it came to pass that after he had been in the service of the king three days, that as he was with the Lamanitish servants a going forth with their flocks to the place of water which was called the Waters of Sebus- and all the Lamanites drive their flocks hither that they might have water-
And it came to pass that his servants took him and carried him in unto his wife and laid him upon a bed; And he lay as if he were dead for the space of two days and two nights;
And it came to pass that after two days and two nights, They were about to take his body and lay it in a sepulcher which they had made for the purpose of burying their dead.
Therefore, if this is the case, I would that ye should go in and see my husband, for he has been laid upon his bed for the space of two days and two nights;
And there they were taken and cast into prison and bound with strong cords and kept in prison for many days, And were delivered by Lamoni and Ammon.
And rather than to take away from a brother, they would give unto him, And rather than to spend their days in idleness, they would labor abundantly with their hands.
Do ye suppose that ye can convince the Lamanites of the incorrectness of the traditions of their fathers, as stiff-necked a people as they are? Whose hearts delighteth in the shedding of blood? Whose days have been spent in the grossest iniquity? Whose ways have been the ways of a transgressor from the beginning?'
But it came to pass that after they had buried their dead, and also after the days of fasting and mourning and prayer-and it was in the sixteenth year of the reign of the judges over the people of Nephi-there began to be continual peace throughout all the land, Yea, and the people did observe to keep the commandments of the Lord;
And it came to pass that I fell to the earth; And it was for the space of three days and three nights that I could not open my mouth, neither had I the use of my limbs;
And now, for three days and for three nights was I racked even with the pains of a damned soul.
And it came to pass that I was three days and three nights in the most bitter pain and anguish of soul, And never, until I did cry out unto the Lord Jesus Christ for mercy, did I receive a remission of my sins;
Behold, I say unto you, Nay, But it meaneth the reuniting of the soul with the body of those from the days of Adam down to the resurrection of Christ.
And so it is on the other hand- If he hath repented of his sins and desired righteousness until the end of his days, even so shall he be rewarded unto righteousness-
If he hath desired to do evil and hath not repented in his days, Behold, evil shall be done unto him, according to the restoration of God.
The account of the people of Nephi and their wars and dissensions in the days of Helaman, according to the record of Helaman which he kept in his days.
But behold, there never was a happier time among the people of Nephi since the days of Nephi than in the days of Moroni, Yea, even at this time in the twenty and first year of the reign of the judges.
Yea, to support and maintain the cause of God all his days, And to bring the wicked to justice according to their crime. Now behold, his name was Pahoron;
And thus ended the twenty and fifth year of the reign of the judges over the people of Nephi. And thus ended the days of Amalickiah.
"And it came to pass that not many days had passed away before the Lamanites began to lose all hopes of succor; Therefore, they yielded up the city into our hands. "And thus we had accomplished our designs in obtaining the City Cumeni.
And Moroni yielded up the command of his armies into the hands of his son, whose name was Moronihah; And he retired to his own house, that he might spend the remainder of his days in peace.
And it came to pass that Coriantumr did smite him against the wall, insomuch that he died. And thus ended the days of Pacumeni.
And it came to pass that Nephi had become weary because of their iniquity, And he yielded up the judgment seat and took it upon him to preach the word of God all the remainder of his days, And his brother Lehi also, all the remainder of his days; For they remembered the words which their father Helaman spake unto them.
And after they had been cast into prison many days without food, Behold, they went forth into the prison to take them, that they might slay them.
And he did exclaim in the agony of his soul: "O that I could have had my days in the days when my father Nephi first came out of the Land of Jerusalem! That I could have joyed with him in the Promised Land!
Yea, if my days could have been in those days, then would my soul have had joy in the righteousness of my brethren.
"But behold, I am consigned that these are my days, and that my soul shall be filled with sorrow because of this, the wickedness of my brethren."
Therefore, the Lord will be merciful unto them; Yea, He will lengthen out their days and increase their seed, Even when thou shalt be utterly destroyed, except thou shalt repent.
"And now behold, Moses did not only testify of these things, but also all the holy prophets, From his day even to the days of Abraham-
"Yea, and behold, I say unto you that Abraham not only knew of these things, But there were many before the days of Abraham which were called by the order of God, yea, even after the order of His Son;
"And now I would that ye should know that even since the days of Abraham, that there hath been many prophets that hath testified these things- Yea, behold, the prophet Zenos did testify boldly, for the which he was slain;
And it came to pass that he did preach many days repentance unto the people, And they did cast him out; And he was about to return to his own land,
"And now when ye talk, ye say, 'If our days had been in the days of our fathers of old, We would not have slain the prophets; We would not have stoned them and cast them out.'
And in the days of your poverty, ye cannot retain them; And in the days of your poverty, ye shall cry unto the Lord; And in vain shall ye cry, For your desolation is already come upon you, And your destruction is made sure.
Behold, our iniquities are great! O Lord, canst Thou not turn away Thine anger from us?' "And this shall be your language in those days.
"But behold, your days of probation are past; Ye have procrastinated the day of your salvation until it is everlastingly too late and your destruction is made sure;
Yea, for ye have sought all the days of your lives for that which ye could not obtain; And ye have sought for happiness in doing iniquity, Which thing is contrary to the nature of that righteousness which is in our great and Eternal Head.
Therefore, they shall know of a surety that there shall be two days and a night; Nevertheless, the night shall not be darkened; And it shall be the night before He is born.
And there shall be no light upon the face of the land, even from the time that He shall suffer death, for the space of three days, to the time that He shall rise again from the dead.
And he said unto me that while the thunder and the lightning lasted and the tempest, that these things should be, And that darkness should cover the face of the whole earth for the space of three days.
For behold, they have been a chosen people of the Lord; Yea, the people of Nephi hath He loved; And also hath He chastened them, yea, in the days of their iniquities hath He chastened them because He loveth them.
"But behold, salvation hath come unto them through the preaching of the Nephites; And for this intent hath the Lord prolonged their days.
"And now because of their steadfastness-when they do believe in that thing which they do believe- For because of their firmness when they are once enlightened, Behold, the Lord shall bless them and prolong their days, notwithstanding their iniquity;
Yea, even if they should dwindle in unbelief, the Lord shall prolong their days until the time shall come which hath been spoken of by our fathers- And also by the prophet Zenos, and many other prophets- Concerning the restoration of our brethren the Lamanites again, to the knowledge of the truth.
'Therefore,' saith the Lord, 'I will not utterly destroy them, But I will cause that in the days of My wisdom, they shall return again unto Me,' saith the Lord;
And thus will they keep us in ignorance if we will yield ourselves unto them all the days of our lives."

And it came to pass that Orihah did execute judgment upon the land in righteousness all his days, whose days were exceeding many;
And there were no more wars in the days of Shule; And he remembered the great things that the Lord had done for his fathers in bringing them across the great deep into the Promised Land; Wherefore, he did execute judgment in righteousness all his days.
And now in the days of the reign of Omer, he was in captivity the half of his days.
And the Lord warned Omer in a dream that he should depart out of the land. Wherefore, Omer departed out of the land with his family and traveled many days, And came over and passed by the Hill of Shim,
And after that he had anointed Emer to be king, he saw peace in the land for the space of two years, And he died having seen exceeding many days which were full of sorrow.
And Emer did execute judgment in righteousness all his days, And he begat many sons and daughters; And he begat Coriantum, And he anointed Coriantum to reign in his stead;
And it came to pass that Coriantum did walk in the steps of his father, And did build many mighty cities, And did administer that which was good unto his people in all his days.
And his brother did raise up in rebellion against him, in the which he did bring him into captivity; And he did remain in captivity all his days, And he begat sons and daughters in captivity, And in his old age he begat Levi and he died.
And it came to pass that Corom did that which was good in the sight of the Lord all his days; And he begat many sons and daughters; And after that he had seen many days, he did pass away, even like unto the rest of the earth; And Kish reigned in his stead.
And in the days of Lib the poisonous serpents were destroyed, Wherefore, they did go into the Land Southward to hunt food for the people of the land, for the land was covered with animals of the forest;
And he served many years in captivity, yea, even all the remainder of his days;
And he begat Heth and Heth lived in captivity all his days;

And it came to pass that Coriantor dwelt in captivity all his days;
And in the days of Coriantor there also came many prophets and prophesied of great and marvelous things and cried repentance unto the people, And except they should repent, the Lord God would execute judgment against them to their utter destruction,
And it came to pass that Coriantor begat Ether; And he died having dwelt in captivity all his days.
And it came to pass that the days of Ether were in the days of Coriantumr; And Coriantumr was king over all the land,
And Ether was a prophet of the Lord. Wherefore, Ether came forth in the days of Coriantumr and began to prophesy unto the people, For he could not be constrained because of the Spirit of the Lord which was in him;
Behold, Ether saw the days of Christ; And he spake concerning a New Jerusalem upon this land- And he spake also concerning the house of Israel and the Jerusalem from whence Lehi should come- After that it should be destroyed, it should be built up again a holy city unto the Lord;
And it came to pass that Shared fought against him for the space of three days.
