2 Nephi 5:70 "Hearken unto Me, ye that follow after righteousness, Look unto the Rock from whence ye are hewn, And to the hole of the pit from whence ye are digged.

2 Nephi 5:85 But My righteousness shall be forever, And My salvation from generation to generation."

2 Nephi 5:114 Shake thyself from the dust! Arise! Sit down, O Jerusalem! Loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion!

2 Nephi 6:8 Yea, and I know that ye know that in the body He shall show Himself unto they at Jerusalem from whence we came,

2 Nephi 6:14 And because man became fallen, they were cut off from the presence of the Lord;

2 Nephi 6:20 For behold, if the flesh should rise no more, our spirits must become subject to that angel which fell from before the presence of the Eternal God and became the devil, to rise no more;

2 Nephi 6:42 But behold, the righteous, the saints of the Holy One of Israel - They which have believed in the Holy One of Israel, They which have endured the crosses of the world and despised the shame of it - They shall inherit the kingdom of God which was prepared for them from the foundation of the world, And their joy shall be full forever.

2 Nephi 6:43 O the greatness of the mercy of our God, the Holy One of Israel! For He delivereth His saints from that awful monster the devil and death and hell, And that lake of fire and brimstone, which is endless torment.

2 Nephi 6:54 For they are delivered by the power of Him; For the atonement satisfieth the demands of His justice upon all those who hath not the law given to them, That they are delivered from that awful monster death and hell and the devil, And the lake of fire and brimstone, which is endless torment;

2 Nephi 6:85 But the things of the wise and the prudent shall be hid from them forever, Yea, that happiness which is prepared for the saints.

2 Nephi 6:88 Wherefore, ye shall know at the last day, when all men shall be judged of their works, that the God of Israel did witness that I shook your iniquities from my soul, And that I stand with brightness before Him and am rid of your blood.

2 Nephi 6:89 O my beloved brethren, turn away from your sins! Shake off the chains of him that would bind you fast;

2 Nephi 6:96 Would I be plain unto you, according to the plainness of the truth, if ye were freed from sin?

2 Nephi 7:13 "And it shall come to pass that they shall be gathered in from their long dispersion - from the isles of the sea, and from the four parts of the earth;

2 Nephi 7:38 For behold, the Lord God hath led away from time to time from the house of Israel according to His will and pleasure.

2 Nephi 8:19 And many people shall go and say: "Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; And He will teach us of His ways, And we will walk in His paths." For out of Zion shall go forth the law, And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

2 Nephi 8:22 Therefore, O Lord, Thou hast forsaken Thy people, the house of Jacob, Because they be replenished from the east and hearken unto soothsayers like the Philistines, And they please themselves in the children of strangers.

2 Nephi 8:38 Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils; For wherein is he to be accounted of?

2 Nephi 8:39 For behold, the Lord, the Lord of Hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff - The whole staff of bread and the whole stay of water,

2 Nephi 8:68 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, And shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment and by the spirit of burning -

2 Nephi 8:70 And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, And for a place of refuge and a covert from storm and from rain.

2 Nephi 8:93 Which justify the wicked for reward, And take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!

2 Nephi 8:96 And He will lift up an ensign to the nations from far, And will hiss unto them from the end of the earth; And behold, they shall come with speed swiftly:

2 Nephi 9:55 And I will wait upon the Lord that hideth His face from the house of Jacob; And I will look for Him.

2 Nephi 9:56 Behold! I and the children whom the Lord hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the Lord of Hosts, which dwelleth in Mount Zion.

2 Nephi 9:57 And when they shall say unto you, "Seek unto them that have familiar spirits and unto wizards that peep and mutter, " Should not a people seek unto their God? For the living to hear from the dead?

2 Nephi 9:67 Of the increase of government and peace, there is no end upon the throne of David and upon His kingdom, To order it and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of Hosts will perform this.

2 Nephi 9:74 Therefore will the Lord cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush in one day -

2 Nephi 9:83 To turn aside the needy from judgment and to take away the right from the poor of My people, That widows may be their prey and that they may rob the fatherless.

2 Nephi 9:84 And what will ye do in the day of visitation? And in the desolation which shall come from far? To whom will ye flee for help? And where will ye leave your glory?

2 Nephi 9:108 And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, And the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

2 Nephi 9:126 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set His hand again the second time to recover the remnant of His people which shall be left - From Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.

2 Nephi 9:127 And He shall set up an ensign for the nations, And shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, And gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

2 Nephi 9:131 And there shall be a highway for the remnant of His people which shall be left, from Assyria, Like as it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the Land of Egypt.

2 Nephi 10:5 They come from a far country, from the end of heaven - Yea, the Lord and the weapons of His indignation - To destroy the whole land.

2 Nephi 10:6 Howl ye, for the day of the Lord is at hand! It shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.

2 Nephi 10:20 It shall never be inhabited, Neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation, Neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there, Neither shall the shepherds make their fold there.

2 Nephi 10:24 And the people shall take them and bring them to their place, yea, from far unto the ends of the earth; And they shall return to their lands of promise; And the house of Israel shall possess them, And the land of the Lord shall be for servants and handmaids; And they shall take them captives unto whom they were captives; And they shall rule over their oppressors.

2 Nephi 10:25 And it shall come to pass that in that day, that the Lord shall give thee rest from thy sorrow and from thy fear and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve.

2 Nephi 10:34 "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! Art thou cut down to the ground, which did weaken the nations!

2 Nephi 10:44 "For I will rise up against them, " saith the Lord of Hosts, "And cut off from Babylon the name and remnant and son and nephew, " saith the Lord.

2 Nephi 10:47 That I will bring the Assyrian in My land, And upon My mountains tread him underfoot. Then shall his yoke depart from off them, And his burden depart from off their shoulders.

2 Nephi 10:53 Howl, O gate! Cry, O city! Thou, whole Palestina, art dissolved; For there shall come from the north a smoke, And none shall be alone in his appointed times."

2 Nephi 11:6 But I give unto you a prophecy according to the Spirit which is in me; Wherefore, I shall prophesy according to the plainness which hath been with me from the time that I came out from Jerusalem with my father.

2 Nephi 11:8 Yea, and my soul delighteth in the words of Isaiah, For I came out from Jerusalem and mine eyes hath beheld the things of the Jews; And I know that the Jews do understand the things of the prophets, And there is none other people that understand the things of the prophets which were spoken unto the Jews, like unto them, Save it be that they are taught after the manner of the things of the Jews.

2 Nephi 11:15 And as one generation hath been destroyed among the Jews because of iniquity, Even so have they been destroyed from generation to generation according to their iniquities;

2 Nephi 11:22 Behold, they will crucify Him. And after that He is laid in a sepulcher for the space of three days, He shall rise from the dead with healing in His wings; And all they that shall believe on His name shall be saved in the kingdom of God;

2 Nephi 11:24 And behold, it shall come to pass that after the Messiah hath risen from the dead and hath manifested Himself unto His people, unto as many as will believe on His name, Behold, Jerusalem shall be destroyed again, For wo unto them that fight against God and the people of His church!

2 Nephi 11:26 And after that they have been scattered and the Lord God hath scourged them by other nations for the space of many generations - Yea, even down from generation to generation until they shall be persuaded to believe in Christ, the Son of God, and the atonement, which is infinite for all mankind -

2 Nephi 11:28 And the Lord will set His hand again the second time to restore His people from their lost and fallen state;

2 Nephi 11:35 For according to the words of the prophets, the Messiah cometh in six hundred years from the time that my father left Jerusalem;

2 Nephi 11:40 Wherefore, for this cause hath the Lord God promised unto me that these things which I write shall be kept and preserved and handed down unto my seed from generation to generation: That the promise may be fulfilled unto Joseph that his seed should never perish as long as the earth should stand.

2 Nephi 11:41 Wherefore, these things shall go from generation to generation as long as the earth shall stand; And they shall go according to the will and pleasure of God;

2 Nephi 11:58 And after that Christ shall have risen from the dead, He shall show Himself unto you, my children and my beloved brethren,

2 Nephi 11:64 Wherefore, the cry of the blood of the saints shall ascend up to God from the ground against them.

2 Nephi 11:98 Behold, doth He cry unto any, saying, "Depart from Me"?

2 Nephi 11:126 And behold, the book shall be sealed; And in the book shall be a revelation from God, from the beginning of the world to the ending thereof.

2 Nephi 11:128 Wherefore, the book shall be kept from them;

2 Nephi 11:130 For the book shall be sealed by the power of God; And the revelation which was sealed shall be kept in the book until the own due time of the Lord, that they may come forth; For behold, they reveal all things from the foundation of the world unto the end thereof.

2 Nephi 11:133 Wherefore, at that day when the book shall be delivered unto the man of whom I have spoken, The book shall be hid from the eyes of the world that the eyes of none shall behold it, Save it be that three witnesses shall behold it by the power of God, besides him to whom the book shall be delivered, And they shall testify to the truth of the book and the things therein;

2 Nephi 11:134 And there is none other which shall view it, Save it be a few according to the will of God, to bear testimony of His word unto the children of men; For the Lord God hath said that the words of the faithful should speak as if it were from the dead.

2 Nephi 11:146 And again, it shall come to pass that the Lord shall say unto him that shall read the words that shall be delivered him: "Forasmuch as this people draw near unto Me with their mouth and with their lips do honor Me, But have removed their heart far from Me and their fear toward Me is taught by the precept of men, Therefore, I will proceed to do a marvelous work among this people,

2 Nephi 11:148 "But wo unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the Lord!

2 Nephi 12:12 Yea, and there shall be many which shall teach after this manner false and vain and foolish doctrines, And shall be puffed up in their hearts, And shall seek deep to hide their counsels from the Lord, And their works shall be in the dark, And the blood of the saints shall cry from the ground against them.

2 Nephi 12:28 And thus he whispereth in their ears until he grasps them with his awful chains from whence there is no deliverance;

2 Nephi 12:29 Yea, they are grasped with death and hell; And death and hell and the devil and all that have been seized therewith must stand before the throne of God and be judged according to their works, From whence they must go into the place prepared for them, even a lake of fire and brimstone, which is endless torment.

2 Nephi 12:38 For unto him that receiveth, I will give more; And them that shall say, 'We have enough, ' from them shall be taken away even that which they have.

2 Nephi 12:40 "Wo be unto the Gentiles!" saith the Lord God of Hosts; "For notwithstanding I shall lengthen out Mine arm unto them from day to day, they will deny Me;

2 Nephi 12:46 But thus saith the Lord God: "O fools! they shall have a Bible; And it shall proceed forth from the Jews, Mine ancient covenant people;

2 Nephi 12:47 And what thank they the Jews for the Bible which they receive from them?

2 Nephi 12:63 "And because that I have spoken one word, Ye need not suppose that I cannot speak another; For My work is not yet finished; Neither shall it be until the end of man; Neither from that time henceforth and forever.

2 Nephi 12:81 And then shall the remnant of our seed know concerning us - how that we came out from Jerusalem - And that they are a descendant of the Jews;

2 Nephi 12:83 And then shall they rejoice, For they shall know that it is a blessing unto them from the hand of God;

2 Nephi 12:84 And their scales of darkness shall begin to fall from their eyes; And many generations shall not pass away among them, save they shall be a white and a delightsome people.

2 Nephi 13:19 And I heard a voice from the Father, saying: "Yea, the words of My Beloved are true and faithful;

2 Nephi 15:7 I glory in plainness! I glory in truth! I glory in my Jesus, for He hath redeemed my soul from hell!

2 Nephi 15:9 I have charity for the Jew - I say Jew because I mean them from whence I came; I also have charity for the Gentiles;

2 Nephi 15:16 And now my beloved brethren, all they which are of the house of Israel and all ye ends of the earth, I speak unto you as the voice of one crying from the dust - Farewell, until that great day shall come.

Jacob 1:1 For behold, it came to pass that fifty and five years had passed away from the time that Lehi left Jerusalem; Wherefore, Nephi gave me, Jacob, a commandment concerning these small plates upon which these things are engraven;

Jacob 1:3 For he said that the history of his people should be engraven upon his other plates, And that I should preserve these plates and hand them down unto my seed from generation to generation;

Jacob 1:17 Wherefore, I, Jacob, gave unto them these words as I taught them in the temple, having firstly obtained mine errand from the Lord.

Jacob 2:9 Wherefore, it burdeneth my soul that I should be constrained, because of the strict commandment which I have received from God, to admonish you according to your crimes, to enlarge the wounds of those which are already wounded, instead of consoling and healing their wounds;

Jacob 2:20 O that He would rid you from this iniquity and abomination!

Jacob 2:34 Wherefore, thus saith the Lord: "I have led this people forth out of the Land of Jerusalem by the power of Mine arm, that I might raise up unto Me a righteous branch from the fruit of the loins of Joseph;

Jacob 2:53 And the time speedily cometh that except ye repent, they shall possess the land of your inheritance; And the Lord God will lead away the righteous out from among you.

Jacob 2:64 O my brethren, hearken unto my words! Arouse the faculties of your souls! Shake yourselves, that ye may awake from the slumber of death;

Jacob 2:65 And loose yourselves from the pains of hell, that ye may not become angels to the devil, to be cast into that lake of fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

Jacob 3:14 Wherefore brethren, seek not to counsel the Lord, but to take counsel from His hand;

Jacob 3:24 For God hath taken away His plainness from them and delivered unto them many things which they cannot understand, because they desired it;

Jacob 3:29 Behold, my beloved brethren, I will unfold this mystery unto you, if I do not by any means get shaken from my firmness in the Spirit and stumble because of my overanxiety for you.

Jacob 3:36 Wherefore, go and pluck the branches from a wild olive tree and bring them hither unto Me, And We will pluck off those main branches which are beginning to wither away, And We will cast them into the fire that they may be burned.

Jacob 3:82 Nevertheless, I know that the roots are good and for Mine own purpose I have preserved them; And because of their much strength, they have hitherto brought forth from the wild branches good fruit,

Jacob 3:112 Wherefore, let Us take of the branches of these which I have planted in the nethermost parts of My vineyard and let Us graft them into the tree from whence they came;

Jacob 3:113 And let Us pluck from the tree those branches whose fruit is most bitter and graft in the natural branches of the tree in the stead thereof;

Jacob 3:118 "And it came to pass that They took from the natural tree which had become wild and grafted in unto the natural trees which also had become wild;

Jacob 3:120 "And the Lord of the vineyard saith unto the Servant: 'Pluck not the wild branches from the trees, save it be those which are most bitter, And in them Ye shall graft according to that which I have said;

Jacob 3:121 And We will nourish again the trees of the vineyard, And We will trim up the branches thereof, And We will pluck from the trees those branches which are ripened that must perish and cast them into the fire.

Jacob 3:144 And they became like unto one body, And the fruit were equal, And the Lord of the vineyard had preserved unto Himself the natural fruit which was most precious unto Him from the beginning.

Jacob 5:7 And he had hope to shake me from the faith, notwith - standing the many revelations and the many things which I had seen concerning these things; For I truly had seen angels and they had ministered unto me,

Jacob 5:8 And also, I had heard the voice of the Lord speaking unto me in very word from time to time, Wherefore, I could not be shaken.

Jacob 5:43 that the time passed away with us, And also our lives passed away, like as it were unto us a dream, We being a lonesome and a solemn people, wanderers cast out from Jerusalem,

Enos 1:39 I say there was nothing short of these things and exceeding great plainness of speech would keep them from going down speedily to destruction.

Enos 1:42 And it came to pass that I began to be old; And an hundred and seventy and nine years had passed away from the time that our father Lehi left Jerusalem;

Omni 1:2 Wherefore in my days, I would that ye should know that I fought much with the sword to preserve my people the Nephites from falling into the hands of their enemies, the Lamanites.

Omni 1:8 For the Lord would not suffer - after He had led them out of the Land of Jerusalem and kept and preserved them from falling into the hands of their enemies - Yea, He would not suffer that the words should not be verified which He spake unto our fathers, saying that, "Inasmuch as ye will not keep My commandments, ye shall not prosper in the land."

Omni 1:26 Behold, it came to pass that Mosiah discovered that the people of Zarahemla came out from Jerusalem at the time that Zedekiah, king of Judah, was carried away captive into Babylon;

Omni 1:27 And they journeyed in the wilderness and were brought by the hand of the Lord across the great waters into the land where Mosiah discovered them; And they had dwelt there from that time forth;

Omni 1:29 Nevertheless, they had had many wars and serious contentions and had fallen by the sword from time to time;

Omni 1:39 And his first parents came out from the Tower at the time the Lord confounded the language of the people; And the severity of the Lord fell upon them according to His judgments which are just, And their bones lay scattered in the Land Northward.

Omni 1:45 For there is nothing which is good, save it comes from the Lord, And that which is evil cometh from the devil.

Jarom 1:7 Nevertheless, God is exceeding merciful unto them and hath not as yet swept them off from the face of the land;

Jarom 1:23 And it came to pass that the prophets of the Lord did threaten the people of Nephi according to the word of God, That if they did not keep the commandments, but should fall into transgression, they should be destroyed from off the face of the land.

Jarom 1:27 And it came to pass that by so doing, they kept them from being destroyed upon the face of the land,

Words of Mormon 1:4 And now I speak somewhat concerning that which I have written, For after that I had made an abridgment from the plates of Nephi down to the reign of this King Benjamin of which Amaleki spake,

Words of Mormon 1:5 I searched among the records which had been delivered into my hands, And I found these plates which contained this small account of the prophets from Jacob down to the reign of this King Benjamin, and also many of the words of Nephi.

Words of Mormon 1:8 Wherefore, I chose these things to finish my record upon them, which remainder of my record I shall take from the plates of Nephi; And I cannot write a hundredth part of the things of my people.

Words of Mormon 1:13 And now I, Mormon, proceed to finish out my record which I take from the plates of Nephi, And I make it according to the knowledge and the understanding which God hath given me.

Words of Mormon 1:14 Wherefore, it came to pass that after Amaleki had delivered up these plates into the hands of King Benjamin, He took them and put them with the other plates which contained records which had been handed down by the kings from generation to generation until the days of King Benjamin;

Words of Mormon 1:15 And they were handed down from King Benjamin from generation to generation until they have fallen into my hands.

Words of Mormon 1:16 And I, Mormon, pray to God that they may be preserved from this time henceforth;

Mosiah 1:10 And behold, also the plates of Nephi which contain the records and the sayings of our fathers from the time they left Jerusalem until now - and they are true; And we can know of their surety because we have them before our eyes.

Mosiah 1:33 And it came to pass that when they came up to the temple, they pitched their tents round about, Every man according to his family - consisting of his wife, and his sons and his daughters, and their sons and their daughters, from the eldest down to the youngest - Every family being separate one from another.

Mosiah 1:36 And it came to pass that he began to speak to his people from the tower; And they could not all hear his words because of the greatness of the multitude,

Mosiah 1:51 And behold also, if I, whom ye call your king, who has spent his days in your service and yet hath been in the service of God, doth merit any thanks from you, O how had you ought to thank your heavenly King!

Mosiah 1:53 I say unto you, that if ye should serve Him who hath created you from the beginning, And art preserving you from day to day by lending you breath, that ye may live and move and do according to your own will, And even supporting you from one moment to another -

Mosiah 1:56 And He never doth vary from that which He hath said; Therefore, if ye do keep His commandments, He doth bless you and prosper you.

Mosiah 1:71 As ye have kept my commandments, and also the commandments of my father, and have prospered and have been kept from falling into the hands of your enemies;

Mosiah 1:79 "And now I say unto you my brethren, that after ye have known and have been taught all these things, If ye should transgress and go contrary to that which hath been spoken, That ye do withdraw yourselves from the Spirit of the Lord, that it may have no place in you to guide you in wisdom's paths, that ye may be blessed, prospered and preserved -

Mosiah 1:84 Which doth cause him to shrink from the presence of the Lord, And doth fill his breast with guilt and pain and anguish, which is like an unquenchable fire whose flames ascendeth up forever and ever.

Mosiah 1:93 For behold, I have things to tell you concerning that which is to come; And the things which I shall tell you are made known unto me by an angel from God;

Mosiah 1:97 'For behold, the time cometh and is not far distant, that with power the Lord Omnipotent who reigneth, which was and is from all eternity to all eternity, Shall come down from heaven among the children of men, And shall dwell in a tabernacle of clay,

Mosiah 1:101 For behold, blood cometh from every pore, so great shall be His anguish for the wickedness and the abominations of His people.

Mosiah 1:102 'And He shall be called Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Father of heaven and of earth, the Creator of all things from the beginning; And His mother shall be called Mary;

Mosiah 1:105 And He shall rise the third day from the dead; And behold, He standeth to judge the world.

Mosiah 1:119 'For the natural man is an enemy to God and has been from the fall of Adam and will be forever and ever,

Mosiah 1:127 'And if they be evil, they are consigned to an awful view of their own guilt and abominations, Which doth cause them to shrink from the presence of the Lord into a state of misery and endless torment from whence they can no more return; Therefore, they have drunk damnation to their own souls.

Mosiah 2:10 And also the atonement which hath been prepared from the foundation of the world, that thereby salvation might come to him that should put his trust in the Lord, And should be diligent in keeping His commandments and continue in the faith, even unto the end of his life - I mean the life of the mortal body -

Mosiah 2:11 I say that this is the man that receiveth salvation through the atonement which was prepared from the foundation of the world for all mankind, Which ever was, ever since the fall of Adam, or which is or which ever shall be, even unto the end of the world.

Mosiah 2:40 "And again I say unto the poor, ye that have not and yet hath sufficient that ye remain from day to day - I mean all you that deny the beggar because ye have not - I would that ye say in your hearts that ' I give not because I have not, but if I had I would give. '

Mosiah 2:42 "And now for the sake of these things which I have spoken unto you - that is, for the sake of retaining a remission of your sins from day to day, that ye may walk guiltless before God -

Mosiah 3:17 "For how knoweth a man the master which he hath not served and which is a stranger unto him and is far from the thoughts and intents of his heart?

Mosiah 4:6 And he began to reign in the thirtieth year of his age, making, in the whole, about four hundred and seventy - six years from the time that Lehi left Jerusalem.

Mosiah 5:2 For his people had heard nothing from them from the time they left the Land of Zarahemla, Therefore, they wearied him with their teasings.

Mosiah 5:23 And now King Limhi commanded his guards that they should no more bind Ammon nor his brethren, But caused that they should go to the hill which was north of Shilom and bring their brethren into the city, That thereby they might eat and drink and rest themselves from the labors of their journey,

Mosiah 5:54 And he caused that Ammon should stand up before the multitude and rehearse unto them all that had happened unto their brethren from the time that Zeniff went up out of the land, even until the time that he himself came up out of the land;

Mosiah 5:57 And it came to pass that he caused that the plates which contained the record of his people from the time that they left the Land of Zarahemla should be brought before Ammon, that he might read them.

Mosiah 5:70 For perhaps they will give us a knowledge of a remnant of the people which have been destroyed, from whence these records came,

Mosiah 5:72 Now Ammon saith unto him: "I can assuredly tell thee, O king, of a man that can translate the records, For he hath wherewith that he can look and translate all records that are of ancient date, And it is a gift from God,

Mosiah 5:75 "And behold, the king of the people which is in the Land of Zarahemla is the man that is commanded to do these things and which hath this high gift from God."

Mosiah 5:77 And Ammon saith that: "A seer is a revelator and a prophet also; And a gift which is greater can no man have, except he should possess the power of God, which no man can, Yet a man may have great power given him from God.

Mosiah 5:86 Yea, they are as a wild flock which fleeth from the shepherd and scattereth, And are driven and are devoured by the beasts of the forest."

Mosiah 6:Intro An account of his people from the time they left the Land of Zarahemla, until the time that they were delivered out of the hands of the Lamanites.

Mosiah 6:29 And thus I did guard my people and my flocks and keep them from falling into the hands of our enemies.

Mosiah 7:43 Now the eyes of the people were blinded; Therefore, they hardened their hearts against the words of Abinadi and they sought from that time forward to take him;

Mosiah 7:55 'And it shall come to pass that except they repent, I will utterly destroy them from off the face of the earth;

Mosiah 7:107 And he spake with power and authority from God. And he continued his words, saying: "Ye see that ye have not power to slay me, therefore I finish my message;

Mosiah 8:7 Therefore, there was a law given them, yea, a law of performances and ordinances, A law which they were to observe strictly from day to day to keep them in remembrance of God and their duty toward Him.

Mosiah 8:18 He is despised and rejected of men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we esteemed Him not.

Mosiah 8:23 He was taken from prison and from judgment, And who shall declare His generation? For He was cut off out of the land of the living; For the transgressions of My people was He stricken.

Mosiah 8:44 For these are they whose sins He hath borne; These are they for whom He hath died to redeem them from their transgressions;

Mosiah 8:50 "And again, how beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of those who shall hereafter publish peace, Yea, from this time henceforth and forever!

Mosiah 8:53 For were it not for the redemption which He hath made for His people, which was prepared from the foundation of the world, I say unto you, were it not for this, that all mankind must have perished.

Mosiah 8:75 Which was the cause of all mankind becoming carnal, sensual, devilish, knowing evil from good, subjecting themselves to the devil;

Mosiah 8:76 Thus all mankind were lost; And behold, they would have been endlessly lost were it not that God redeemed His people from their lost and fallen state.

Mosiah 8:80 And if Christ had not risen from the dead, or have broken the bands of death that the grave should have no victory and that death should have no sting, there could have been no resurrection.

Mosiah 8:87 For the arms of mercy were extended toward them and they would not, They being warned of their iniquities and yet they would not depart from them,

Mosiah 9:5 But the king was more wroth and caused that Alma should be cast out from among them and sent his servants after him, that they might slay him;

Mosiah 9:6 But he fled from before them and hid himself, that they found him not;

Mosiah 9:28 And now it came to pass that Alma, who had fled from the servants of King Noah, repented of his sins and iniquities and went about privately among the people and began to teach the words of Abinadi,

Mosiah 9:32 And it came to pass that as many as did believe him did go forth to a place which was called Mormon, Having received its name from the king, being in the borders of the land, Having been infested by times, or at seasons, by wild beasts.

Mosiah 9:33 Now there was in Mormon a fountain of pure water, And Alma resorted thither, there being near the water a thicket of small trees where he did hide himself in the daytime from the searches of the king.

Mosiah 9:44 And when he had said these words, the Spirit of the Lord was upon him and he said: "Helam, I baptize thee, having authority from the Almighty God, as a testimony that ye have entered into a covenant to serve Him until you are dead, as to the mortal body; And may the Spirit of the Lord be poured out upon you, And may He grant unto you eternal life through the redemption of Christ which He hath prepared from the foundation of the world."

Mosiah 9:49 And they were called the church of God, or the church of Christ, from that time forward.

Mosiah 9:51 And it came to pass that Alma, having authority from God, ordained priests - even one priest to every fifty of their number did he ordain - To preach unto them and to teach them concerning the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.

Mosiah 9:59 And the priests were not to depend upon the people for their support, But for their labor they were to receive the grace of God, that they might wax strong in the Spirit, Having the knowledge of God, that they might teach with power and authority from God.

Mosiah 9:90 even one half of all they possessed - One half of their gold and their silver and all their precious things; And thus they should pay tribute to the king of the Lamanites from year to year.

Mosiah 9:100 And the people told the men of Gideon that they had slain the king and his priests had fled from them farther into the wilderness.

Mosiah 9:106 And he did support his guards out of the tribute which he did receive from the Nephites.

Mosiah 9:115 And now Limhi had discovered them from the tower - even all their preparations for war did he discover; Therefore, he gathered his people together and laid wait for them in the fields and in the forests.

Mosiah 9:116 And it came to pass that when the Lamanites had come up, that the people of Limhi began to fall upon them from their waiting places and began to slay them.

Mosiah 9:133 For are not the words of Abinadi fulfilled which he prophesied against us? And all this because we would not hearken unto the word of the Lord and turn from our iniquities?

Mosiah 9:149 Now there were a great many widows in the land and they did cry mightily from day to day, for a great fear of the Lamanites had come upon them.

Mosiah 9:165 And had they been the priests of Noah, he would have caused that they should be put to death; But when he found that they were not, but that they were his brethren and had come from the Land of Zarahemla, he was filled with exceeding great joy.

Mosiah 9:170 And now Limhi was again filled with joy on learning from the mouth of Ammon that King Benjamin had a gift from God whereby he could interpret such engravings. Yea, and Ammon also did rejoice;

Mosiah 9:176 And it came to pass that King Limhi and many of his people were desirous to be baptized, but there was none in the land that had authority from God;

Mosiah 9:181 And now all the study of Ammon and his people, and King Limhi and his people, was to deliver themselves out of the hands of the Lamanites and from bondage.

Mosiah 11:14 Yea, even out of the hands of King Noah and his people, and also from the bonds of iniquity, Even so, I desire that ye should stand fast in this liberty wherewith ye have been made free and that ye trust no man to be a king over you,

Mosiah 11:18 And it came to pass that none received authority to preach or to teach, except it were by him from God;

Mosiah 11:29 Now it came to pass that the brethren of Alma fled from their fields and gathered themselves together into the City of Helam; And they were much frightened because of the appearance of the Lamanites.

Mosiah 11:81 And it came to pass that Mosiah did read, and caused to be read, the records of Zeniff to his people, Yea, he read the records of the people of Zeniff from the time they left the Land of Zarahemla until the time they returned again;

Mosiah 11:82 And he also read the account of Alma and his brethren and all their afflictions from the time they left the Land of Zarahemla until the time they returned again.

Mosiah 11:92 And it came to pass that Alma did speak unto them when they were assembled together in large bodies; And he went from one body to another preaching unto the people repentance and faith on the Lord;

Mosiah 11:141 "Now I say unto you, Go, And whosoever will not repent of his sins, the same shall not be numbered among My people; And this shall be observed from this time forward."

Mosiah 11:173 And I am sent from God.

Mosiah 11:188 Yea, born of God, Changed from their carnal and fallen state to a state of righteousness, Being redeemed of God, becoming His sons and daughters, And thus they become new creatures; And unless they do this, they can in no wise inherit the kingdom of God.'

Mosiah 11:191 My soul hath been redeemed from the gall of bitterness and bonds of iniquity!

Mosiah 11:200 And now it came to pass that Alma began from this time forward to teach the people, And those which were with Alma at the time the angel appeared unto them,

Mosiah 12:19 Now these things were prepared from the beginning and were handed down from generation to generation for the purpose of interpreting languages;

Mosiah 12:22 Now after Mosiah had finished translating these records, Behold, it gave an account of the people which were destroyed, From the time that they were destroyed back to the building of the Great Tower, At the time the Lord confounded the language of the people,

Mosiah 12:23 and they were scattered abroad upon the face of all the earth, Yea, and even from that time until the creation of Adam -

Mosiah 13:2 Yea, all the records, and also the interpreters - And conferred them upon him and commanding him that he should keep and preserve them, and also keep a record of the people, Handing them down from one generation to another, even as they had been handed down from the time that Lehi left Jerusalem.

Mosiah 13:60 For he had not exacted riches of them, neither had he delighted in the shedding of blood, But he had established peace in the land and he had granted unto his people that they should be delivered from all manner of bondage;

Mosiah 13:67 And it came to pass that Mosiah died also, in the thirty and third year of his reign, being sixty and three years old, Making in the whole five hundred and nine years from the time Lehi left Jerusalem.

Alma 1:1 Now it came to pass that in the first year of the reign of the judges over the people of Nephi, From this time forward, King Mosiah, having gone the way of all the earth, having warred a good warfare, walking uprightly before God, leaving no one to reign in his stead -

Alma 1:35 And also many withdrew themselves from among them.

Alma 1:77 And Alma sent spies to follow the remnant of the Amlicites, that he might know of their plans and their plots, Whereby he might guard himself against them, that he might preserve his people from being destroyed.

Alma 1:90 And he also contended with the king of the Lamanites, But the king of the Lamanites fled back from before Alma and sent his guards to contend with Alma;

Alma 1:102 And the Amlicites were distinguished from the Nephites, for they had marked themselves with red in their foreheads after the manner of the Lamanites; Nevertheless, they had not shorn their heads like unto the Lamanites.

Alma 1:106 And this was done that their seed might be distinguished from the seed of their brethren, that thereby the Lord God might preserve His people, that they might not mix and believe in incorrect traditions which would prove their destruction.

Alma 1:109 And it came to pass that whosoever would not believe in the tradition of the Lamanites, But believed those records which were brought out of the Land of Jerusalem, and also in the tradition of their fathers, which were correct, Which believed in the commandments of God and kept them, Were called the Nephites, or the people of Nephi, from that time forth;

Alma 1:113 "Behold, the Lamanites have I cursed; And I will set a mark upon them, that they and their seed may be separated from thee and thy seed from this time, henceforth and forever, except they repent of their wickedness and turn to me, that I may have mercy upon them.

Alma 1:116 "And again I say, he that departeth from thee shall no more be called thy seed; And I will bless thee, etc., and whomsoever shall be called thy seed, henceforth and forever." And these were the promises of the Lord unto Nephi and to his seed.

Alma 2:18 And it came to pass in the commencement of the ninth year, Alma seeing the wickedness of the church, And seeing also that the example of the church began to lead those who were unbelievers on from one piece of iniquity to another, thus bringing on the destruction of the people,

Alma 2:21 Being filled with great joy because of the resurrection of the dead according to the will and power and deliverance of Jesus Christ from the bands of death -

Alma 3:1 Now it came to pass that Alma began to declare the word of God unto the people, first in the Land of Zarahemla and from thence throughout all the land;

Alma 3:3 "I, Alma, having been consecrated by my father Alma to be a high priest over the church of God, he having power and authority from God to do these things, Behold, I say unto you that he began to establish a church in the land which was in the borders of Nephi -

Alma 3:10 And moreover, have ye sufficiently retained in remembrance that He hath delivered their souls from hell?

Alma 3:20 What is the cause of their being loosed from the bands of death, yea, and also the chains of hell?

Alma 3:40 Yea, his garments must be purified until they are cleansed from all stain through the blood of Him of whom it hath been spoken by our fathers which should come to redeem His people from their sins.

Alma 3:45 "I say unto you, nay, except ye make our Creator a liar from the beginning, or suppose that He is a liar from the beginning; Or also, ye cannot suppose that such an one can have place in the kingdom of heaven, But they shall be cast out, for they are the children of the kingdom of the devil.

Alma 3:49 That your garments have been cleansed and made white through the blood of Christ which will come to redeem His people from their sins?

Alma 3:67 For I say unto you that whatsoever is good cometh from God, And whatsoever is evil cometh from the devil.

Alma 3:96 Yea, and will you persist in turning your backs upon the poor and the needy and in withholding your substance from them?

Alma 3:98 "And now I say unto you, all you that are desirous to follow the voice of the Good Shepherd: Come ye out from the wicked! and be ye separate! and touch not their unclean things!

Alma 4:7 And now it came to pass that when Alma had made these regulations, He departed from them, yea, from the church which was in the City of Zarahemla,

Alma 4:10 And according to the spirit of prophecy which was in him, According to the testimony of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, which should come for to redeem His people from their sins, And the holy order by which he was called. And thus it is written. Amen.

Alma 5:25 Therefore, come and be baptized unto repentance, that ye may be washed from your sins, That ye may have faith on the Lamb of God which taketh away the sins of the world, which is mighty to save and to cleanse from all unrighteousness.

Alma 5:28 And whosoever doeth this and keepeth the commandments of God from thenceforth, The same will remember that I say unto him, yea, he will remember that I have said unto him, he shall have eternal life according to the testimony of the Holy Spirit which testifieth in me.

Alma 5:32 For as I said unto you from the beginning that I had much desire that ye were not in the state of dilemma like your brethren, Even so I have found that my desires have been gratified.

Alma 5:35 Neither doth He vary from that which He hath said, Neither hath He a shadow of turning from the right to the left, Or from that which is right to that which is wrong, Therefore, His course is one eternal round.

Alma 5:44 And now may the peace of God rest upon you, and upon your houses and lands, and upon your flocks and herds, and all that you possess, your women and your children, According to your faith and good works from this time, henceforth and forever. And thus I have spoken. Amen.

Alma 6:1 And now it came to pass that Alma returned from the Land of Gideon after having taught the people of Gideon many things which cannot be written, Having established the order of the church according as he had before done in the Land of Zarahemla;

Alma 6:2 Yea, he returned to his own house at Zarahemla to rest himself from the labors which he had performed.

Alma 6:4 And it came to pass in the commencement of the tenth year of the reign of the judges over the people of Nephi that Alma departed from thence and took his journey over into the Land of Melek on the west of the River Sidon, on the west by the borders of the wilderness;

Alma 6:19 For thou hast been faithful in keeping the commandments of God from the time which thou received thy first message from Him.

Alma 6:23 Now it came to pass that after Alma had received his message from the angel of the Lord, he returned speedily to the Land of Ammonihah.

Alma 7:11 And have ye forgotten so soon how many times He delivered our fathers out of the hands of their enemies and preserved them from being destroyed, even by the hands of their own brethren?

Alma 7:12 Yea, and if it had not been for His matchless power and His mercy and His longsuffering toward us, We should unavoidably have been cut off from the face of the earth long before this period of time and perhaps been consigned to a state of endless misery and wo.

Alma 7:14 "But behold, this is not all - He hath commanded you to repent or He will utterly destroy you from off the face of the earth; Yea, He will visit you in His anger, And in His fierce anger He will not turn away.

Alma 7:16 And again, it is said that: 'Inasmuch as ye will not keep My commandments, ye shall be cut off from the presence of the Lord.'

Alma 7:17 "Now, I would that ye should remember that inasmuch as the Lamanites have not kept the commandments of God, they have been cut off from the presence of the Lord.

Alma 7:18 "Now, we see that the word of the Lord hath been verified in this thing, And the Lamanites have been cut off from His presence from the beginning of their transgressions in the land.

Alma 7:33 Having been saved from famine and from sicknesses and all manner of diseases of every kind,

Alma 7:35 "And now behold I say unto you, that if this people, who have received so many blessings from the hand of the Lord, should transgress contrary to the light and knowledge which they do have -

Alma 7:38 For hath not the Lord expressly promised and firmly decreed that if ye will rebel against Him, that ye shall utterly be destroyed from off the face of the earth?

Alma 8:33 But it is by the prayers of the righteous that ye are spared. "Now therefore, if ye will cast out the righteous from among you, then will not the Lord stay His hand, but in His fierce anger He will come out against you;

Alma 8:51 And he judgeth the man according to the law and the evidences which are brought against him; And thus the man is compelled to pay that which he oweth, or be striped, or be cast out from among the people as a thief and a robber.

Alma 8:76 For thou saidst unto me, 'Behold these six onties which are of great worth, I will give unto thee, ' when thou had it in thy heart to retain them from me;

Alma 8:98 "For behold, the day cometh that all shall rise from the dead and stand before God and be judged according to their works.

Alma 8:99 "Now there is a death which is called temporal death; And the death of Christ shall loose the bands of this temporal death, that all shall be raised from this temporal death;

Alma 8:106 I say unto you that this mortal body is raised to an immortal body, That is, from death, even from the first death unto life, that they can die no more, Their spirits uniting with their bodies, never to be divided,

Alma 9:14 And he saith unto Alma: "What does this mean which Amulek hath spoken concerning the resurrection of the dead, That all shall rise from the dead, both the just and the unjust, and are brought to stand before God to be judged according to their works?"

Alma 9:21 Now this is what is meant by the chains of hell. "And Amulek hath spoken plainly concerning death, And being raised from this mortality to a state of immortality, And being brought before the bar of God to be judged according to our works.

Alma 9:25 And we would fain be glad if we could command the rocks and the mountains to fall upon us to hide us from His presence.

Alma 9:34 But there was one, Antionah, who was a chief ruler among them, came forth and said unto him: "What is this that thou hast said, that man should rise from the dead and be changed from this mortal to an immortal state, that the soul can never die?

Alma 9:42 "Now if it had not been for the plan of redemption which was laid from the foundation of the world, there could have been no resurrection of the dead;

Alma 9:49 And they began from that time forth to call on His name. "Therefore, God conversed with men and made known unto them the plan of redemption which had been prepared from the foundation of the world;

Alma 9:51 "Wherefore, He gave commandments unto men, they having first transgressed the first commandments as to things which were temporal and becoming as gods, knowing good from evil, Placing themselves in a state to act, or being placed in a state to act, according to their wills and pleasures, whether to do evil or to do good.

Alma 9:65 "And this is the manner after which they were ordained, being called and prepared from the foundation of the world according to the foreknowledge of God, On account of their exceeding faith and good works, in the first place being left to choose good or evil -

Alma 9:68 Or in fine, in the first place they were on the same standing with their brethren - "Thus this holy calling being prepared from the foundation of the world for such as would not harden their hearts, Being in and through the atonement of the Only Begotten Son which was prepared;

Alma 9:70 This high priesthood being after the order of His Son, which order was from the foundation of the world,

Alma 9:71 Or in other words, being without beginning of days or end of years, being prepared from eternity to all eternity according to His foreknowledge of all things -

Alma 10:27 "And now my brethren, I wish from the inmost part of my heart, yea, with great anxiety even unto pain, That ye would hearken unto my words and cast off your sins and not procrastinate the day of your repentance;

Alma 10:43 And it came to pass that he began to plead for them from that time forth, but they reviled him, saying: "Art thou also possessed with the devil?"

Alma 10:44 And it came to pass that they spit upon him and cast him out from among them, And also all those who believed in the words which had been spoken by Alma and Amulek; And they cast them out and sent men to cast stones at them;

Alma 10:49 Therefore, let us stretch forth our hands and exercise the power of God which is in us and save them from the flames."

Alma 10:71 And they did withhold food from them, that they might hunger, And water, that they might thirst;

Alma 10:72 And they also did take from them their clothes, that they were naked; And thus they were bound with strong cords and confined in prison.

Alma 10:74 And the chief judge stood before them and smote them again and saith unto them: "If ye have the power of God, deliver yourselves from these bands; And then we will believe that the Lord will destroy this people, according to your words."

Alma 10:82 And they straightway came forth out of the prison and they were loosed from their bands.

Alma 10:85 And when they saw Alma and Amulek coming forth out of the prison and the walls thereof had fallen to the earth, They were struck with great fear and fled from the presence of Alma and Amulek, even as a goat fleeth with her young from two lions; And thus they did flee from the presence of Alma and Amulek.

Alma 10:102 And Alma baptized Zeezrom unto the Lord; And he began from that time forth to preach unto the people.

Alma 10:104 And it came to pass that they were many, for they did flock in from all the region round about Sidom and were baptized.

Alma 10:109 And began to assemble themselves together at their sanctuaries to worship God before the altar, Watching and praying continually that they might be delivered from Satan and from death and from destruction -

Alma 12:1 And now it came to pass that as Alma was journeying from the Land of Gideon southward, away to the Land of Manti, Behold, to his astonishment, he met the sons of Mosiah a journeying toward the Land of Zarahemla.

Alma 12:21 And it came to pass when they had arrived in the borders of the land of the Lamanites, That they separated themselves and departed one from another, trusting in the Lord that they should meet again at the close of their harvest, For they supposed that great was the work which they had undertaken.

Alma 12:27 Therefore, they separated themselves one from another and went forth among them, every man alone, according to the word and power of God which was given unto him.

Alma 12:28 Now Ammon being the chief among them, or rather he did minister unto them, And he departed from them after having blessed them according to their several stations, having imparted the word of God unto them, or administered unto them before his departure; And thus they took their several journeys throughout the land.

Alma 12:70 Now this was the tradition of Lamoni which he had received from his father, that there was a Great Spirit;

Alma 12:110 And Ammon saith: "Yea, and He looketh down upon all the children of men; And He knows all the thoughts and intents of the heart, for by His hand were they all created from the beginning."

Alma 12:111 And King Lamoni saith: "I believe all these things which thou hast spoken; Art thou sent from God?"

Alma 12:118 And he expounded unto them all the records and scriptures from the time that Lehi left Jerusalem down to the present time.

Alma 12:119 But this is not all - For he expounded unto them the plan of redemption which was prepared from the foundation of the world;

Alma 12:133 He knew that the dark veil of unbelief being cast away from his mind, And the light which did light up his mind, which was the light of the glory of God which was a marvelous light of His goodness -

Alma 12:141 And it came to pass that she watched over the bed of her husband from that time even until that time on the morrow which Ammon had appointed that he should rise.

Alma 12:153 Therefore, she ran forth from house to house, making it known unto the people; And they began to assemble themselves together unto the house of the king.

Alma 12:165 But others rebuked them all, saying that, "He was a monster which hath been sent from the Nephites to torment us";

Alma 12:169 And it came to pass that she went and took the queen by the hand, that perhaps she might raise her from the ground; And as soon as she touched her hand, she arose and stood upon her feet and cried with a loud voice, saying:

Alma 12:170 "O blessed Jesus who has saved me from an awful hell! O blessed God, have mercy on this people!"

Alma 12:173 And he immediately, seeing the contention among his people, went forth and began to rebuke them and to teach them the words which he had heard from the mouth of Ammon; And as many as heard his words believed and were converted unto the Lord;

Alma 12:203 "And again, it is expedient that thou shouldst forbear; For if thou shouldst slay thy son - he being an innocent man - his blood would cry from the ground to the Lord his God for vengeance to come upon thee, And perhaps thou wouldst lose thy soul."

Alma 12:212 "Because this is all that thou hast desired, that I would release thy brethren and suffer that my son Lamoni should retain his kingdom, Behold, I will grant unto you that my son may retain his kingdom from this time and forever; And I will govern him no more.

Alma 12:220 Therefore, they would not hearken unto their words, And they had cast them out and had smote them and had driven them from house to house and from place to place even until they had arrived to the Land of Middoni.

Alma 13:10 Now Aaron said unto him: "Believest thou that the Son of God shall come to redeem mankind from their sins?"

Alma 13:23 And it came to pass that Ammon and Lamoni returned from the Land of Middoni to the Land of Ishmael, which was the land of their inheritance;

Alma 13:26 And he did also declare unto them that they were a people which were under him and that they were a free people, that they were free from the oppressions of the king, his father, For that his father had granted unto him that he might reign over the people which were in the Land of Ishmael and in all the land round about.

Alma 13:31 For after he departed from the Land of Middoni, he was led by the Spirit to the Land of Nephi, even to the house of the king which was over all the land, save it were the Land of Ishmael; And he was the father of Lamoni.

Alma 13:44 And it came to pass that when Aaron saw that the king would believe his words, he began from the creation of Adam, reading the scriptures unto the king - How God created man after His own image, And that God gave him commandments, And that because of transgression, man had fallen.

Alma 13:45 And Aaron did expound unto him the scriptures from the creation of Adam, Laying the fall of man before him, and their carnal state, And also the plan of redemption which was prepared from the foundation of the world through Christ for all whosoever would believe on His name;

Alma 13:53 And if there is a God and if Thou art God, wilt Thou make Thyself known unto me? And I will give away all my sins to know Thee and that I may be raised from the dead and be saved at the last day!"

Alma 13:62 Therefore, he put forth his hand and raised the king from the earth and said unto him, "Stand!" And he stood upon his feet, receiving his strength;

Alma 13:68 And it came to pass that the king sent a proclamation throughout all the land, amongst all his people which were in all his land, which were in all the regions round about, Which was bordering even to the sea on the east and on the west and which was divided from the Land of Zarahemla by a narrow strip of wilderness,

Alma 13:69 Which ran from the Sea East even to the Sea West and round about on the borders of the seashore and the borders of the wilderness which was on the north by the Land of Zarahemla, Through the borders of Manti, by the head of the River Sidon, running from the east toward the west; And thus were the Lamanites and the Nephites divided.

Alma 13:73 Nevertheless, the Nephites had taken possession of all the northern parts of the land bordering on the wilderness at the head of the River Sidon, from the east to the west, round about on the wilderness sides on the north, Even until they came to the land which they called Bountiful;

Alma 13:74 And it bordered upon the land which they called Desolation, It being so far northward that it came into the land which had been peopled and had been destroyed - of whose bones we have spoken - which was discovered by the people of Zarahemla, It being the place of their first landing; And they came from there up into the South Wilderness;

Alma 13:75 Thus the land on the northward was called Desolation, And the land on the southward was called Bountiful, It being the wilderness which was filled with all manner of wild animals of every kind, a part of which had come from the Land Northward for food.

Alma 13:76 And now it was only the distance of a day and a half's journey for a Nephite on the line Bountiful and the Land Desolation, from the east to the West Sea;

Alma 13:78 And it came to pass that the Nephites had inhabited the Land Bountiful, even from the east unto the West Sea;

Alma 14:7 And now it came to pass that when the king had sent forth this proclamation, that Aaron and his brethren went forth from city to city and from one house of worship to another,

Alma 14:17 And now it came to pass that the king and those people which were converted were desirous that they might have a name, that thereby they might be distinguished from their brethren,

Alma 14:26 And from thence they came to the Land of Ishmael, that they might hold a council with Lamoni, and also with his brother Anti-Nephi-Lehi, what they should do to defend themselves against the Lamanites.

Alma 14:32 "And I also thank my God, yea, my great God, that He hath granted unto us that we might repent of these things, And also that He hath forgiven us of these our many sins and murders which we have committed, And took away the guilt from our hearts through the merits of His Son.

Alma 14:33 "And now behold, my brethren, since it has been all that we could do - as we were the most lost of all mankind - to repent of all our sins and the many murders which we have committed and to get God to take them away from our hearts - For it was all we could do to repent sufficiently before God that He would take away our stain -

Alma 14:39 "And now behold, since it has been as much as we could do to get our stains taken away from us and our swords are made bright,

Alma 14:45 And rather than to take away from a brother, they would give unto him, And rather than to spend their days in idleness, they would labor abundantly with their hands.

Alma 14:51 Now when the Lamanites saw that their brethren would not flee from the sword, neither would they turn aside to the right hand or to the left, But that they would lay down and perish and praised God, even in the very act of perishing under the sword - Now when the Lamanites saw this, they did forbear from slaying them;

Alma 14:79 And now these are the words of Ammon to his brethren, which saith thus: "My brothers and my brethren, behold I say unto you, how great reason have we to rejoice, For could we have supposed when we started from the Land of Zarahemla that God would have granted unto us such great blessings?

Alma 14:93 "Behold how many thousands of our brethren hath He loosed from the pains of hell and they are brought to sing redeeming love! And this because of the power of His word which is in us, Therefore, have we not great reason to rejoice?

Alma 14:94 "Yea, we have reason to praise Him forever! For He is the Most High God and has loosed our brethren from the chains of hell;

Alma 14:98 "Who could have supposed that our God would have been so merciful as to have snatched us from our awful sinful and polluted state?

Alma 14:107 Do ye suppose that ye can convince the Lamanites of the incorrectness of the traditions of their fathers, as stiff-necked a people as they are? Whose hearts delighteth in the shedding of blood? Whose days have been spent in the grossest iniquity? Whose ways have been the ways of a transgressor from the beginning?'

Alma 14:112 "And now behold, we have come and been forth amongst them, And we have been patient in our sufferings, And we have suffered every privation; Yea, we have traveled from house to house, relying upon the mercies of the world - not upon the mercies of the world alone, but upon the mercies of God;

Alma 14:125 "Now if this is boasting, even so will I boast, For this is my life and my light, my joy and my salvation and my redemption from everlasting wo.

Alma 14:126 "Yea, blessed is the name of my God who hath been mindful of this people which are a branch of the tree of Israel and hath been lost from its body in a strange land! Yea, I say blessed be the name of my God who hath been mindful of us wanderers in a strange land!

Alma 15:3 And when they saw that they could not seek revenge from the Nephites, they began to stir up the people in anger against their brethren, the people of Anti-Nephi-Lehi; Therefore, they began again to destroy them.

Alma 15:5 Now when Ammon and his brethren saw this work of destruction among those who they so dearly beloved and among those who had so dearly beloved them - for they were treated as though they were angels sent from God to save them from everlasting destruction -

Alma 15:14 And it came to pass that they gathered together all their people, yea, all the people of the Lord, And did gather together all their flocks and herds and departed out of the land, And came into the wilderness which divided the Land of Nephi from the Land of Zarahemla and came over near the borders of the land.

Alma 15:26 "And now behold, this will we do unto our brethren that they may inherit the Land Jershon; And we will guard them from their enemies by our armies on conditions that they will give us a portion of their substance to assist us, that we may maintain our armies."

Alma 15:37 And thus there was a tremendous battle, yea, even such an one as never had been known among all the people in the land from the time Lehi left Jerusalem; Yea, and tens of thousands of the Lamanites were slain and scattered abroad,

Alma 15:46 And from the first year to the fifteenth has brought to pass the destruction of many thousand lives, yea, it has brought to pass an awful scene of bloodshed;

Alma 15:56 Yea, and I know that good and evil hath come before all men - Or he that knoweth not good from evil is blameless, But he that knoweth good and evil, to him it is given according to his desires, Whether he desireth good or evil, life or death, joy or remorse of conscience.

Alma 15:67 Now when I think of the success of these my brethren, my soul is carried away, Even to the separation of it from the body, as it were, so great is my joy;

Alma 16:40 Now Alma saith unto him: "Thou knowest that we do not glut ourselves upon the labors of this people, For behold, I have labored, even from the commencement of the reign of the judges until now, with mine own hands for my support; Notwithstanding my many travels round about the land to declare the word of God unto my people,

Alma 16:70 Now when he had said this, he besought that Alma should pray unto God that the curse might be taken from him;

Alma 16:71 But Alma said unto him: "If this curse should be taken from thee, thou wouldst again lead away the hearts of this people, Therefore, it shall be unto thee even as the Lord will."

Alma 16:72 And it came to pass that the curse was not taken off of Korihor, But he was cast out and went about from house to house a begging for his food.

Alma 16:75 And Korihor did go about from house to house a begging food for his support.

Alma 16:76 And it came to pass that as he went forth among the people - Yea, among a people which had separated themselves from the Nephites and called themselves Zoramites, being led by a man whose name was Zoram - And as he went forth amongst them, behold, he was run upon and trodden down, even until he was dead.

Alma 16:79 For it was the cause of great sorrow to Alma to know of the iniquity among his people, Therefore, his heart was exceeding sorrowful because of the separation of the Zoramites from the Nephites.

Alma 16:85 Now the Zoramites were dissenters from the Nephites, therefore they had had the word of God preached unto them;

Alma 16:91 "Holy God, we believe that Thou hast separated us from our brethren; And we do not believe in the traditions of our brethren which was handed down to them by the childishness of their fathers, But we believe that Thou hast elected us to be Thy holy children;

Alma 16:93 "And we also thank Thee that Thou hast elected us that we may not be led away after the foolish traditions of our brethren which doth bind them down to a belief of Christ, which doth lead their hearts to wander far from Thee our God;

Alma 16:98 Now from this stand they did offer up, every man, the selfsame prayer unto God, Thanking their God that they were chosen of Him, And that He had not led them away after the tradition of their brethren, And that their hearts were not stolen away to believe in things to come which they knew nothing about.

Alma 16:118 And after that, they did separate themselves one from another, taking no thought for themselves - what they should eat or what they should drink or what they should put on;

Alma 16:139 "Yea, there are many which do say, 'If thou wilt show unto us a sign from heaven, then we shall know of a surety, then we shall believe.'

Alma 16:184 'And it is because of Thy Son that Thou hast been thus merciful unto me; Therefore, I will cry unto Thee in all mine afflictions, for in Thee is my joy, For Thou hast turned Thy judgments away from me because of Thy Son.'"

Alma 16:197 And that He shall rise again from the dead, which shall bring to pass the resurrection, That all men shall stand before Him to be judged at the last and judgment day, according to their works.

Alma 16:202 Yea, I know that these things were taught unto you bountifully before your dissension from among us, And as ye have desired of my beloved brother that he should make known unto you what ye should do because of your afflictions - And he hath spoken somewhat unto you to prepare your minds, Yea, and he hath exhorted you unto faith and to patience,

Alma 16:234 Therefore, the Spirit of the Lord hath withdrawn from you and hath no place in you, And the devil hath all power over you; And this is the final state of the wicked.

Alma 16:239 "And now my beloved brethren, I would exhort you to have patience and that ye bear with all manner of afflictions, That ye do not revile against those who do cast you out because of your exceeding poverty, lest ye become sinners like unto them, But that ye have patience and bear with those afflictions, with a firm hope that ye shall one day rest from all your afflictions."

Alma 16:240 Now it came to pass that after Amulek had made an end of these words, They withdrew themselves from the multitude and came over into the Land of Jershon;

Alma 16:247 Now the people of the Zoramites were angry with the people of Ammon which were in Jershon; And the chief ruler of the Zoramites, being a very wicked man, sent over unto the people of Ammon desiring them that they should cast out of their land all those which came over from them into their land,

Alma 17:22 Yea, and from that time even until now, I have labored without ceasing that I might bring souls unto repentance, That I might bring them to taste of the exceeding joy of which I did taste, That they might also be born of God and be filled with the Holy Ghost.

Alma 17:25 And I have been supported under trials and troubles of every kind, yea, and in all manner of afflictions, Yea, God hath delivered me from prisons and from bonds and from death, Yea, and I do put my trust in Him and He will still deliver me;

Alma 17:27 Yea, and He hath delivered them out of bondage and captivity from time to time, Yea, and He hath also brought our fathers out of the Land of Jerusalem, And He hath also, by His everlasting power, delivered them out of bondage and captivity from time to time, even down to the present day;

Alma 17:30 And ye had ought to know also that inasmuch as ye will not keep the commandments of God, ye shall be cut off from His presence; Now this is according to His word.

Alma 17:32 And these plates of brass which contain these engravings, which have the records of the holy scriptures upon them, which have the genealogy of our forefathers, even from the beginning;

Alma 17:33 And behold, it hath been prophesied by our fathers that they should be kept and handed down from one generation to another and be kept and preserved by the hand of the Lord, Until they shall go forth unto every nation, kindred, tongue and people, that they shall know of the mysteries contained thereon.

Alma 17:44 And He saith, "If ye will keep My commandments, ye shall prosper in the land, " But if ye keep not His commandments, ye shall be cut off from His presence.

Alma 17:46 And now behold, I tell you by the spirit of prophecy that if ye trangress the commandments of God, Behold, these things which are sacred shall be taken away from you by the power of God, And ye shall be delivered up unto Satan that he may sift you as chaff before the wind;

Alma 17:47 But if ye keep the commandments of God and do with these things which are sacred, according to that which the Lord doth command you - for you must appeal unto the Lord for all things whatsoever ye must do with them - Behold, no power of earth or hell can take them from you; For God is powerful to the fulfilling of all His words,

Alma 17:54 For, behold, the Lord saw that His people began to work in darkness, yea, work secret murders and abominations; Therefore, the Lord said if they did not repent, they should be destroyed from off the face of the earth.

Alma 17:57 And, except they repent, I will destroy them from off the face of the earth; And I will bring to light all their secrets and abominations unto every nation that shall hereafter possess the land."

Alma 17:59 And now my son, I command you that ye retain all their oaths and their covenants and their agreements in their secret abominations; Yea, and all their signs and their wonders ye shall retain from this people, that they know them not, Lest peradventure they should fall into darkness also and be destroyed;

Alma 17:61 Therefore, ye shall keep these secret plans of their oaths and their covenants from this people, And only their wickedness and their murders and their abominations shall ye make known unto them,

Alma 18:1 My son, give ear to my words, For I say unto you, even as I said unto Helaman, that inasmuch as ye shall keep the commandments of God, ye shall prosper in the land, And inasmuch as ye will not keep the commandments of God, ye shall be cut off from His presence.

Alma 18:15 And also see that ye bridle all your passions, That ye may be filled with love, See that ye refrain from idleness. Do not pray as the Zoramites do, For ye have seen that they pray to be heard of men and to be praised for their wisdom -

Alma 19:12 But behold, ye cannot hide your crimes from God, And except ye repent, they will stand as a testimony against you at the last day.

Alma 19:19 Therefore, I command you, my son, in the fear of God, that ye refrain from your iniquities, That ye turn to the Lord with all your mind, might and strength, That ye lead away the hearts of no more to do wickedly;

Alma 19:33 Behold, there is a time appointed that all shall come forth from the dead,

Alma 19:35 Now whether there shall be one time or a second time or a third time that men shall come forth from the dead, it mattereth not, For God knoweth all these things; And it sufficeth me to know that this is the case, that there is a time appointed that all shall rise from the dead.

Alma 19:37 And now I would inquire, what becometh of the souls of men from this time of death to the time appointed for the resurrection?

Alma 19:39 Therefore, there is a time appointed unto men that they shall rise from the dead, And there is a space between the time of death and the resurrection.

Alma 19:43 Behold, it hath been made known unto me by an angel that the spirits of all men, as soon as they are departed from this mortal body, Yea, the spirits of all men, whether they be good or evil, are taken home to that God who gave them life.

Alma 19:44 And then shall it come to pass that the spirits of those which are righteous are received into a state of happiness which is called paradise - a state of rest, a state of peace - Where they shall rest from all their troubles and from all care and sorrow, etc.

Alma 19:50 And behold, again it hath been spoken that there is a first resurrection - A resurrection of all those which have been, or which are, or which shall be, down to the resurrection of Christ from the dead.

Alma 19:52 Behold, I say unto you, Nay, But it meaneth the reuniting of the soul with the body of those from the days of Adam down to the resurrection of Christ.

Alma 19:70 These are they that are redeemed of the Lord, Yea, these are they that are taken out, that are delivered from that endless night of darkness. And thus they stand or fall, For behold, they are their own judges, whether to do good or do evil.

Alma 19:73 Do not suppose because it hath been spoken concerning restoration that ye shall be restored from sin to happiness;

Alma 19:82 Now behold, my son, I will explain this thing unto thee. For behold, after the Lord God sent our first parents forth from the garden of Eden to till the ground, from whence he was taken, Yea, He drove out the man and He placed at the east end of the garden of Eden cherubim and flaming sword which turned every way to keep the tree of life -

Alma 19:87 But behold, it was appointed unto man to die; Therefore, as they were cut off from the tree of life, Therefore, they should be cut off from the face of the earth and man became lost forever; Yea, they became fallen man.

Alma 19:88 And now we see by this that our first parents were cut off, both temporally and spiritually, from the presence of the Lord, And thus we see they became subjects to follow after their own will.

Alma 19:89 Now behold, it was not expedient that man should be reclaimed from this temporal death, For that would destroy the great plan of happiness;

Alma 19:90 Therefore, as the soul could never die, And the fall had brought upon all mankind a spiritual death as well as a temporal - That is, they were cut off from the presence of the Lord - Therefore, it was expedient that mankind should be reclaimed from this spiritual death;

Alma 19:92 And now remember, my son, if it were not for the plan of redemption - laying it aside - As soon as they were dead, their souls were miserable, being cut off from the presence of the Lord.

Alma 19:93 And now, there was no means to reclaim men from this fallen state which man had brought upon himself because of his own disobedience;

Alma 19:96 And thus we see that all mankind were fallen; And they were in the grasp of justice, yea, the justice of God which consigned them forever to be cut off from His presence.

Alma 19:108 And thus God bringeth about His great and eternal purposes which were prepared from the foundation of the world.

Alma 20:9 And now the design of the Nephites was to support their lands and their houses and their wives and their children, That they might preserve them from the hands of their enemies, And also that they might preserve their rights and their privileges,

Alma 20:15 And thus the Nephites were compelled, alone, to withstand against the Lamanites which were a compound of Laman and Lemuel and the sons of Ishmael, And all those which had dissented from the Nephites, which were Amalekites and Zoramites, And the descendants of the priests of Noah;

Alma 20:41 They being shielded from the more vital parts of the body - or the more vital parts of the body being shielded from the strokes of the Lamanites by their breastplates and their armshields and their headplates; And thus the Nephites did carry on the work of death among the Lamanites.

Alma 20:47 Now in this case the Lamanites did fight exceedingly, Yea, never had the Lamanites been known to have fought with such exceeding great strength and courage - No, not even from the beginning;

Alma 20:53 And it came to pass that when the men of Moroni saw the fierceness and the anger of the Lamanites, they were about to shrink and flee from them;

Alma 20:54 And Moroni, perceiving their intent, sent forth and inspired their hearts with these thoughts - yea, the thoughts of their lands, their liberty, yea, their freedom from bondage.

Alma 20:55 And it came to pass that they turned upon the Lamanites, And they cried with one voice unto the Lord their God for their liberty and their freedom from bondage;

Alma 20:61 And it came to pass that they did stop and withdrew a pace from them;

Alma 20:76 "Behold, we are not of your faith; We do not believe that it is God that hath delivered us into your hands, But we believe it is your cunning that hath preserved you from our swords;

Alma 20:83 And Zerahemnah withdrew from before them into the midst of his soldiers.

Alma 20:84 And it came to pass that the soldier which stood by, which smote off the scalp of Zerahemnah, took up the scalp from off the ground by the hair and laid it upon the point of his sword and stretched it forth unto them, saying unto them with a loud voice - saying:

Alma 20:95 And it came to pass that he took the weapons of war from the Lamanites; And after they had entered into a covenant with him of peace, they were suffered to depart into the wilderness.

Alma 21:9 And these are the words: "Behold, I perceive that this very people, the Nephites, according to the spirit of revelation which is in me, In four hundred years from the time that Jesus Christ shall manifest Himself unto them, shall dwindle in unbelief.

Alma 21:12 "Yea, I say unto you that because they shall sin against so great light and knowledge, Yea, I say unto you that from that day, even the fourth generation shall not all pass away before this great iniquity shall come.

Alma 21:19 And now when Alma had said these words, he blessed the church, Yea, all those which should stand fast in the faith from that time henceforth.

Alma 21:35 And there were many in the church which believed in the flattering words of Amalickiah, Therefore they dissented, even from the church.

Alma 21:60 And now, who knoweth but what the remnant of the seed of Joseph which shall perish as his garment are those which have dissented from us, Yea, and even it shall be us, if we do not stand fast in the faith of Christ."

Alma 21:92 And it came to pass that when Amalickiah found that he could not get Lehonti to come down off from the mount, he went up into the mount, nearly to Lehonti's camp; And he sent again the fourth time his message unto Lehonti, desiring that he would come down and that he would bring his guards with him.

Alma 21:105 And it came to pass that the king put forth his hand to raise them, As was the custom with the Lamanites and a token of peace, which custom they had taken from the Nephites.

Alma 21:106 And it came to pass that when he had raised the first from the ground, Behold, he stabbed the king to the heart and he fell to the earth.

Alma 21:120 Yea, he was acknowledged king throughout all the land, among all the people of the Lamanites, Which were composed of the Lamanites and the Lemuelites and the Ishmaelites and all the dissenters of the Nephites, from the reign of Nephi down to the present time.

Alma 21:123 And now it came to pass that as soon as Amalickiah had obtained the kingdom, he began to inspire the hearts of the Lamanites against the people of Nephi, Yea, he did appoint men to speak unto the Lamanites from their towers against the Nephites.

Alma 21:132 And Moroni was a strong and a mighty man - He was a man of a perfect understanding, Yea, a man that did not delight in bloodshed, A man whose soul did joy in the liberty and the freedom of his country and his brethren from bondage and slavery,

Alma 21:143 And thus they went forth; And the people did humble themselves because of their words, insomuch that they were highly favored of the Lord. And thus they were free from wars and contentions among themselves, yea, even for the space of four years.

Alma 21:147 Nevertheless, they could not suffer to lay down their lives, that their wives and their children should be massacred by the barbarous cruelty of those who were once their brethren, Yea, and had dissented from their church, And had left them and had gone to destroy them by joining the Lamanites;

Alma 21:150 And behold, the city had been rebuilt; And Moroni had stationed an army by the borders of the city, And they had cast up dirt round about to shield them from the arrows and the stones of the Lamanites, For behold, they fought with stones and with arrows.

Alma 21:174 But behold, they were driven back, from time to time, insomuch that they were slain with an immense slaughter.

Alma 21:184 And it came to pass that on the other hand, the people of Nephi did thank the Lord their God because of His miraculous power in delivering them from the hands of their enemies.

Alma 22:5 And they were prepared that they could cast stones from the top thereof, according to their pleasure and their strength, And slay him which should attempt to approach near the walls of the city.

Alma 22:8 And the Land of Nephi did run in a straight course from the East Sea to the west.

Alma 22:10 And he also placed armies on the south in the borders of their possessions, And caused them to erect fortifications, that they might secure their armies and their people from the hands of their enemies.

Alma 22:11 And thus he cut off all the strongholds of the Lamanites in the East Wilderness, yea, and also on the west, Fortifying the line between the Nephites and the Lamanites, between the Land of Zarahemla and the Land of Nephi, from the West Sea running by the head of the River Sidon,

Alma 22:13 Thus Moroni with his armies, which did increase daily because of the assurance of protection which his works did bring forth unto them, Therefore, they did seek to cut off the strength and the power of the Lamanites from off the lands of their possessions, That they should have no power upon the lands of their possessions.

Alma 22:21 But remember, inasmuch as they will not keep My commandments, They shall be cut off from the presence of the Lord."

Alma 23:5 And it came to pass that those who were desirous that Pahoron should be dethroned from the judgment seat were called Kingmen, For they were desirous that the law should be altered in a manner to overthrow the free government and to establish a king over the land;

Alma 23:10 But behold, this was a critical time for such contentions to be among the people of Nephi; For behold, Amalickiah had again stirred up the hearts of the people of the Lamanites against the people of the Nephites; And he was gathering together soldiers from all parts of his land and arming them and preparing for war with all diligence, For he had sworn to drink the blood of Moroni.

Alma 23:26 But they were brought down to humble themselves, like unto their brethren, and to fight valiantly for their freedom from bondage.

Alma 24:34 And thus Moroni had obtained a possession of the City Mulek with a part of his army, while he marched with the remainder to meet the Lamanites when they should return from the pursuit of Teancum.

Alma 24:48 But behold, there were many that would not; And those who would not deliver up their swords were taken and bound and their weapons of war were taken from them, And they were compelled to march with their brethren forth into the Land Bountiful;

Alma 24:60 And it came to pass that he did no more attempt a battle with the Lamanites in that year; But he did employ his men in preparing for war, Yea, and in making fortifications to guard against the Lamanites, Yea, and also delivering their women and their children from famine and affliction, And providing food for their armies.

Alma 24:64 And they had been brought down into the Land of Zarahemla and had ever since been protected by the Nephites; And because of their oath, they had been kept from taking up arms against their brethren,

Alma 24:73 Yea, even they covenanted that they never would give up their liberty, but they would fight in all cases to protect the Nephites and themselves from bondage.

Alma 25:4 Therefore, Moroni resolved upon a stratagem to obtain as many prisoners of the Nephites from the Lamanites as it were possible; Therefore, he wrote an epistle and sent it by the servant of Ammaron, the same who had brought an epistle to Moroni.

Alma 25:12 "And behold, if ye do not this, I will come against you with my armies, Yea, even I will arm my women and my children and I will come against you; And I will follow you even into your own land, which is the land of our first inheritance; Yea, and it shall be blood for blood, yea, life for life; And I will give you battle, even until you are destroyed from off the face of the earth.

Alma 25:35 But he saith unto them: "Fear not - Behold, I am a Lamanite; Behold, we have escaped from the Nephites and they sleepeth; And behold, we have taken of their wine and brought with us."

Alma 25:44 But behold, this was not the desire of Moroni; He did not delight in murder or bloodshed, But he delighted in the saving of his people from destruction; And for this cause he might not bring upon him injustice, he would not fall upon the Lamanites and destroy them in their drunkenness.

Alma 25:46 And then he caused the men which were with him to withdraw a pace from them and surround the armies of the Lamanites;

Alma 26:1 And now it came to pass in the commencement of the thirtieth year of the reign of the judges, in the second day on the first month, Moroni received an epistle from Helaman stating the affairs of the people in that quarter of the land.

Alma 26:30 "And now it came to pass in the second month of this year, there was brought unto us many provisions from the fathers of those my two thousand sons;

Alma 26:31 And also there were sent unto us two thousand men from the Land of Zarahemla;

Alma 26:68 "And as we had no place for our prisoners that we could guard them to keep them from the armies of the Lamanites, Therefore, we sent them to the Land of Zarahemla - and a part of those men which were not slain of Antipus with them -

Alma 26:70 "And now it came to pass that I received an epistle from Ammaron, the king, Stating that if I would deliver up those prisoners of war which we had taken, that he would deliver up the City of Antiparah.

Alma 26:75 "And it came to pass that in the commencement of the twenty and ninth year, We received a supply of provisions, and also an addition to our army, from the Land of Zarahemla and from the land round about, To the number of six thousand men, besides sixty of the sons of the Ammonites which had come to join their brethren, my little band of two thousand.

Alma 26:82 And notwithstanding the Lamanites being cut off from their support, after this manner, they were still determined to maintain the city;

Alma 26:88 And also our provisions were not any more than sufficient for our own people, Notwithstanding that which we had taken from the Lamanites.

Alma 26:91 And now behold, we did not inquire of them concerning the prisoners, For behold, the Lamanites were upon us, And they returned in season to save us from falling into their hands;

Alma 26:99 "And it came to pass that after the Lamanites had fled, I immediately gave orders that my men which had been wounded should be taken from among the dead and caused that their wounds should be dressed.

Alma 26:112 'And it came to pass that they did, in a body, run upon our swords, in the which the greater number of them were slain, And the remainder of them broke through and fled from us.

Alma 26:119 For behold, they remembered that which we had hitherto done; Therefore, we could not decoy them away from their strongholds;

Alma 26:122 Therefore, it became expedient that we should wait, that we might receive more strength from the Land of Zarahemla, and also a new supply of provisions.

Alma 26:124 "And it came to pass that we did wait to receive provisions and strength from the Land of Zarahemla;

Alma 26:125 But behold, this did not profit us but little, For the Lamanites were also receiving great strength from day to day, and also many provisions. "And thus were our circumstances at this period of time.

Alma 26:126 "And the Lamanites were sallying forth against us from time to time, resolving by stratagem to destroy us; Nevertheless, we could not come to battle with them, because of their retreats and their strongholds.

Alma 26:129 And this is all the assistance which we did receive, to defend ourselves and our country from falling into the hands of our enemies, yea, to contend with an enemy which was innumerable.

Alma 26:136 "And it came to pass that when they saw that we were not strong, according to our numbers, And fearing that we should cut them off from their support, except they should come out to battle against us and kill us,

Alma 26:144 "And it came to pass that when the Lamanites had passed by, or when the army had passed by, Gid and Teomner did rise up from their secret places and did cut off the spies of the Lamanites, that they should not return to the city.

Alma 26:165 "And those sons of the people of Ammon, of which I have so highly spoken, are with me in the City of Manti; And the Lord hath supported them, yea, and kept them from falling by the sword, insomuch that even one soul hath not been slain.

Alma 26:167 And they are strict to remember the Lord their God from day to day; Yea, they do observe to keep His statutes and His judgments and His commandments continually; And their faith is strong in the prophecies concerning that which is to come.

Alma 26:169 Yea, and that He may favor this people, Even that ye may have success in obtaining the possession of all that which the Lamanites hath taken from us, which was for our support.

Alma 27:4 And it came to pass when Moroni had sent this epistle to the Land of Zarahemla, He began again to lay a plan that he might obtain the remainder of those possessions and cities which the Lamanites had taken from them.

Alma 27:5 And it came to pass that while Moroni was thus making preparations to go against the Lamanites to battle, Behold, the people of Nephihah which were gathered together from the City of Moroni and the City of Lehi and the City of Morionton were attacked by the Lamanites.

Alma 27:6 Yea, even those which had been compelled to flee from the Land of Manti and from the land round about had come over and joined the Lamanites in this part of the land;

Alma 27:7 And thus being exceeding numerous, yea, and receiving strength from day to day, By the command of Ammaron they came forth against the people of Nephihah, And they did begin to slay them with an exceeding great slaughter.

Alma 27:9 And now as Moroni had supposed that there should be men sent to the City of Nephihah to the assistance of the people to maintain that city, And knowing that it was easier to keep the city from falling into the hands of the Lamanites than to retake it from them, He supposed that they would easily maintain that city;

Alma 27:22 "Yea, ye might have sent armies unto them to have strengthened them and have saved thousands of them from falling by the sword!

Alma 27:23 "But behold, this is not all - Ye have withheld your provisions from them, Insomuch that many have fought and bled out their lives because of their great desires which they had for the welfare of this people;

Alma 27:49 "Behold, I wait for assistance from you; And except ye do administer unto our relief, Behold, I come unto you - even into the Land of Zarahemla - and smite you with the sword, Insomuch that ye can have no more power to impede the progress of this people in the cause of our freedom;

Alma 27:52 Yea, and it hath been redoubled by those which have dissented from us, While your iniquity is for the cause of your love of glory and the vain things of the world.

Alma 28:1 Behold, now it came to pass that soon after Moroni had sent his epistle unto the chief governor, He received an epistle from Pahoron, the chief governor.

Alma 28:4 And it is those who have sought to take away the judgment seat from me that have been the cause of this great iniquity;

Alma 29:2 But he did also mourn exceedingly because of the iniquity of those who had driven Pahoron from the judgment seat; Yea, in fine, because of those who had rebelled against their country, and also their God.

Alma 29:25 And now Moroni returned to his army and caused that they should prepare in haste strong cords and ladders to be let down from the top of the wall into the inner part of the wall.

Alma 29:33 And thus were the Nephites relieved from a great burden, Yea, insomuch that they were relieved from all the prisoners of the Lamanites.

Alma 29:34 Now it came to pass that Moroni - After he had obtained possession of the City of Nephihah, Having taken many prisoners, which did reduce the armies of the Lamanites exceedingly, And having retained many of the Nephites which had been taken prisoners, which did strengthen the army of Moroni exceedingly - Therefore, Moroni went forth from the Land of Nephihah to the Land of Lehi.

Alma 29:36 And it came to pass that Moroni and his army did pursue them from city to city, until they were met by Lehi and Teancum; And the Lamanites fled from Lehi and Teancum, even down upon the borders by the seashore, until they came to the Land of Moroni.

Alma 29:43 And he went forth with a cord from place to place, insomuch that he did find the king; And he did cast a javelin at him, which did pierce him near the heart;

Alma 29:60 Yea, they did remember how great things the Lord had done for them - That He had delivered them from death, and from bonds and from prisons, and from all manner of afflictions; And He had delivered them out of the hands of their enemies -

Alma 30:17 Nevertheless, these things were to be kept sacred and handed down from one generation to another; Therefore, in this year they had been conferred upon Helaman before the death of Shiblon.

Helaman 1:16 And they were led by a man whose name was Coriantumr, And he was a descendant of Zarahemla, And he was a dissenter from among the Nephites, And he was a large and a mighty man.

Helaman 1:52 Behold, I do not mean the end of the book of Helaman, But I mean the end of the book of Nephi from which I have taken all the account which I have written.

Helaman 2:8 And it came to pass that they did multiply and spread, And did go forth from the Land Southward to the Land Northward, And did spread insomuch that they began to cover the face of the whole earth - from the sea south to the sea north, from the sea west to the sea east.

Helaman 2:14 But behold, there are many books and many records of every kind, And they have been kept chiefly by the Nephites; And they have been handed down from one generation to another by the Nephites, even until they have fallen into transgression, And have been murdered, plundered and hunted, And driven forth and slain and scattered upon the face of the earth, And mixed with the Lamanites until they are no more called the Nephites, becoming wicked and wild and ferocious, Yea, even becoming Lamanites.

Helaman 2:32 And it came to pass that the fifty and second year ended in peace also, Save it were the exceeding great pride which had got into the hearts of the people; And it was because of their exceeding great riches and their prosperity in the land; And it did grow upon them from day to day.

Helaman 2:37 But it came to pass in the fifty and sixth year of the reign of the judges, there were dissenters which went up from the Nephites unto the Lamanites; And they succeeded with those others in stirring them up to anger against the Nephites; And they were all that year preparing for war.

Helaman 2:39 And the Nephites and the armies of Moronihah were driven even into the Land of Bountiful; And there they did fortify against the Lamanites from the West Sea even unto the east - It being a day's journey for a Nephite on the line which they had fortified - And stationed their armies to defend their North Country.

Helaman 2:45 And it was because of the pride of their hearts, because of their exceeding riches; Yea, it was because of their oppression to the poor - withholding their food from the hungry, withholding their clothing from the naked - And smiting their humble brethren upon the cheek, Making a mock of that which was sacred, Denying the spirit of prophecy and of revelation, Murdering, plundering, lying, stealing, committing adultery, raising up in great contentions, And dissenting away into the Land of Nephi, among the Lamanites

Helaman 2:50 For when Moronihah saw that they did repent, he did venture to lead them forth from place to place and from city to city, Even until they had retained the one half of their property and the one half of all their lands.

Helaman 2:59 And they saw they had become weak like unto their brethren the Lamanites, And that the Spirit of the Lord did no more preserve them, Yea, it had withdrawn from them because the Spirit of the Lord doth not dwell in unholy temples;

Helaman 2:72 "And remember also the words which Amulek spake unto Zeezrom in the City of Ammonihah; For he said unto him that the Lord surely should come to redeem His people; But that He should not come to redeem them in their sins, But to redeem them from their sins;

Helaman 2:73 And He hath power given unto Him from the Father to redeem them from their sins because of repentance; Therefore, He hath sent His angels to declare the tidings of the conditions of repentance, Which bringeth unto the power of the Redeemer, unto the salvation of their souls.

Helaman 2:77 And they did remember his words; And therefore, they went forth - keeping the commandments of God - to teach the word of God among all the people of Nephi, Beginning at the City Bountiful, and from thenceforth to the City of Gid, and from the City of Gid to the City of Mulek;

Helaman 2:78 And even from one city to another until they had gone forth among all the people of Nephi which were in the Land Southward; And from thence into the Land of Zarahemla, among the Lamanites.

Helaman 2:79 And it came to pass that they did preach with great power, Insomuch that they did confound many of those dissenters which had gone over from the Nephites, Insomuch that they came forth and did confess their sins and were baptized unto repentance, And immediately returned to the Nephites to endeavor to repair unto them the wrongs which they had done.

Helaman 2:82 And it came to pass that Nephi and Lehi did proceed from thence to go to the Land of Nephi.

Helaman 2:99 Now there was one among them who was a Nephite by birth who had once belonged to the church of God but had dissented from them;

Helaman 2:106 And it came to pass that the Lamanites said unto him: "What shall we do that this cloud of darkness may be removed from overshadowing us?"

Helaman 2:107 And Aminadab saith unto them: "You must repent and cry unto the voice, even until ye shall have faith in Christ, which was taught unto you by Alma and Amulek and by Zeezrom; And when ye shall do this, the cloud of darkness shall be removed from overshadowing you."

Helaman 2:109 And it came to pass that when they cast their eyes about and saw that the cloud of darkness was dispersed from overshadowing them, And behold, they saw that they were encircled about, yea, every soul, by a pillar of fire;

Helaman 2:111 And behold, the Holy Spirit of God did come down from heaven and did enter into their hearts, And they were filled as if with fire; And they could speak forth marvelous words.

Helaman 2:112 And it came to pass that there came a voice unto them, yea, a pleasant voice, as if it were a whisper, saying: "Peace, peace be unto you because of your faith in My Well-Beloved which was from the foundation of the world."

Helaman 2:113 And now when they heard this, they cast up their eyes as if to behold from whence the voice came; And behold, they saw the heavens open, And angels came down out of heaven and ministered unto them;

Helaman 2:150 Now behold, those secret oaths and covenants did not come forth unto Gaddianton from the records which were delivered unto Helaman;

Helaman 2:152 And he did plot with Cain and his followers from that time forth.

Helaman 2:154 And it was that same being which led on the people which came from that Tower into this land, Which spread the works of darkness and abominations over all the face of the land, until he dragged the people down to an entire destruction and to an everlasting hell.

Helaman 2:155 Yea, it is that same being who put it into the heart of Gaddianton to still carry on the work of darkness and of secret murder; And he hath brought it forth from the beginning of man, even down to this time.

Helaman 2:156 And behold, it is he which is the author of all sin; And behold, he doth carry on his works of darkness and secret murder, And doth hand down their plots and their oaths and their covenants and their plans of awful wickedness from generation to generation, According as he can get hold upon the hearts of the children of men.

Helaman 2:162 And thus we see that the Spirit of the Lord began to withdraw from the Nephites because of the wickedness and the hardness of their hearts.

Helaman 2:164 And it came to pass that the Lamanites did hunt the band of robbers of Gaddianton; And they did preach the word of God among the more wicked part of them, Insomuch that this band of robbers was utterly destroyed from among the Lamanites.

Helaman 3:1 Behold, now it came to pass in the sixty and ninth year of the reign of the judges over the people of the Nephites that Nephi, the son of Helaman, returned to the Land of Zarahemla from the Land Northward; For he had been forth among the people which were in the Land Northward, And did preach the word of God unto them, And did prophesy many things unto them;

Helaman 3:30 And except ye repent, ye shall perish! Yea, even your lands shall be taken from you and ye shall be destroyed from off the face of the earth.

Helaman 3:37 For behold, he doth condemn all this people, even unto destruction, Yea, and also that these our great cities shall be taken from us, that we shall have no place in them;

Helaman 3:49 "And now behold, Moses did not only testify of these things, but also all the holy prophets, From his day even to the days of Abraham -

Helaman 3:75 And now behold, the people knew nothing concerning the multitude which had gathered together at the garden of Nephi; Therefore, they said among themselves: "These men are they which have murdered the judge, And God hath smitten them, that they could not flee from us."

Helaman 3:83 And behold, the judges inquired of them to know concerning the matter, And they told them all that they had done, saying: "We ran and came to the place of the judgment seat; And when we saw all things, even as Nephi had testified, We were astonished, insomuch that we fell to the earth; And when we were recovered from our astonishment, Behold, they cast us into prison.

Helaman 3:101 "And when ye have seen this, ye shall say: 'From whence cometh this blood? Do we not know that it is the blood of your brother?' "And then shall he tremble and shall look pale, even as if death had come upon him.

Helaman 3:105 And then shall ye know that I am an honest man and that I am sent unto you from God."

Helaman 3:130 And it came to pass that thus he did go forth in the Spirit from multitude to multitude, declaring the word of God, Even until he had declared it unto them all, or sent it forth among all the people.

Helaman 4:10 And the people began to plead with their chief judges and their leaders, that they would say unto Nephi: "Behold, we know that thou art a man of God; And therefore, cry unto the Lord our God that He turn away from us this famine, lest all the words which thou hast spoken concerning our destruction be fulfilled."

Helaman 4:13 And they have swept away the band of Gaddianton from amongst them, Insomuch that they have become extinct and they have concealed their secret plans in the earth.

Helaman 4:20 And it came to pass that in the seventy and sixth year, the Lord did turn away His anger from the people and caused that rain should fall upon the earth, Insomuch that it did bring forth her fruit in the season of her fruit.

Helaman 4:22 And behold, the people did rejoice and glorify God, And the whole face of the land was filled with rejoicing; And they did no more seek to destroy Nephi, But they did esteem him as a great prophet and a man of God, having great power and authority given unto him from God;

Helaman 4:24 And thus it did come to pass that the people of Nephi began to prosper again in the land, And began to build up their waste places, And began to multiply and spread, Even until they did cover the whole face of the land - both on the northward and on the southward, from the Sea West to the Sea East.

Helaman 4:30 And it came to pass that in the eightieth year of the reign of the judges over the people of Nephi, There were a certain number of the dissenters from the people of Nephi which had some years before gone over unto the Lamanites and took upon themselves the name of Lamanites,

Helaman 4:66 And if the Lord shall say, "Be thou accursed! that no man shall find thee from this time henceforth and forever" - And behold, no man getteth it henceforth and forever.

Helaman 4:68 And if the Lord shall say, "Because of thine iniquities, thou shalt be cut off from My presence!" - And He will cause that it shall be so.

Helaman 4:72 And I would that all men might be saved; But we read that in that great and last day there are some which shall be cast out, Yea, which shall be cast off from the presence of the Lord,

Helaman 5:10 "Therefore, thus saith the Lord: 'Because of the hardness of the hearts of the people of the Nephites, except they repent I will take away My word from them, And I will withdraw My Spirit from them, And I will suffer them no longer, And I will turn the hearts of their brethren against them.

Helaman 5:18 'But behold, the time cometh, ' saith the Lord, 'that when ye shall cast out the righteous from among you, Then shall ye be ripe for destruction;

Helaman 5:45 "Yea, in that day shall ye say: 'O that we had remembered the Lord our God in the day that He gave us our riches! And then they would not have become slippery, that we should lose them. 'For behold, our riches are gone from us-

Helaman 5:46 Behold, we layeth a tool here and on the morrow it is gone; And behold, our swords are taken from us in the day we have sought them for battle;

Helaman 5:47 Yea, we have hid up our treasures and they have slipped away from us because of the curse of the land.

Helaman 5:50 Behold, our iniquities are great! O Lord, canst Thou not turn away Thine anger from us?' "And this shall be your language in those days.

Helaman 5:53 "O ye people of the land, that ye would hear my words! And I pray that the anger of the Lord be turned away from you! And that ye would repent and be saved!"

Helaman 5:64 "And now because I am a Lamanite and hath spoken unto you the words which the Lord hath commanded me, And because it was hard against you, Ye are angry with me and do seek to destroy me and have cast me out from among you.

Helaman 5:66 And also that ye might know of the coming of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Father of heaven and of earth, the Creator of all things from the beginning; And that ye might know of the signs of His coming, to the intent that ye might believe on His name;

Helaman 5:70 Yea, behold, this death bringeth to pass the resurrection and redeemeth all mankind from the first death - that spiritual death, For all mankind - by the fall of Adam, being cut off from the presence of the Lord - are considered as dead, both as to things temporal and to things spiritual.

Helaman 5:76 And there shall be no light upon the face of the land, even from the time that He shall suffer death, for the space of three days, to the time that He shall rise again from the dead.

Helaman 5:86 He hath given unto you that ye might know good from evil, And He hath given unto you that ye might choose life or death; And ye can do good and be restored unto that which is good, Or have that which is good restored unto you; Or ye can do evil and have that which is evil restored unto you.

Helaman 5:119 And as they went forth to lay their hands on him, Behold, he did cast himself down from the wall and did flee out of their hands, yea, even unto his own country, And began to preach and to prophesy among his own people;

3 Nephi 1:1 Now it came to pass that the ninety and first year had passed away, And it was six hundred years from the time that Lehi left Jerusalem; And it was in the year that Lachoneus was the chief judge and the governor over the land;

3 Nephi 1:2 And Nephi, the son of Helaman, had departed out of the Land of Zarahemla, giving charge unto his son Nephi, which was his eldest son, concerning the plates of brass and all the records which had been kept, And all those things which had been kept sacred from the departure of Lehi out of Jerusalem;

3 Nephi 1:14 "Behold, I come unto My own to fulfill all things which I have made known unto the children of men from the foundation of the world, And to do the will both of the Father and of the Son - of the Father because of Me, and of the Son because of My flesh.

3 Nephi 1:19 Yea, and in fine, all the people upon the face of the whole earth - from the west to the east, both in the Land North and in the Land South - were so exceedingly astonished that they fell to the earth,

3 Nephi 1:25 And it came to pass from this time forth there began to be lyings sent forth among the people by Satan to harden their hearts, to the intent that they might not believe in those signs and wonders which they had seen;

3 Nephi 1:38 And it came to pass that thus passed away the ninety and fifth year also, And the people began to forget those signs and wonders which they had heard, And began to be less and less astonished at a sign or a wonder from heaven,

3 Nephi 1:44 And six hundred and nine years had passed away since Lehi left Jerusalem; And nine years had passed away from the time which the sign was given, which was spoken of by the prophets that Christ should come into the world.

3 Nephi 1:45 Now the Nephites began to reckon their time from this period which the sign was given, or from the coming of Christ;

3 Nephi 1:52 And it came to pass that those Lamanites which had united with the Nephites were numbered among the Nephites; And their curse was taken from them, And their skin became white like unto the Nephites,

3 Nephi 2:1 And now it came to pass that in the sixteenth year from the coming of Christ, Lachoneus, the governor of the land, received an epistle from the leader and the governor of this band of robbers.

3 Nephi 2:12 And I write this epistle unto you, Lachoneus, And I hope that ye will deliver up your lands and your possessions without the shedding of blood, That this my people may recover their rights and government which have dissented away from you because of your wickedness in retaining from them their rights of government; And except ye do this, I will avenge their wrongs; I am Giddianhi."

3 Nephi 2:19 And he caused that there should be armies - both of the Nephites and of the Lamanites, or of all them which were numbered among the Nephites - should be placed as guards round about to watch them and to guard them from the robbers day and night.

3 Nephi 2:39 And it came to pass that in the latter end of the eighteenth year, those armies of robbers had prepared for battle and began to come down and to sally forth from the hills and out of the mountains and the wilderness and their strongholds and their secret places,

3 Nephi 2:45 In the which time they did hope to destroy the robbers from off the face of the land. And thus the eighteenth year did pass away.

3 Nephi 2:57 And notwithstanding the threatenings and the oaths which Giddianhi had made, Behold, the Nephites did beat them, insomuch that they did fall back from before them.

3 Nephi 2:64 For they did suppose that if they should cut off the people of Nephi from their lands and should hem them in on every side, And if they should cut them off from all their outward privileges, That they could cause them to yield themselves according to their wishes.

3 Nephi 2:70 And thus it became the desire of the people of Zemnarihah to withdraw from their design because of the great destruction which came upon them by night and by day.

3 Nephi 2:71 And it came to pass that Zemnarihah did give command unto his people that they should withdraw themselves from the siege and to march into the farthermost parts of the Land Northward.

3 Nephi 2:78 And it came to pass that they did break forth - all as one - in singing and praising their God for the great thing which He had done for them in preserving them from falling into the hands of their enemies;

3 Nephi 2:81 And they knew it was because of their repentance and their humility that they had been delivered from an everlasting destruction.

3 Nephi 2:99 Yea, a small record of that which hath taken place from the time that Lehi left Jerusalem, even down until the present time.

3 Nephi 2:100 Therefore, I do make my record from the accounts which hath been given by those which were before me until the commencement of my day, And then do I make a record of the things which I have seen with mine own eyes;

3 Nephi 2:107 And as surely as the Lord liveth will He gather in from the four quarters of the earth all the remnant of the seed of Jacob which are scattered abroad upon all the face of the earth.

3 Nephi 2:109 And then shall they know their Redeemer, which is Jesus Christ the Son of God; And then shall they be gathered in from the four quarters of the earth unto their own lands, from whence they have been dispersed. Yea, as the Lord liveth, so shall it be! Amen.

3 Nephi 3:6 And now there was nothing in all the land to hinder the people from prospering continually, except they should fall into transgressions;

3 Nephi 3:8 And it came to pass that there were many cities built anew and there were many old cities repaired, And there were many highways cast up and many roads made which led from city to city and from land to land and from place to place;

3 Nephi 3:16 And they would not depart from it, for they were firm and steadfast and immovable, willing with all diligence to keep the commands of the Lord.

3 Nephi 3:22 And there began to be men inspired from heaven and sent forth, standing among the people in all the land, preaching and testifying boldly of the sins and iniquities of the people,

3 Nephi 3:29 Now behold, this was contrary to the laws of the land - that any man should be put to death except they had power from the governor of the land;

3 Nephi 3:34 Therefore, they did combine against the people of the Lord and enter into a covenant to destroy them and to deliver those which were guilty of murder from the grasp of justice, which was about to be administered according to the law;

3 Nephi 3:37 And the people were divided one against another, And they did separate one from another into tribes, every man according to his family and his kindred and friends - And thus they did destroy the government of the land -

3 Nephi 3:43 And thus six years had not passed away since the more part of the people had turned from their righteousness like the dog to his vomit, or like the sow to her wallowing in the mire.

3 Nephi 3:55 Nevertheless, their hearts were turned from the Lord their God and they did stone the prophets and did cast them out from among them.

3 Nephi 3:56 And it came to pass that Nephi - Having been visited by angels, and also the voice of the Lord, Therefore, having seen angels and being eyewitness, And having had power given unto him that he might know concerning the ministry of Christ, And also being eyewitness to their quick return from righteousness unto their wickedness and also abominations,

3 Nephi 3:60 And in the name of Jesus did he cast out devils and unclean spirits; And even his brother did he raise from the dead after he had been stoned and suffered death by the people;

3 Nephi 3:64 And as many as had devils cast out from them and were healed of their sicknesses and their infirmities did truly manifest unto the people that they had been wrought upon by the Spirit of God and had been healed;

3 Nephi 4:2 And there was not any man which could do a miracle in the name of Jesus, save he were cleansed every whit from his iniquity -

3 Nephi 4:30 "And behold, that great City Moronihah have I covered with earth, And the inhabitants thereof to hide their iniquities and their abominations from before My face, That the blood of the prophets and of the saints should not come up anymore unto Me against them.

3 Nephi 4:33 To hide their wickedness and their abominations from before My face, That the blood of the prophets and the saints should not come up anymore unto Me against them.

3 Nephi 4:35 And the inhabitants thereof have I buried up in the depths of the earth to hide their wickedness and abominations from before My face, That the blood of the prophets and the saints should not come up anymore unto Me against them.

3 Nephi 4:37 For it was they that did destroy the peace of My people and the government of the land; Therefore, I did cause them to be burned to destroy them from before My face, That the blood of the prophets and the saints should not come up unto Me anymore against them.

3 Nephi 4:39 And because they did cast them all out, that there were none righteous among them, I did send down fire and destroy them, that their wickedness and abominations might be hid from before My face, That the blood of the prophets and the saints which I sent among them might not cry unto Me from the ground against them.

3 Nephi 4:45 I was with the Father from the beginning; I Am in the Father and the Father in Me, And in Me hath the Father glorified His name.

3 Nephi 4:51 "Behold, I have come unto the world to bring redemption unto the world - to save the world from sin; Therefore, whoso repenteth and cometh unto Me as a little child, him will I receive, For of such is the kingdom of God.

3 Nephi 4:54 And after these sayings there was silence in the land for the space of many hours, For so great was the astonishment of the people that they did cease from lamenting and howling for the loss of their kindreds which had been slain; Therefore, there was silence in all the land for the space of many hours.

3 Nephi 4:62 And it was in the morning, And the darkness did pass from off the face of the land, And the earth did cease to tremble, And the rocks did cease to rend, And the dreadful groanings did cease, And all the tumultuous noises did pass away,

3 Nephi 5:7 And their eyes were toward the sound thereof; And they did look steadfastly toward heaven from whence the sound came. And behold, the third time they did understand the voice which they heard,

3 Nephi 5:12 And behold, I Am the light and the life of the world; And I have drunk out of that bitter cup which the Father hath given Me, And have glorified the Father in taking upon Me the sins of the world, in the which I have suffered the will of the Father in all things from the beginning."

3 Nephi 5:36 "Verily, verily I say unto you that this is My doctrine, And I bear record of it from the Father; And whoso believeth in Me, believeth in the Father also;

3 Nephi 5:45 And behold, He stretched forth His hand unto the multitude and cried unto them, saying: "Blessed are ye if ye shall give heed unto the words of these twelve which I have chosen from among you to minister unto you and to be your servants;

3 Nephi 5:65 For verily I say unto you, one jot nor one tittle hath not passed away from the law, but in Me it hath all been fulfilled.

3 Nephi 5:105 And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil.

3 Nephi 6:35 And then will I profess unto them, 'I never knew you; Depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.'

3 Nephi 7:18 But verily I say unto you that the Father hath commanded Me, and I tell it unto you, that ye were separated from among them because of their iniquity; Therefore, it is because of their iniquity that they know not of you.

3 Nephi 7:19 "And verily I say unto you again, that the other tribes hath the Father separated from them, And it is because of their iniquity that they know not of them.

3 Nephi 7:29 And then will I gather them in from the four quarters of the earth; And then will I fulfill the covenant which the Father hath made unto all the people of the house of Israel.

3 Nephi 7:32 'But wo, ' saith the Father, 'unto the unbelieving of the Gentiles! ' For notwithstanding that they have come forth upon the face of this land and have scattered My people which are of the house of Israel, And My people which are of the house of Israel have been cast out from among them and have been trodden under feet by them,

3 Nephi 7:33 And because of the mercies of the Father unto the Gentiles, and also the judgments of the Father upon My people which are of the house of Israel - Verily, verily I say unto you that after all this - And I have caused My people which are of the house of Israel to be smitten, and to be afflicted, and to be slain, and to be cast out from among them, and to become hated by them, and to become a hiss and a byword among them -

3 Nephi 7:35 And if they shall do all these things, And shall reject the fullness of My gospel, Behold, ' saith the Father, 'I will bring the fullness of My gospel from among them;

3 Nephi 8:22 And they arose from the earth; And He saith unto them: "Blessed are ye because of your faith! And now behold, My joy is full."

3 Nephi 8:53 "And behold, ye shall meet together oft, And ye shall not forbid any man from coming unto you when ye shall meet together, But suffer them that they may come unto you and forbid them not;

3 Nephi 8:61 "Therefore, if ye know that a man is unworthy to eat and drink of My flesh and blood, ye shall forbid him; Nevertheless, ye shall not cast him out from among you, But ye shall minister unto him and shall pray for him unto the Father in My name;

3 Nephi 8:74 And while they were overshadowed, He departed from them and ascended into heaven;

3 Nephi 9:4 And it came to pass that on the morrow when the multitude was gathered together, Behold, Nephi and his brother whom he had raised from the dead, whose name was Timothy, and also his son, whose name was Jonas, and also Mathoni and Mathonihah, his brother, and Kumen and Kumenonhi and Jeremiah and Shemnon and Jonas and Zedekiah and Isaiah - Now these were the names of the disciples whom Jesus had chosen -

3 Nephi 9:10 And when they had ministered those same words which Jesus had spoken, nothing varying from the words which Jesus had spoken, Behold, they knelt again and prayed to the Father in the name of Jesus; And they did pray for that which they most desired, And they desired that the Holy Ghost should be given unto them;

3 Nephi 9:15 And behold, they were encircled about as if it were fire; And it came down from heaven and the multitude did witness it and do bear record; And angels did come down out of heaven and did minister unto them.

3 Nephi 9:20 And it came to pass that Jesus departed out of the midst of them and went a little way off from them and bowed Himself to the earth, And He saith: "Father, I thank Thee that Thou hast given the Holy Ghost unto these whom I have chosen, And it is because of their belief in Me that I have chosen them out of the world;

3 Nephi 9:28 And He turned from them again and went a little way off and bowed Himself to the earth, And He prayed again unto the Father, saying: "Father, I thank Thee that Thou hast purified these which I have chosen because of their faith;

3 Nephi 9:49 O house of Israel; And then shall the remnants which shall be scattered abroad upon the face of the earth be gathered in - from the east and from the west, and from the south and from the north; And they shall be brought to the knowledge of the Lord their God who hath redeemed them;

3 Nephi 9:61 And it shall come to pass that every soul which will not hear that Prophet, shall be cut off from among the people.'

3 Nephi 9:62 "Verily I say unto you - Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have testified of Me -

3 Nephi 9:64 The Father having raised Me up unto you first and sent Me to bless you in turning away every one of you from his iniquities, And this because ye are the children of the covenant.

3 Nephi 9:75 Shake thyself from the dust - arise! Sit down, O Jerusalem! Loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion!

3 Nephi 9:79 'And then shall a cry go forth, Depart ye! Depart ye! Go ye out from thence. Touch not that which is unclean; Go ye out of the midst of her; Be ye clean that bear the vessels of the Lord.

3 Nephi 9:86 "And verily I say unto you, I give unto you a sign that ye may know the time when these things shall be about to take place, That I shall gather in from their long dispersion My people, O house of Israel, And shall establish again among them My Zion.

3 Nephi 9:89 "Verily, verily I say unto you, when these things shall be made known unto them of the Father, And shall come forth of the Father from them unto you - For it is wisdom in the Father that they should be established in this land

3 Nephi 9:90 and be set up as a free people by the power of the Father, That these things might come forth from them unto a remnant of your seed, That the covenant of the Father may be fulfilled which He hath covenanted with His people, O house of Israel -

3 Nephi 9:91 "Therefore, when these works, and the work which shall be wrought among you hereafter, shall come forth from the Gentiles unto your seed, which shall dwindle in unbelief because of iniquity -

3 Nephi 9:92 For thus it behooveth the Father that it should come forth from the Gentiles, That He may show forth His power unto the Gentiles for this cause: That the Gentiles - if they will not harden their hearts - That they may repent and come unto Me and be baptized in My name and know of the true points of My doctrine, That they may be numbered among My people, O house of Israel -

3 Nephi 9:98 "Therefore, it shall come to pass that whosoever will not believe in My words - which am Jesus Christ - Which the Father shall cause him to bring forth unto the Gentiles, And shall give unto him power that he shall bring them forth unto the Gentiles - it shall be done even as Moses said - They shall be cut off from among My people which are of the covenant.

3 Nephi 9:106 For it shall come to pass, ' saith the Father, ' that at that day, whosoever will not repent and come unto My beloved Son, Them will I cut off from among My people, O house of Israel, And I will execute vengeance and fury upon them - even as upon the heathen - such as they have not heard! '

3 Nephi 10:8 And they shall go out from all nations, And they shall not go out in haste nor go by flight; 'For I will go before them, ' saith the Father, 'And I will be their rearward.' "And then shall that which is written come to pass:

3 Nephi 10:16 In a little wrath I hid My face from thee for a moment; But with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, ' saith the Lord thy Redeemer.

3 Nephi 10:18 For the mountains shall depart, And the hills be removed, But My kindness shall not depart from thee, Neither shall the covenant of My peace be removed, ' saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.

3 Nephi 10:22 In righteousness shalt thou be established; Thou shalt be far from oppression, for thou shalt not fear; And from terror, for it shall not come near thee.

3 Nephi 10:36 "Verily I say unto you, I commanded My servant Samuel the Lamanite that he should testify unto this people, That at the day that the Father should glorify His name in Me, That there were many saints which should arise from the dead and should appear unto many and should minister unto them."

3 Nephi 11:10 Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from Mine ordinances and have not kept them. Return unto Me, and I will return unto you, ' saith the Lord of Hosts. 'But ye say, "Wherein shall we return?"

3 Nephi 11:30 And He did expound all things, even from the beginning until the time that He should come in His glory;

3 Nephi 12:2 And these things have I written which are a lesser part of the things which He taught the people, And I have written them to the intent that they may be brought again unto this people from the Gentiles according to the words which Jesus hath spoken.

3 Nephi 12:4 And if it so be that they will not believe these things, Then shall the greater things be withheld from them unto their condemnation.

3 Nephi 12:8 And it came to pass that after He had ascended into heaven the second time that He showed Himself unto them, And gone unto the Father after having healed all their sick and their lame, And opened the eyes of the blind, And unstopped the ears of the deaf, And even had done all manner of cures among them, And raised a man from the dead, And had shown forth His power unto them, And had ascended unto the Father-

3 Nephi 12:10 And it came to pass that the disciples whom Jesus had chosen began from that time forth to baptize and to teach as many as did come unto them, And as many as were baptized in the name of Jesus were filled with the Holy Ghost;

3 Nephi 12:23 "But if it be not built upon My gospel and is built upon the works of man or upon the works of the devil, Verily I say unto you, they have joy in their works for a season; And by and by the end cometh, And they are hewn down and cast into the fire from whence there is no return;

3 Nephi 12:30 And he that endureth not unto the end, The same is he that is also hewn down and cast into the fire from whence they can no more return because of the justice of the Father. "And this is the word which He hath given unto the children of men;

3 Nephi 13:9 "But behold, it sorroweth Me because of the fourth generation from this generation, For they are led away captive by him, even as was the son of perdition; For they will sell Me for silver and for gold, And for that which moth doth corrupt and which thieves can break through and steal;

3 Nephi 13:19 And ye shall never endure the pains of death; But when I shall come in My glory, ye shall be changed in the twinkling of an eye from mortality to immortality; And then shall ye be blessed in the kingdom of My Father.

3 Nephi 13:27 And whether they were in the body or out of the body, they could not tell; For it did seem unto them like a transfiguration of them, That they were changed from this body of flesh into an immortal state that they could behold the things of God.

3 Nephi 13:29 And now whether they were mortal or immortal from the day of their transfiguration, I know not; But this much I know, according to the record which hath been given - They did go forth upon the face of the land and did minister unto all the people, uniting as many to the church as would believe in their preaching, baptizing them,

3 Nephi 13:38 Behold, I was about to write the names of those who were never to taste of death; But the Lord forbade, Therefore, I write them not, for they are hid from the world;

3 Nephi 13:49 And now behold, as I spoke concerning them whom the Lord had chosen, Yea, even three which were caught up into the heavens, that I knew not whether they were cleansed from mortality to immortality;

3 Nephi 14:2 "Turn, all ye Gentiles, from your wicked ways! And repent of your evil doings - of your lyings and deceivings, and your whoredoms, and of your secret abominations, and your idolatries, and of your murders, and your priestcrafts, and your envyings, and your strifes, and from all your wickedness and abominations -

4 Nephi 1:13 And they did not walk anymore after the performances and ordinances of the law of Moses, But they did walk after the commandments which they had received from their Lord and their God, Continuing in fasting and prayer and in meeting together oft, both to pray and to hear the word of the Lord.

4 Nephi 1:21 And how blessed were they, for the Lord did bless them in all their doings, Yea, even they were blessed and prospered until an hundred and ten years had passed away; And the first generation from Christ had passed away; And there was no contention in all the land.

4 Nephi 1:23 And he kept it eighty and four years; And there was still peace in the land, save it were a small part of the people which had revolted from the church and took upon them the name of Lamanites; Therefore, there began to be Lamanites again in the land.

4 Nephi 1:24 And it came to pass that Amos died also; And it was an hundred and ninety and four years from the coming of Christ; And his son Amos kept the record in his stead, And he also kept it upon the plates of Nephi; And it was also written in the book of Nephi, which is this book.

4 Nephi 1:28 And from that time forth, they did have their goods and their substance no more common among them, And they began to be divided into classes, And they began to build up churches unto themselves to get gain, And began to deny the true church of Christ.

4 Nephi 1:35 And they did cast them into furnaces of fire, And they came forth receiving no harm; And they also cast them into dens of wild beasts, And they did play with the wild beasts, even as a child with a lamb, And they did come forth from among them receiving no harm.

4 Nephi 1:38 And thus they did dwindle in unbelief and wickedness from year to year, even until two hundred and thirty years had passed away.

4 Nephi 1:43 And they did teach their children that they should not believe, even as their fathers from the beginning did dwindle;

4 Nephi 1:45 And they were taught to hate the children of God, even as the Lamanites were taught to hate the children of Nephi from the beginning.

4 Nephi 1:52 And from this time the disciples began to sorrow for the sins of the world.

4 Nephi 1:58 Yea, even all the sacred records which had been handed down from generation to generation which were sacred, even until the three hundred and twentieth year from the coming of Christ -

Mormon 1:15 And there were no gifts from the Lord, And the Holy Ghost did not come upon any because of their wickedness and unbelief.

Mormon 1:49 And it came to pass that we did fortify the City of Shem; And we did gather in our people as much as it were possible, that perhaps we might save them from destruction.

Mormon 1:52 And my words did arouse them somewhat to vigor, Insomuch that they did not flee from before the Lamanites, but did stand with boldness against them.

Mormon 1:54 And it came to pass that we did stand before them with such firmness that they did flee from before us.

Mormon 1:68 And it came to pass that after this tenth year had passed away, making in the whole three hundred and sixty years from the coming of Christ, And the king of the Lamanites sent an epistle unto me which gave unto me to know that they were preparing to come again to battle against us.

Mormon 1:75 And they did swear by the heavens, and also by the throne of God, that they would go up to battle against their enemies and would cut them off from the face of the land.

Mormon 1:76 And it came to pass that I, Mormon, did utterly refuse from this time forth to be a commander and a leader of this people because of their wickedness and abomination.

Mormon 1:80 And when they had sworn by all that had been forbidden them by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that they would go up unto their enemies to battle and avenge themselves of the blood of their brethren, Behold, the voice of the Lord came unto me, saying: "Vengeance is Mine and I will repay! And because this people repented not after that I had delivered them, Behold, they shall be cut off from the face of the earth!"

Mormon 2:20 And from this time forth did the Nephites gain no power over the Lamanites, but began to be swept off by them, even as a dew before the sun.

Mormon 2:22 And they fled again from before them and they came to the City Boaz; And there they did stand against the Lamanites with exceeding boldness, insomuch that the Lamanites did not beat them until they had come again the second time;

Mormon 2:24 And it came to pass that the Nephites did again flee from before them, taking all the inhabitants with them, both in towns and villages.

Mormon 2:26 And it came to pass that I did go forth among the Nephites and did repent of the oath which I had made, that I would no more assist them; And they gave me command again of their armies, for they looked upon me as though I could deliver them from their afflictions.

Mormon 2:37 And now behold, this I speak unto their seed, and also to the Gentiles which hath care for the house of Israel, that realize and know from whence their blessings come;

Mormon 2:43 And also that the seed of this people may more fully believe His gospel which shall go forth unto them from the Gentiles.

Mormon 2:51 And then, O ye Gentiles, how can ye stand before the power of God except ye shall repent and turn from your evil ways?

Mormon 3:14 And we, having survived the dead of our people, did behold on the morrow - when the Lamanites had returned unto their camps - from the top of the Hill Cumorah the ten thousand of my people which were hewn down, being led in the front by me; And we also beheld the ten thousand of my people which were led by my son Moroni.

Mormon 3:18 And my soul was rent with anguish because of the slain of my people, And I cried: "O ye fair ones, how could ye have departed from the ways of the Lord! O ye fair ones, how could ye have rejected that Jesus who stood with open arms to receive you!

Mormon 3:30 Therefore, repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus and lay hold upon the gospel of Christ which shall be set before you, Not only in this record, but also in the record which shall come unto the Gentiles from the Jews, which record shall come from the Gentiles unto you.

Mormon 4:8 And behold, the Lamanites have hunted my people the Nephites down from city to city and from place to place, even until they are no more, And great has been their fall, Yea, great and marvelous is the destruction of my people the Nephites;

Mormon 4:28 Yea, behold, I say unto you that those saints which have gone before me, which have possessed this land, shall cry - Yea, even from the dust will they cry unto the Lord - And as the Lord liveth, He will remember the covenant which He hath made with them.

Mormon 4:34 And it shall come in a day when it shall be said that miracles are done away. And it shall come even as if one should speak from the dead.

Mormon 4:55 Yea, why do ye build up your secret abominations to get gain? And cause that widows should mourn before the Lord? And also orphans to mourn before the Lord? And also the blood of their fathers and their husbands to cry unto the Lord from the ground for vengeance upon your heads?

Mormon 4:72 And because of the redemption of man, which came by Jesus Christ, they are brought back into the presence of the Lord. Yea, this is wherein all men are redeemed because the death of Christ bringeth to pass the resurrection, Which bringeth to pass a redemption from an endless sleep, From which sleep all men shall be awakened by the power of God when the trump shall sound;

Mormon 4:73 And they shall come forth, both small and great, And all shall stand before His bar, being redeemed and loosed from this eternal band of death, Which death is a temporal death.

Mormon 4:83 And the reason why He ceaseth to do miracles among the children of men is because that they dwindle in unbelief, and depart from the right way, and know not the God in whom they should trust.

Mormon 4:96 Behold, I speak unto you as though I spake from the dead, for I know that ye shall have my words;

Ether 1:2 And I take mine account from the twenty and four plates which were found by the people of Limhi, which is called the book of Ether;

Ether 1:3 And as I suppose that the first part of this record which speaketh concerning the creation of the world, and also of Adam - And an account from that time, even to the Great Tower, And whatsoever things transpired among the children of men until that time - is had among the Jews,

Ether 1:4 Therefore, I do not write those things which transpired from the days of Adam until that time, But they are had upon the plates; And whoso findeth them, the same will have power that he may get the full account.

Ether 1:5 But behold, I give not the full account, But a part of the account I give from the Tower down until they were destroyed; And on this wise do I give the account.

Ether 1:7 Which Jared came forth with his brother and their families, with some others and their families, From the Great Tower at the time the Lord confounded the language of the people and swear in His wrath that they should be scattered upon all the face of the earth; And according to the word of the Lord, the people were scattered.

Ether 1:10 Then Jared said unto his brother: "Cry again unto the Lord, And it may be that He will turn away His anger from them which are our friends, that He confound not their language."

Ether 1:30 And He had sworn in His wrath unto the brother of Jared that whoso should possess this Land of Promise from that time henceforth and forever should serve Him, the true and only God, Or they should be swept off when the fullness of His wrath should come upon them.

Ether 1:35 Behold, this is a choice land; And whatsoever nation shall possess it shall be free from bondage and from captivity and from all other nations under heaven, If they will but serve the God of the land which is Jesus Christ, which hath been manifested by the things which we have written.

Ether 1:41 And the Lord said unto him: "I will forgive thee and thy brethren of their sins, But thou shalt not sin anymore, for ye shall remember that My Spirit will not always strive with man; Wherefore, if ye will sin until ye are fully ripe, ye shall be cut off from the presence of the Lord;

Ether 1:63 Because of the fall, our natures have become evil continually - Nevertheless, O Lord, Thou hast given us a commandment that we must call upon Thee, that from Thee we may receive according to our desires.

Ether 1:65 "O Lord, look upon me in pity and turn away Thine anger from this Thy people, And suffer not that they shall go forth across this raging deep in darkness, But behold these things which I have molten out of the rock.

Ether 1:69 And the veil was taken from off the eyes of the brother of Jared and he saw the finger of the Lord, And it was as the finger of a man - like unto flesh and blood; And the brother of Jared fell down before the Lord, for he was struck with fear.

Ether 1:76 And when he had said these words, Behold, the Lord showed Himself unto him and said: "Because thou knowest these things, ye are redeemed from the fall; Therefore, ye are brought back into My presence; Therefore, I show Myself unto you.

Ether 1:77 "Behold, I Am He which was prepared from the foundation of the world to redeem My people; Behold, I Am Jesus Christ, I Am the Father and the Son;

Ether 1:84 And because of the knowledge of this man, he could not be kept from beholding within the veil; And he saw the finger of Jesus which when he saw, he fell with fear, for he knew that it was the finger of the Lord;

Ether 1:85 And he had faith no longer, for he knew, nothing doubting; Wherefore, having this perfect knowledge of God, he could not be kept from beholding within the veil; Therefore, he saw Jesus, And He did minister unto him.

Ether 1:90 And when the Lord had said these words, the Lord showed unto the brother of Jared all the inhabitants of the earth which had been, and also all that would be; And the Lord withheld them not from his sight, even unto the ends of the earth;

Ether 1:91 For the Lord had said unto him in times before that if he would believe in Him that He could show unto him all things, it should be shown unto him; Therefore, the Lord could not withhold anything from him, for he knew that the Lord could show him all things.

Ether 1:94 And the Lord commanded the brother of Jared to go down out of the mount from the presence of the Lord and write the things which he had seen; And they were forbidden to come unto the children of men until after that He should be lifted up upon the cross;

Ether 3:87 And it came to pass that they all swear unto him by the God of heaven, and also by the heavens, and also by the earth and by their heads, That whoso should vary from the assistance which Akish desired should lose his head,

Ether 3:89 And Akish did administer unto them the oaths which were given by them of old who also sought power, which had been handed down, even from Cain who was a murderer from the beginning;

Ether 3:93 For the Lord worketh not in secret combinations, Neither doth He will that man should shed blood, But in all things hath forbidden it, from the beginning of man.

Ether 3:95 And whatsoever nation shall uphold such secret combinations to get power and gain, until they shall spread over the nation - Behold, they shall be destroyed; For the Lord will not suffer that the blood of His saints, which shall be shed by them, shall always cry unto Him from the ground for vengeance upon them and yet He avengeth them not.

Ether 3:98 Wherefore, the Lord commandeth you, when ye shall see these things come among you, that ye shall awake to a sense of your awful situation because of this secret combination which shall be among you, Or wo be unto it because of the blood of them which have been slain! For they cry from the dust for vengeance upon it, and also upon those who build it up.

Ether 3:101 Yea, even that same liar which hath caused man to commit murder from the beginning, Which hath hardened the hearts of men that they have murdered the prophets and stoned them and cast them out from the beginning.

Ether 4:4 And came over by the place where the Nephites were destroyed, and from thence eastward, And came to a place which was called Ablom, by the seashore, And there he pitched his tent, And also his sons and his daughters and all his household, save it were Jared and his family.

Ether 5:19 And there were many whose faith was so exceeding strong, even before Christ came, which could not be kept from within the veil, But truly saw with their eyes the things which they had beheld with an eye of faith and they were glad.

Ether 5:20 And behold, we have seen in this record that one of these was the brother of Jared; For so great was his faith in God that when God put forth His finger, He could not hide it from the sight of the brother of Jared because of his word which he had spoken unto Him, which word he had obtained by faith;

Ether 5:21 And after that the brother of Jared had beheld the finger of the Lord, Because of the promise which the brother of Jared had obtained by faith, the Lord could not withhold anything from his sight; Wherefore, He showed him all things, for he could no longer be kept without the veil.

Ether 6:4 Behold, Ether saw the days of Christ; And he spake concerning a New Jerusalem upon this land - And he spake also concerning the house of Israel and the Jerusalem from whence Lehi should come - After that it should be destroyed, it should be built up again a holy city unto the Lord;

Ether 6:24 And it came to pass that Coriantumr repented not, neither his household, neither the people; And the wars did cease not; And they sought to kill Ether, But he fled from before them and hid again in the cavity of the rock.

Ether 6:58 And so swift and speedy was the war, that there was none left to bury the dead, But they did march forth from the shedding of blood to the shedding of blood, Leaving the bodies of both men, women and children strewed upon the face of the land to become a prey to the worms of the flesh;

Moroni 7:3 Wherefore, I would speak unto you that are of the church, that are the peaceable followers of Christ, And that have obtained a sufficient hope by which ye can enter into the rest of the Lord from this time henceforth, until ye shall rest with Him in heaven.

Moroni 7:13 For behold, my brethren, it is given unto you to judge, that ye may know good from evil; And the way to judge is as plain, that ye may know with a perfect knowledge, as the daylight is from the dark night;

Moroni 7:14 For behold, the Spirit of Christ is given to every man, that they may know good from evil. Wherefore, I show unto you the way to judge: For everything which inviteth to do good and to persuade to believe in Christ is sent forth by the power and gift of Christ;

Moroni 7:18 Wherefore, I beseech of you, brethren, that ye should search diligently in the light of Christ that ye may know good from evil; And if ye will lay hold upon every good thing and condemn it not, ye certainly will be a child of Christ.

Moroni 7:21 For behold, God knowing all things, being from everlasting to everlasting, Behold, He sent angels to minister unto the children of men, to make manifest concerning the coming of Christ; And in Christ there should come every good thing;

Moroni 7:39 Or hath He withheld the power of the Holy Ghost from them?

Moroni 8:6 "And now my son, I desire that ye should labor exceedingly that this gross error should be removed from among you; For, for this intent I have written this epistle.

Moroni 8:9 Behold, I came into the world, not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance; The whole need no physician, but they that are sick; Wherefore, little children are whole, for they are not capable of committing sin; Wherefore, the curse of Adam is taken from them in Me, that it hath no power over them; And the law of circumcision is done away in Me.'

Moroni 8:13 But little children are alive in Christ, even from the foundation of the world; If not so, God is a partial God, and also a changeable Being and a respecter to persons; For how many little children have died without baptism?

Moroni 8:18 "Behold, I speak with boldness, having authority from God; For I fear not what man can do; For perfect love casteth out all fear; And I am filled with charity, which is everlasting love; Wherefore, all children are alike unto me; Wherefore, I love little children with a perfect love; And they are all alike and partakers of salvation;

Moroni 8:19 For I know that God is not a partial God, neither a changeable Being, But He is unchangeable from all eternity to all eternity.

Moroni 8:33 "But behold, I fear lest the Spirit hath ceased striving with them; And in this part of the land they are also seeking to put down all power and authority which cometh from God, And they are denying the Holy Ghost;

Moroni 9:14 Come out in judgment, O God, And hide their sins and wickedness and abominations from before Thy face!

Moroni 10:3 Behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things - if it be wisdom in God that ye should read them - That ye would remember how merciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men from the creation of Adam, even down until the time that ye shall receive these things, And ponder it in your hearts.

Moroni 10:8 And again I exhort you, my brethren, that ye deny not the gifts of God, for they are many and they come from the same God;

Moroni 10:22 And I exhort you to remember these things! For the time speedily cometh that ye shall know that I lie not, For ye shall see me at the bar of God, And the Lord God will say unto you: "Did I not declare My words unto you which were written by this man, like as one crying from the dead?

Moroni 10:25 And behold, they shall proceed forth out of the mouth of the Everlasting God; And His word shall hiss forth from generation to generation;

Moroni 10:28 And awake! And arise from the dust, O Jerusalem! Yea, and put on thy beautiful garments, O daughter of Zion! And strengthen thy stakes and enlarge thy borders forever, that thou mayest no more be confounded, That the covenants of the Eternal God which He hath made unto thee, O house of Israel, may be fulfilled.
