1 Nephi 1:1 I, Nephi, having been born of goodly parents, therefore, I was taught somewhat in all the learning of my father, And having seen many afflictions in the course of my days, nevertheless, having been highly favored of the Lord in all my days, Yea, having had a great knowledge of the goodness and the mysteries of God, Therefore, I make a record of my proceedings in my days; Yea, I make a record in the language of my father, which consists of the learning of the Jews, and the language of the Egyptians;
1 Nephi 1:14 And after this manner was the language of my father in the praising of his God, For his soul did rejoice and his whole heart was filled because of the things which he had seen, yea, which the Lord had shown unto him.
1 Nephi 1:82 "And behold, it is wisdom in God that we should obtain these records, that we might preserve unto our children the language of our fathers,

Ether 1:7 Which Jared came forth with his brother and their families, with some others and their families, From the Great Tower at the time the Lord confounded the language of the people and swear in His wrath that they should be scattered upon all the face of the earth; And according to the word of the Lord, the people were scattered.
Ether 1:9 And it came to pass that the brother of Jared did cry unto the Lord, And the Lord had compassion upon Jared; Therefore, He did not confound the language of Jared, And Jared and his brother were not confounded.
Ether 1:10 Then Jared said unto his brother: "Cry again unto the Lord, And it may be that He will turn away His anger from them which are our friends, that He confound not their language."
Ether 1:87 "And behold, when ye shall come unto Me, ye shall write them and shall seal them up, that no one can interpret them, For ye shall write them in a language that they cannot be read;
Ether 1:89 For behold, the language which ye shall write, I have confounded; Wherefore, I will cause in Mine own due time that these stones shall magnify to the eyes of men these things which ye shall write."
Ether 5:40 And then shall ye know that I have seen Jesus, And that He hath talked with me face to face, And that He told me in plain humility, even as a man telleth another, in mine own language concerning these things; And only a few have I written because of my weakness in writing.
