1 Nephi 1:13 And it came to pass that when my father had read and saw many great and marvelous things, he did exclaim many things unto the Lord, such as: "Great and marvelous are Thy works, O Lord God Almighty! Thy throne is high in the heavens! And Thy power and goodness and mercy are over all the inhabitants of the earth; And because Thou art merciful, Thou wilt not suffer those who come unto Thee, that they shall perish!"
1 Nephi 2:88 And he did exhort them then with all the feeling of a tender parent that they would hearken to his words, in that perhaps the Lord would be merciful to them and not cast them off.

Alma 19:77 O my son, this is not the case, But the meaning of the word "restoration" is to bring back again evil for evil, or carnal for carnal, or devilish for devilish, good for that which is good, righteous for that which is righteous, just for that which is just, merciful for that which is merciful.
Alma 19:78 Therefore, my son, see that ye are merciful unto your brethren, Deal justly, judge righteously and do good continually; And if ye do all these things, then shall ye receive your reward -
