DC 68:2g but by virtue of the decree concerning their right of the priesthood descending from father to son, they may claim their anointing, if at any time they can prove their lineage, or do ascertain it by revelation from the Lord under the hands of the
above-named presidency.
DC 99:3 The number composing the council, who voted in the name and for the church in appointing the
above-named councilors, were forty-three, as follows: nine high priests, seventeen elders, four priests, and thirteen members.
DC 99:4a Voted: that the high council can not have power to act without seven of the
above-named councilors, or their regularly appointed successors, are present.
DC 99:5a Voted: that whenever any vacancy shall occur by the death, removal from office for transgression, or removal from the bounds of this church government, of any of the
above-named councilors,
