Genesis 6:1 And Adam hearkened unto the voice of God, and called upon his sons to repent.

DC 36:Intro SECTION 36
In June 1830 Joseph Smith began an inspired correction of the Holy Scriptures, the necessity for which had been pointed out in the revelation of June 1830 (D. and C. 22:24). While engaged in this work in December 1830, Joseph received the following revelation which is an extract from the prophecy of Enoch. This revelation now forms Genesis 7:1-78 of the Inspired Version of the Holy Scriptures. It was given at Fayette, New York. The 1835 edition did not include this section. It has appeared as Section 36 since 1864 and was specifically approved at the 1970 World Conference for retention in its present place.
DC 36:3d And it came to pass that the Lord showed unto Enoch all the inhabitants of the earth, and he beheld, and lo! Zion, in process of time, was taken up into heaven.
DC 83:2e Esaias also lived in the days of Abraham and was blessed of him, which Abraham received the priesthood from Melchisedec; who received it through the lineage of his fathers, even till Noah;
DC 104:17 It is the duty of the Twelve, in all large branches of the church, to ordain evangelical ministers, as they shall be designated unto them by revelation.
DC 104:18 The order of this priesthood was confirmed to be handed down from father to son, and rightly belongs to the literal descendants of the chosen seed, to whom the promises were made. This order was instituted in the days of Adam, and came down by lineage in the following manner:

DC 104:21 God called upon Cainan in the wilderness, in the fortieth year of his age, and he met Adam in journeying to the place Shedolamak: he was eighty-seven years old when he received his ordination.
DC 104:22 Mahalaleel was four hundred and ninety-six years and seven days old when he was ordained by the hand of Adam, who also blessed him.
DC 104:23 Jared was two hundred years old when he was ordained under the hand of Adam, who also blessed him.
DC 104:24b and he walked with him, and was before his face continually: and he walked with God three hundred and sixty-five years: making him four hundred and thirty years old when he was translated.
DC 104:27 Noah was ten years old when he was ordained under the hand of Methuselah.
DC 104:28a Three years previous to the death of Adam, he called Seth, Enos, Cainan, Mahalaleel, Jared, Enoch, and Methuselah, who were all high priests, with the residue of his posterity, who were righteous, into the valley of Adam-ondi-Ahman, and there bestowed upon them his last blessing.
DC 104:28b And the Lord appeared unto them, and they rose up and blessed Adam, and called him Michael, the Prince, the Archangel.
DC 104:28c And the Lord administered comfort unto Adam, and said unto him, I have set thee to be at the head: a multitude of nations shall come of thee; and thou art a prince over them forever.
DC 110:18c It is the baptism for the dead. For we without them cannot be made perfect; neither can they without us be made perfect.
