Alma 12:188 Now when Lamoni had heard this, he caused that his servants should make ready his horses, and his chariots.
Alma 12:189 And he said unto Ammon, Come, I will go with thee down to the land of Middoni, and there I will plead with the king, that he will cast thy brethren out of prison.
Alma 12:196 Behold, he robbed our fathers; and now his children are also come amongst us, that they may, by their cunning and their lyings, deceive us, that they again may rob us of our property.
Alma 12:198 And he also commanded him that he should not go to the land of Middoni, but that he should return with him, to the land of Ishmael.
Alma 12:200 Now when his father had heard these words, he was angry with him, and he drew his sword that he might smite him to the earth.
Alma 12:203 And again, it is expedient that thou shouldst forbear; for if thou shouldst slay thy son, (he being an innocent man,) his blood would cry from the ground, to the Lord his God, for vengeance to come upon thee; and perhaps thou wouldst lose thy soul.
Alma 12:204 Now when Ammon had said these words unto him, he answered him saying, I know that if I should slay my son, that I should shed innocent blood; for it is thou that hast sought to destroy him: and he stretched forth his hand to slay Ammon.
Alma 12:205 But Ammon withstood his blows, and also smote his arm that he could not use it.
Alma 12:206 Now when the king saw that Ammon could slay him, he began to plead with Ammon, that he would spare his life.
Alma 12:208 Now the king, fearing that he should lose his life, said, If thou wilt spare me, I will grant unto thee whatsoever thou wilt ask, even to the half of the kingdom.
Alma 12:209 Now when Ammon saw that he had wrought upon the old king according to his desire, he said unto him, If thou wilt grant that my brethren may be cast out of prison, and also that Lamoni may retain his kingdom, and that ye be not displeased with him, but grant that he may do according to his own desires, in whatsoever thing he thinketh, then will I spare thee; otherwise I will smite thee to the earth.
Alma 12:210 Now when Ammon had said these words, the king began to rejoice because of his life.
Alma 12:214 For the king was greatly astonished at the words which he had spoken, and also at the words which had been spoken by his son Lamoni; therefore he was desirous to learn them.
Alma 12:215 And it came to pass that Ammon and Lamoni proceeded on their journey towards the land of Middoni.
Alma 12:216 And Lamoni found favor in the eyes of the king of the land; therefore the brethren of Ammon were brought forth out of prison.
Alma 12:220 Therefore they would not hearken unto their words, and they had cast them out, and had smitten them, and had driven them from house to house, and from place to place, even until they had arrived to the land of Middoni;
Alma 13:Intro An account of the preaching of Aaron and Muloki, and their brethren, to the Lamanites.
Alma 13:18 Nevertheless, Aaron, and a certain number of his brethren, were taken and cast into prison, and the remainder of them fled out of the land of Middoni, unto the regions round about.
Alma 13:22 And it came to pass that the Lord began to bless them, insomuch that they brought many to the knowledge of the truth; yea, they did convince many of their sins, and of the tradition of their fathers, which were not correct.
Alma 13:23 And it came to pass that Ammon and Lamoni returned from the land of Middoni, to the land of Ishmael, which was the land of their inheritance.
Alma 13:27 And he also declared unto them that they might have the liberty of worshipping the Lord their God, according to their desires, in whatsoever place they were in, if it were in the land which was under the reign of King Lamoni.
Alma 13:29 And he did exhort them daily, with all diligence; and they gave heed unto his word, and they were zealous for keeping the commandments of God.
Alma 13:31 For after he departed from the land of Middoni, he was led by the Spirit to the land of Nephi; even to the house of the king which was over all the land, save it were the land of Ishmael and he was the father of Lamoni.
Alma 13:33 And the king said unto them, Arise for I will grant unto you your lives, and I will not suffer that ye shall be my servants; but I will insist that ye shall administer unto me;
Alma 13:36 Now the king said unto them, What is this that ye have said concerning the Spirit of the Lord? Behold, this is the thing which doth trouble me.
Alma 13:81 Now this was wisdom in the Nephites; as the Lamanites were an enemy to them, they would not suffer their afflictions on every hand, and also that they might have a country whither they might flee, according to their desires.
Alma 13:82 And now I, having said this, return again to the account of Ammon, and Aaron, Omner, and Himni, and their brethren.
Alma 14:9 And thousands were brought to the knowledge of the Lord, yea, thousands were brought to believe in the traditions of the Nephites; and they were taught the records and the prophecies which were handed down, even to the present time;
Alma 14:24 And the king died in that self-same year that the Lamanites began to make preparations for war against the people of God.
Alma 14:77 And thus they did retain a hope through faith, unto eternal salvation, relying upon the spirit of prophecy, which spake of those things to come.
Alma 14:78 And now behold, Ammon, and Aaron, and Omner, and Himni, and their brethren, did rejoice exceedingly, for the success which they had had among the Lamanites, seeing that the Lord had granted unto them according to their prayers, and that he had also verified his word unto them in every particular.
Alma 14:89 For if we had not come up out of the land of Zarahemla, these our dearly beloved brethren, who have so dearly beloved us, would still have been racked with hatred against us, yea, and they would also have been strangers to God.
Alma 14:90 And it came to pass that when Ammon had said these words, his brother Aaron rebuked him, saying: Ammon, I fear that thy joy doth carry thee away unto boasting.
Alma 15:4 Now this people again refused to take their arms, and they suffered themselves to be slain according to the desires of the enemies.
Alma 15:5 Now when Ammon and his brethren saw this work of destruction among those who they so dearly beloved, and among those who had so dearly beloved them; for they were treated as though they were angels sent from God to save them from everlasting destruction;
Alma 15:7 But the king said unto them, Behold, the Nephites will destroy us, because of the many murders and sins we have committed against them.
Alma 15:9 And the king said unto him, Yea, if the Lord saith unto us, Go, we will go down unto our brethren, and we will be their slaves until we repair unto them the many murders and sins which we have committed against them.
Alma 15:11 But the king said unto him, Inquire of the Lord, and if he saith unto us, Go, we will go; otherwise we will perish in the land.
Alma 15:12 And it came to pass that Ammon went and inquired of the Lord, and the Lord said unto him, Get this people out of this land, that they perish not, for Satan has great hold on the hearts of the Amalekites, who do stir up the Lamanites to anger against their brethren, to slay them; therefore get thee out of this land; and blessed are this people in this generation; for I will preserve them.
Alma 15:14 And they gathered together all their people; yea, all the people of the Lord, and did gather together all their flocks and herds, and departed out of the land, and came into the wilderness which divided the land of Nephi from the land of Zarahemla, and came over near the borders of the land.
Alma 15:15 And it came to pass that Ammon said unto them, Behold, I and my brethren will go forth into the land of Zarahemla, and ye shall remain here until we return; and we will try the hearts of our brethren, whether they will that ye shall come into their land.
Alma 15:16 And it came to pass that as Ammon was going forth into the land, that he and his brethren met Alma, over in the place of which has been spoken; and behold, this was a joyful meeting.
Alma 15:26 And now behold, this will we do unto our brethren, that they may inherit the land Jershon; and we will guard them from their enemies with our armies, on conditions they will give us a portion of their substance to assist us, that we may maintain our armies.
Alma 15:27 Now it came to pass that when Ammon had heard this, he returned to the people of Anti-Nephi-Lehi, and also Alma with him, into the wilderness, where they had pitched their tents, and made known unto them all these things.
Alma 15:28 And Alma also related unto them his conversion with Ammon, and Aaron and his brethren. And it came to pass that it did cause great joy among them.
Alma 15:35 And thus they were a zealous and beloved people, a highly favored people of the Lord.
Alma 15:42 And now surely this was a sorrowful day; yea, a time of solemnity and a time of much fasting and prayer: and thus ended the fifteenth year of the reign of the Judges of the people of Nephi;
Alma 15:69 And may God grant that it may be done according to my words, even as I have spoken. Amen.
Alma 16:19 And thus he did preach unto them, leading away the hearts of many, causing them to lift up their heads in their wickedness; yea, leading away many women and also men, to commit whoredoms; telling them that when a man was dead, that was the end thereof.
Alma 16:20 Now this man went over to the land of Jershon also, to preach these things among the people of Ammon, who were once the people of the Lamanites.
Alma 16:82 And now, as the preaching of the word had had a greater tendency to lead the people to do that which was just; yea, it had had more powerful effect upon the minds of the people than the sword, or anything else, which had happened unto them; therefore Alma thought it was expedient that they should try the virtue of the word of God.
Alma 16:111 O Lord, wilt thou grant unto me that I may have strength, that I may suffer with patience these afflictions which shall come upon me, because of the iniquity of this people?
Alma 16:246 And it came to pass that Alma and his brethren did minister unto them.
Alma 16:248 And he breathed out many threatenings against them.
Alma 16:250 And they did nourish them, and did clothe them, and did give unto them lands for their inheritance; and they did administer unto them according to their wants.
Alma 16:251 Now this did stir up the Zoramites to anger against the people of Ammon, and they began to mix with the Lamanites, and to stir them up also to anger against them;
Alma 16:253 And thus ended the seventeenth year of the reign of the Judges, over the people of Nephi.
Alma 16:255 And thus commenced a war betwixt the Lamanites and the Nephites, in the eighteenth year of the reign of the Judges; and an account shall be given of their wars hereafter.
Alma 17:37 And now, it has hitherto been wisdom in God, that these things should be preserved: for behold, they have enlarged the memory of this people, yea, and convinced many of the error of their ways, and brought them to the knowledge of their God, unto the salvation of their souls.
Alma 20:10 Yea, and also their liberty, that they might worship God according to their desires; for they knew that if they should fall into the hands of the Lamanites, that whosoever should worship God, in spirit and in truth, the true and the living God, the Lamanites would destroy;
Alma 20:13 And the Nephites would not suffer that they should be destroyed; therefore they gave them lands for their inheritance.
Alma 21:110 And it came to pass that when all they who loved the king, when they heard these words, came forth and pursued after the servants of the king.
Alma 21:140 Yea, verily, verily I say unto you, if all men had been, and were, and ever would be, like unto Moroni, behold, the very powers of hell would have been shaken for ever; yea, the devil would never have power over the hearts of the children of men.
Alma 21:184 And it came to pass, that on the other hand, the people of Nephi did thank the Lord their God, because of his matchless power in delivering them from the hands of their enemies.
Alma 24:62 And thus because of iniquity amongst themselves, yea, because of dissension and intrigue among themselves, they were placed in the most dangerous circumstances.
Alma 24:64 And they had been brought down into the land of Zarahemla, and had ever since been protected by the Nephites; and because of their oath, they had been kept from taking up arms against their brethren;
Alma 26:2 And these are the words which he wrote, saying, My dearly beloved brother, Moroni, as well in the Lord as in the tribulations of our warfare; behold, my beloved brother, I have somewhat to tell you concerning our warfare in this part of the land.
Alma 26:164 Behold, this is the twenty and ninth year, in the latter end, and we are in the possession of our lands; and the Lamanites have fled to the land of Nephi.
Alma 29:18 And it came to pass after they had taken them, they caused them to enter into a covenant, that they would no more take up their weapons of war against the Nephites.
Alma 29:30 Thus had Moroni and Pahoran obtained the possession of the city of Nephihah, without the loss of one soul; and there were many of the Lamanites who were slain.
Alma 29:31 Now it came to pass that many of the Lamanites who were prisoners, were desirous to join the people of Ammon, and become a free people.
Helaman 2:10 And it came to pass as timber was exceeding scarce in the land northward, they did send forth much by the way of shipping; and thus they did enable the people in the land northward, that they might build many cities, both of wood and of cement.
Helaman 2:82 And it came to pass that Nephi and Lehi did proceed from thence to go to the land of Nephi.
Ether 5:15 Behold, it was the faith of Nephi and Lehi, that wrought the change upon the Lamanites, that they were baptized with fire and with the Holy Ghost.
