1 Nephi 3:1 And now I, Nephi, proceed to give an account upon these plates, of my proceedings, and my reign and ministry; wherefore, to proceed with mine account, I must speak somewhat of the things of my father, and also of my brethren.
1 Nephi 3:2 For behold, it came to pass after my father had made an end of speaking the words of his dream, and also of exhorting them to all diligence, he spake unto them concerning the Jews, that after they should be destroyed, even that great city Jerusalem, and many be carried away captive into Babylon, according to the own due time of the Lord they should return again; yea, even be brought back out of captivity;
1 Nephi 3:32 Wherefore, the course of the Lord is one eternal round.
1 Nephi 3:203 And they shall be a blessed people upon the promised land for ever;
1 Nephi 3:215 A work which shall be everlasting, either on the one hand or on the other;
1 Nephi 4:53 Wherefore, if they should die in their wickedness, they must be cast off also, as to the things which are spiritual, which are pertaining to righteousness;
1 Nephi 5:30 And it came to pass that he did inquire of the Lord, for they had humbled themselves because of my word; for I did say many things unto them in the energy of my soul.
1 Nephi 5:45 And it came to pass that the daughters of Ishmael did mourn exceedingly, because of the loss of their father, and because of their afflictions in the wilderness;
1 Nephi 5:105 Now ye know that the children of Israel were in bondage; and ye know that they were laden with tasks, which were grievous to be borne;
1 Nephi 5:176 And it came to pass that on the morrow, after we had prepared all things, much fruits and meat from the wilderness, and honey in abundance, and provisions, according to that which the Lord had commanded us,
1 Nephi 5:182 And after we had been driven forth before the wind for the space of many days, behold, my brethren, and the sons of Ishmael, and also their wives, began to make themselves merry, insomuch that they began to dance, and to sing, and to speak with much rudeness,
1 Nephi 5:200 Now, my father Lehi, had said many things unto them, and also unto the sons of Ishmael; but behold, they did breathe out much threatenings against any one that should speak for me;
1 Nephi 5:201 And my parents being stricken in years, and having suffered much grief because of their children, they were brought down, yea, even upon their sick beds.
1 Nephi 5:202 Because of their grief, and much sorrow, and the iniquity of my brethren, they were brought near even to be carried out of this time, to meet their God;
1 Nephi 5:213 And we went forth upon the land, and did pitch our tents; and we did call it the promised land.
1 Nephi 6:21 All ye, assemble yourselves, and hear; who among them hath declared these things unto them? The Lord hath loved him; yea, and he will fulfill his word which he hath declared by them; and he will do his pleasure on Babylon, and his arm shall come upon the Chaldeans.
1 Nephi 6:50 The children whom thou shalt have, after thou hast lost the first, shall again in thine ears say, The place is too straight for me: give place to me that I may dwell.
1 Nephi 7:23 Wherefore, he will bring them again out of captivity, and they shall be gathered together to the lands of their inheritance;
1 Nephi 7:51 Yea, in fine, all those who belong to the kingdom of the devil, are they who need fear, and tremble, and quake;
2 Nephi 1:9 And also all those who should be led out of other countries, by the hand of the Lord.
2 Nephi 1:12 And if it so be that they shall serve him according to the commandments which he hath given, it shall be a land of liberty unto them;
2 Nephi 1:21 And there shall be none to molest them, nor to take away the land of their inheritance; and they shall dwell safely for ever.
2 Nephi 1:34 But behold, his will be done: for his ways are righteousness for ever; and he hath said that, Inasmuch as ye shall keep my commandments ye shall prosper in the land; but inasmuch as ye will not keep my commandments ye shall be cut off from my presence.
2 Nephi 1:54 But if ye will not hearken unto him, I take away my first blessing, yea, even my blessing, and it shall rest upon him.
2 Nephi 1:81 For it must needs be, that there is an opposition in all things.
2 Nephi 1:105 And after Adam and Eve had partaken of the forbidden fruit, they were driven out of the garden of Eden, to till the earth.
2 Nephi 2:3 And may the Lord consecrate also unto thee this land, which is a most precious land, for thine inheritance and the inheritance of thy seed with thy brethren, for thy security for ever, if it so be that ye shall keep the commandments of the Holy One of Israel.
2 Nephi 3:10 But behold, my sons and my daughters, I can not go down to my grave, save I should leave a blessing upon you:
2 Nephi 3:13 Wherefore, because of my blessing, the Lord God will not suffer that ye shall perish; wherefore, he will be merciful unto you, and unto your seed for ever.
2 Nephi 4:16 And we began to raise flocks, and herds, and animals of every kind.
2 Nephi 5:101 Thou hast drunken the dregs of the cup of trembling wrung out;
2 Nephi 5:102 And none to guide her among all the sons she hath brought forth;
2 Nephi 8:27 And it shall come to pass that the lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.
2 Nephi 8:71 And then will I sing to my well beloved a song of my beloved touching his vineyard. My well beloved hath a vineyard in a very fruitful hill:
2 Nephi 8:73 And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, betwixt me and my vineyard.
2 Nephi 8:84 Therefore, hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.
2 Nephi 10:32 All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? Art thou become like unto us?
2 Nephi 10:36 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the Most High.
2 Nephi 11:37 And now my brethren, I have spoken plain, that ye can not err;
2 Nephi 11:82 Yea, after the Lord God shall have camped against them round about, and shall have laid siege against them with a mount, and raised forts against them;
2 Nephi 11:156 And the meek also shall increase, and their joy shall be in the Lord; and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.
2 Nephi 14:4 Wherefore, I said unto you, Feast upon the words of Christ; for behold the words of Christ will tell you all things what ye should do.
2 Nephi 15:17 And you that will not partake of the goodness of God, and respect the words of the Jews, and also my words, and the words which shall proceed forth out of the mouth of the Lamb of God, behold, I bid you an everlasting farewell, for these words shall condemn you at the last day;
Jacob 2:58 And their unbelief and their hatred towards you, is because of the iniquity of their fathers; wherefore, how much better are you than they, in the sight of your great Creator?
Jacob 3:53 And he beheld that it was good: and the fruit thereof was like unto the natural fruit.
Jacob 3:54 And he said unto the servant, Behold, the branches of the wild tree hath taken hold of the moisture of the root thereof, that the root thereof hath brought forth much strength;
Jacob 3:56 Now, if we had not grafted in these branches, the tree thereof would have perished.
Jacob 3:57 And now, behold, I shall lay up much fruit, which the tree thereof hath brought forth; and the fruit thereof I shall lay up, against the season, unto mine own self.
Jacob 3:59 And it came to pass that they went forth whither the master of the vineyard had hid the natural branches of the tree, and he said unto the servant, Behold these:
Jacob 3:61 And he said unto the servant, Take of the fruit thereof, and lay it up, against the season, that I may preserve it unto mine own self;
Jacob 3:63 And it came to pass that the servant said unto his master, How comest thou hither to plant this tree, or this branch of the tree? for behold, it was the poorest spot in all the land of thy vineyard.
Jacob 3:65 And it came to pass that the Lord of the vineyard said unto his servant, Look hither: behold, I have planted another branch of the tree also; and thou knowest that this spot of ground was poorer than the first.
Jacob 3:66 But, behold the tree: I have nourished it this long time, and it hath brought forth much fruit; therefore, gather it, and lay it up, against the season, that I may preserve it unto mine own self.
Jacob 3:67 And it came to pass that the Lord of the vineyard said again unto his servant, Look hither, and behold another branch also, which I have planted; behold that I have nourished it also, and it hath brought forth fruit.
Jacob 3:68 And he said unto the servant, Look hither, and behold the last: behold, this have I planted in a good spot of ground; and I have nourished it this long time, and only a part of the tree hath brought tame fruit; and the other part of the tree hath brought forth wild fruit: behold, I have nourished this tree like unto the others.
Jacob 3:76 And the Lord of the vineyard said, Behold, this long time have we nourished this tree, and I have laid up unto myself against the season, much fruit.
Jacob 3:81 And it came to pass that the Lord of the vineyard said unto his servant, The tree profiteth me nothing; and the roots thereof profiteth me nothing, so long as it shall bring forth evil fruit.
Jacob 3:82 Nevertheless, I know that the roots are good; and for mine own purpose I have preserved them; and because of their much strength, they have hitherto brought forth from the wild branches good fruit.
Jacob 3:83 But behold, the wild branches have grown, and have overrun the roots thereof: and because that the wild branches have overcome the roots thereof, it hath brought forth much evil fruit;
Jacob 3:84 And because that it hath brought forth so much evil fruit, thou beholdest that it beginneth to perish: and it will soon become ripened, that it may be cast into the fire, except we should do something for it to preserve it.
Jacob 3:87 And it came to pass that they beheld that the fruit of the natural branches had become corrupt also; yea, the first, and the second, and also the last; and they had all become corrupt.
Jacob 3:90 Behold, I knew that all the fruit of the vineyard, save it were these, had become corrupted.
Jacob 3:94 And thou beheldest that I also cut down that which cumbered this spot of ground, that I might plant this tree in the stead thereof.
Jacob 3:135 And the bad shall be cast away; yea, even out of all the land of my vineyard; for behold, only this once will I prune my vineyard.
Jacob 3:146 And I have preserved the natural fruit, that it is good, even like as it was in the beginning; and blessed art thou.
Enos 1:19 And now behold, this was the desire which I desired of him: that if it should so be, that my people, the Nephites, should fall into transgression, and by any means be destroyed, and the Lamanites should not be destroyed, that the Lord God would preserve a record of my people, the Nephites;
Omni 1:26 Behold, it came to pass that Mosiah discovered that the people of Zarahemla, came out from Jerusalem, at the time that Zedekiah, king of Judah, was carried away captive into Babylon.
Omni 1:29 Nevertheless, they had had many wars and serious contentions, and had fallen by the sword from time to time;
Omni 1:34 And it came to pass that the people of Zarahemla, and of Mosiah, did unite together; and Mosiah was appointed to be their king.
Mosiah 1:14 And it came to pass that after King Benjamin had made an end of teaching his sons that he waxed old; and he saw that he must very soon go the way of all the earth; therefore, he thought it expedient that he should confer the kingdom upon one of his sons.
Mosiah 1:16 For on the morrow, I shall proclaim unto this my people, out of mine own mouth, that thou art a king and a ruler over this people, whom the Lord our God hath given us.
Mosiah 1:30 And they also took of the firstlings of their flocks, that they might offer sacrifice and burnt offerings, according to the law of Moses;
Mosiah 2:29 And ye will not suffer that the beggar putteth up his petition to you in vain, and turn him out to perish.
Mosiah 3:4 And we, ourselves, also, through the infinite goodness of God, and the manifestations of his Spirit, have great views of that which is to come; and were it expedient, we could prophesy of all things.
Mosiah 3:20 I say unto you, that even so shall it be among you, if ye know not the name by which ye are called.
Mosiah 5:9 And they were surrounded by the king's guard, and were taken, and were bound, and were committed to prison.
Mosiah 5:16 And I will endeavor to speak with boldness; for I am assured that if ye had known me, ye would not have suffered that I should have worn these bands.
Mosiah 5:28 Therefore, lift up your heads, and rejoice, and put your trust in God, in that God who was the God of Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob;
Mosiah 5:29 And also, that God who brought the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt, and caused that they should walk through the Red Sea on dry ground, and fed them with manna, that they might not perish in the wilderness; and many more things did he do for them.
Mosiah 5:30 And again: that same God has brought our fathers out of the land of Jerusalem, and has kept and preserved his people, even until now.
Mosiah 5:45 Or in other words, he said that man was created after the image of God, and that God should come down among the children of men, and take upon him flesh and blood, and go forth upon the face of the earth;
Mosiah 5:56 And it came to pass that after he had done all this, that King Limhi dismissed the multitude, and caused that they should return, every one unto his own house.
Mosiah 5:63 Having discovered a land which had been peopled with a people who were as numerous as the hosts of Israel.
Mosiah 5:64 And for a testimony that the things that they have said are true, they have brought twenty-four plates, which are filled with engravings; and they are of pure gold.
Mosiah 5:65 And behold, also, they have brought breastplates, which are large; and they are of brass, and of copper, and are perfectly sound.
Mosiah 6:53 And thus they have taught their children, that they should hate them, and that they should murder them, and that they should rob and plunder them, and do all they could to destroy them; therefore, they have an eternal hatred towards the children of Nephi.
Mosiah 7:32 And except they repent, and turn to the Lord their God, behold, I will deliver them into the hands of their enemies;
Mosiah 7:34 And it shall come to pass that they shall know that I am the Lord their God, and am a jealous God, visiting the iniquities of my people.
Mosiah 7:47 Therefore, I will visit them in my anger, yea, in my fierce anger will I visit them in their iniquities and abominations; yea, wo be unto this generation.
Mosiah 7:59 And it came to pass that they were angry with him; and they took him and carried him bound before the king and said unto the king,
Mosiah 7:71 And it came to pass that they said unto the king, Bring him hither, that we may question him.
Mosiah 7:94 But now Abinadi said unto them, I know if ye keep the commandments of God, ye shall be saved;
Mosiah 8:21 All we, like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquities of us all.
Mosiah 8:46 Yea, and are not the prophets, every one that has opened his mouth to prophesy, that has not fallen into transgression; I mean all the holy prophets ever since the world began?
Mosiah 8:82 He is the light and the life of the world; yea, a light that is endless, that can never be darkened; yea, and also a life which is endless, that there can be no more death.
Mosiah 9:8 And it came to pass that the king caused that his guards should surround Abinadi, and take him; and they bound him and cast him into prison.
Mosiah 9:28 And now it came to pass that Alma, who had fled from the servants of King Noah, repented of his sins and iniquities, and went about privately among the people, and began to teach the words of Abinadi;
Mosiah 9:120 And it came to pass that they found the king of the Lamanites among the number of their dead; yet he was not dead, having been wounded and left upon the ground, so speedy was the flight of his people.
Mosiah 9:121 And they took him and bound up his wounds, and brought him before Limhi, and said, Behold, here is the king of the Lamanites; he having received a wound, has fallen among their dead, and they have left him; and behold, we have brought him before you; and now let us slay him.
Mosiah 9:168 And they having supposed it to be the land of Zarahemla, returned to the land of Nephi, having arrived in the borders of the land not many days before the coming of Ammon.
Mosiah 11:11 Nevertheless, in this I do not glory, for I am unworthy to glory of myself.
Mosiah 11:25 Yea, and thus it was with this people.
Mosiah 11:41 But after Alma had shewn them the way that led to the land of Nephi, the Lamanites would not keep their promise; but they set guards round about the land of Helam, over Alma and his brethren.
Mosiah 11:112 Therefore it became expedient that those who committed sin that were in the church, should be admonished by the church.
Mosiah 11:115 And it came to pass that Alma did not know concerning them, for there were many witnesses against them; yea, the people stood and testified of their iniquity in abundance.
Mosiah 11:116 Now there had not any such thing happened before, in the church; therefore Alma was troubled in his spirit, and he caused that they should be brought before the king.
Mosiah 11:117 And he said unto the king, Behold, here are many whom we have brought before thee, who are accused of their brethren; yea, and they have been taken in divers iniquities.
Mosiah 11:139 Yea, and as often as my people repent, will I forgive them their trespasses against me.
Mosiah 11:167 And again, the angel said, Behold, the Lord hath heard the prayers of his people, and also the prayers of his servant Alma, who is thy father:
Mosiah 12:2 That they might preach the things which they had heard, and that they might impart the word of God to their brethren, the Lamanites, that perhaps they might bring them to the knowledge of the Lord their God, and convince them of the iniquity of their fathers;
Mosiah 13:23 Yea, remember King Noah, his wickedness and his abominations; and also the wickedness and abominations of his people.
Alma 1:2 Nevertheless he established laws, and they were acknowledged by the people; therefore they were obliged to abide by the laws which he had made.
Alma 1:14 Now Gideon being stricken with many years therefore he was not able to withstand his blows, therefore he was slain by the sword;
Alma 1:108 Therefore whosoever suffered himself to be led away by the Lamanites, was called under that head, and there was a mark set upon him.
Alma 1:118 Nevertheless they had come out in open rebellion against God; therefore it was expedient that the curse should fall upon them.
Alma 3:5 And behold, I say unto you, They were delivered out of the hands of the people of King Noah, by the mercy and power of God.
Alma 3:6 And behold, after that, they were brought into bondage by the hands of the Lamanites, in the wilderness; yea, I say unto you, They were in captivity, and again the Lord did deliver them out of bondage by the power of his word;
Alma 3:33 Or do ye imagine to yourselves that ye can lie unto the Lord in that day, and say, Lord, our works have been righteous works upon the face of the earth, and that he will save you?
Alma 3:94 Yea, will ye persist in supposing that ye are better one than another;
Alma 5:41 And see that ye have faith, hope, and charity, and then ye will always abound in good works;
Alma 6:27 Therefore go with me into my house, and I will impart unto thee of my food; and I know that thou will be a blessing unto me and my house.
Alma 7:8 And I stood with boldness to declare unto them, yea, I did boldly testify unto them, saying: Behold, O ye wicked and perverse generation, how have ye forgotten the tradition of your fathers; yea, how soon ye have forgotten the commandments of God.
Alma 7:21 For it is because of the traditions of their fathers that cause them to remain in their state of ignorance; therefore the Lord will be merciful unto them, and prolong their existence in the land.
Alma 7:33 Having been saved from famine, and from sickness, and all manner of diseases of every kind;
Alma 8:47 Now the object of these lawyers was to get gain; and they got gain according to their employ.
Alma 8:49 Now if a man owed another, and he would not pay that which he did owe, he was complained of to the judge;
Alma 8:50 And the judge executed authority, and sent forth officers that the man should be brought before him;
Alma 8:65 Therefore they did stir up the people to riotings, and all manner of disturbances and wickedness, that they might have more employ;
Alma 8:100 The spirit and the body shall be reunited again, in its perfect form; both limb and joint shall be restored to its proper frame, even as we now are at this time;
Alma 8:103 And even there shall not so much as a hair of their heads be lost; but all things shall be restored to its perfect frame, as it is now, or in the body,

Alma 10:45 And they brought their wives and children together, and whosoever believed or had been taught to believe in the word of God, they caused that they should be cast into the fire;
Alma 11:12 And they came upon the armies of the Lamanites, and the Lamanites were scattered and driven into the wilderness; that they took their brethren who had been taken captive by the Lamanites, and there was not one soul of them who had been lost, that were taken captive.
Alma 12:6 And they had been teaching the word of God for the space of fourteen years, among the Lamanites, having had much success in bringing many to the knowledge of the truth;
Alma 12:111 And King Lamoni said, I believe all these things which thou hast spoken. Art thou sent from God?
Alma 12:156 And now the people began to murmur among themselves; some saying, that it was a great evil that had come upon them, or upon the king and his house, because he had suffered that the Nephite should remain in the land.
Alma 12:215 And it came to pass that Ammon and Lamoni proceeded on their journey towards the land of Middoni.
Alma 13:21 And they went forth whithersoever they were led by the Spirit of the Lord, preaching the word of God in every synagogue of the Amalekites, or in every assembly of the Lamanites where they could be admitted.
Alma 13:40 And now when Aaron heard this, his heart began to rejoice, and he said, Behold, assuredly, as thou livest, O king, there is a God.
Alma 14:8 Establishing churches, and consecrating priests and teachers throughout the land among the Lamanites, to preach and to teach the word of God among them; and thus they began to have great success.
Alma 14:9 And thousands were brought to the knowledge of the Lord, yea, thousands were brought to believe in the traditions of the Nephites; and they were taught the records and the prophecies which were handed down, even to the present time;
Alma 14:39 And now behold, since it has been as much as we could do to get our stains taken away from us, and our swords are made bright,
Alma 14:45 And rather than take away from a brother, they would give unto him; and rather than spend their days in idleness, they would labor abundantly with their hands;
Alma 14:54 And it came to pass that the people of God were joined that day by more than the number who had been slain; and those who had been slain were righteous people; therefore we have no reason to doubt but what they are saved.
Alma 14:67 Now this martyrdom caused that many of their brethren should be stirred up to anger; and there began to be contention in the wilderness; and the Lamanites began to hunt the seed of Amulon and his brethren, and began to slay them, and they fled into the east wilderness.
Alma 14:80 And now I ask, What great blessings has he bestowed upon us? Can ye tell?
Alma 14:82 And this is the blessing which hath been bestowed upon us, that we have been made instruments in the hands of God, to bring about this great work.
Alma 14:92 Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength, I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God; for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name for ever.
Alma 14:94 Yea, we have reason to praise him for ever, for he is the most high God, and has loosed our brethren from the chains of hell.
Alma 14:100 O my soul, almost as it were fleeth at the thought.
Alma 15:45 And this is the account of the wars and contentions among the Nephites, and also the wars between the Nephites and the Lamanites; and the fifteenth year of the reign of the Judges is ended.
Alma 15:65 Yea, and that same God hath called me by a holy calling, to preach the word unto this people, and hath given me much success, in the which my joy is full; but I do not joy in my own success alone, but my joy is more full because of the success of my brethren, who have been up to the land of Nephi.
Alma 16:27 Now the high priest's name was Giddonah.
Alma 16:34 And ye keep them down, even as it were, in bondage, that ye may glut yourselves with the labors of their hands, that they durst not look up with boldness, and that they durst not enjoy their rights and privileges;
Alma 16:36 Now when the high priest and the chief judge saw the hardness of his heart; yea, when they saw that he would revile even against God, they would not make any reply to his words;
Alma 16:37 But they caused that he should be bound; and they delivered him up into the hands of the officers, and sent him to the land of Zarahemla, that he might be brought before Alma and the chief judge, who was governor over all the land.
Alma 16:68 And he said unto me, There is no God; yea, and he taught me that which I should say. And I have taught his words; and I taught them, because they were pleasing unto the carnal mind;
Alma 16:132 I say unto you, It is well that ye are cast out of your synagogues, that ye may be humble, and that ye may learn wisdom; for it is necessary that ye should learn wisdom;
Alma 16:137 Yea, he that truly humbleth himself and repenteth of his sins, and endureth to the end, the same shall be blessed; yea, much more blessed than they who are compelled to be humble, because of their exceeding poverty; therefore blessed are they who humble themselves without being compelled to be humble,
Alma 16:216 This being the intent of this last sacrifice, to bring about the bowels of mercy, which overpowereth justice and bringeth about means unto men that they may have faith unto repentance.
Alma 16:226 And now, my brethren, I would that after ye have received so many witnesses, seeing that the holy scriptures testify of these things, come forth and bring fruit unto repentance;

Alma 17:12 Yea, and in fine, so great had been my iniquities, that the very thoughts of coming into the presence of my God, did rack my soul with inexpressible horror.
Alma 17:25 And I have been supported under trials and troubles of every kind, yea, and in all manner of afflictions; yea, God has delivered me from prison, and from bonds, and from death; yea, and I do put my trust in him, and he will still deliver me;
Alma 17:26 And I know that he will raise me up at the last day, to dwell with him in glory; yea, and I will praise him for ever, for he has brought our fathers out of Egypt, and he has swallowed up the Egyptians in the Red Sea; and he led them by his power into the promised land;
Alma 17:34 And now behold, if they are kept, they must retain their brightness; yea, and they will retain their brightness; yea, and also shall all the plates which do contain that which is holy writ.
Alma 17:36 And the Lord God doth work by means to bring about his great and eternal purposes; and by very small means the Lord doth confound the wise, and bringeth about the salvation of many souls.
Alma 17:38 Yea, I say unto you, were it not for these things that these records do contain, which are on these plates, Ammon and his brethren could not have convinced so many thousands of the Lamanites, of the incorrect tradition of their fathers;
Alma 17:57 And except they repent, I will destroy them from off the face of the earth; and I will bring to light all their secrets and abominations, unto every nation that shall hereafter possess the land.
Alma 19:16 And give heed to their counsel; suffer not yourself to be led away by any vain or foolish thing; suffer not that the devil lead away your heart again, after those wicked harlots.
Alma 19:55 Now my son, I do not say that their resurrection cometh at the resurrection of Christ; but behold, I give it as my opinion, that the souls and the bodies are reunited, of the righteous at the resurrection of Christ, and his ascension into heaven.
Alma 19:89 Now behold, it was not expedient that man should be reclaimed from this temporal death, for that would destroy the great plan of happiness;
Alma 19:92 And now remember, my son, if it were not for the plan of redemption, (laying it aside,) as soon as they were dead, their souls were miserable, being cut off from the presence of the Lord.
Alma 19:93 And now there was no means to reclaim men from this fallen state which man had brought upon himself, because of his own disobedience;
