Omni 1:35 And it came to pass in the days of Mosiah, there was a large stone brought unto him, with engravings on it; and he did interpret the engravings, by the gift and power of God.

Helaman 1:16 And they were led by a man whose name was Coriantumr; and he was a descendant of Zarahemla; and he was a dissenter from among the Nephites; and he was a large and a mighty man;

Helaman 1:17 Therefore the king of the Lamanites, whose name was Tubaloth, who was the son of Ammoron, supposing that Coriantumr, being a mighty man, could stand against the Nephites, insomuch with his strength and also with his great wisdom, that by sending him forth, he should gain power over the Nephites;

Helaman 1:19 And it came to pass that because of so much contention and so much difficulty in the government, that they had not kept sufficient guards in the land of Zarahemla; for they had supposed that the Lamanites durst not come into the heart of their lands to attack that great city Zarahemla.

Helaman 1:20 But it came to pass that Coriantumr did march forth at the head of his numerous host, and came upon the inhabitants of the city, and their march was with such exceeding great speed, that there was no time for the Nephites to gather together their armies;

Helaman 1:21 Therefore Coriantumr did cut down the watch by the entrance of the city, and did march forth with his whole army into the city, and they did slay every one who did oppose them, insomuch that they did take possession of the whole city.

Helaman 1:22 And it came to pass that Pacumeni, who was the chief judge, did flee before Coriantumr, even to the walls of the city.

Helaman 1:23 And it came to pass that Coriantumr did smite him against the wall, insomuch that he died. And thus ended the days of Pacumeni.

Helaman 1:26 And supposing that their greatest strength was in the center of the land, therefore he did march forth, giving them no time to assemble themselves together, save it were in small bodies; and in this manner they did fall upon them and cut them down to the earth.

Helaman 1:31 And thus he did; and he did head them, before they came to the land Bountiful, and gave unto them battle insomuch that they began to retreat back towards the land of Zarahemla.

Helaman 1:33 And now behold the Lamanites could not retreat either way; neither on the north, nor on the south, nor on the east, nor on the west, for they were surrounded on every hand by the Nephites.

Ether 6:19 Wherefore it came to pass that in the first year that Ether dwelt in the cavity of a rock, there were many people who were slain by the sword of those secret combinations fighting against Coriantumr, that they might obtain the kingdom.

Ether 6:20 And it came to pass that the sons of Coriantumr fought much and bled much.

Ether 6:22 Otherwise they should be destroyed, and all his household, save it were himself, and he should only live to see the fulfilling of the prophecies which had been spoken concerning another people receiving the land for their inheritance;

Ether 6:23 And Coriantumr should receive a burial by them; and every soul should be destroyed save it were Coriantumr.

Ether 6:24 And it came to pass that Coriantumr repented not, neither his household, neither the people; and the wars ceased not; and they sought to kill Ether, but he fled from before them, and hid again in the cavity of the rock.

Ether 6:25 And it came to pass that there arose up Shared, and he also gave battle unto Coriantumr; and he did beat him, insomuch that in the third year he did bring him unto captivity.

Ether 6:28 And there were robbers, and in fine, all manner of wickedness upon all the face of the land.

Ether 6:30 And it came to pass that Shared fought against him for the space of three days.

Ether 6:31 And it came to pass that Coriantumr beat him, and did pursue him until he came to the plains of Heshlon.

Ether 6:32 And it came to pass that Shared gave him battle again upon the plains; and behold he did beat Coriantumr, and drove him back again to the valley of Gilgal.

Ether 6:33 And Coriantumr gave Shared battle again in the valley of Gilgal, in which he beat Shared, and slew him.

Ether 6:36 Wherefore every man did cleave unto that which was his own, with his hands, and would not borrow, neither would he lend; and every man kept the hilt of his sword thereof in his right hand, in the defense of his property and his own life, and of his wives and children.

Ether 6:38 And it came to pass that the brother of Shared did give battle unto him in the wilderness of Akish; and the battle became exceeding sore, and many thousands fell by the sword.

Ether 6:39 And it came to pass the Coriantumr did lay siege to the wilderness, and the brother of Shared did march forth out of the wilderness by night, and slew a part of the army of Coriantumr, as they were drunken.

Ether 6:40 And he came forth to the land of Moron, and placed himself upon the throne of Coriantumr.

Ether 6:44 And it came to pass that one of the secret combinations murdered him in a secret pass, and obtained unto himself the kingdom; and his name was Lib; and Lib was a man of great stature, more than any other man among all the people.

Ether 6:45 And it came to pass that in the first year of Lib, Coriantumr came up unto the land of Moron, and gave battle unto Lib.

Ether 6:46 And it came to pass that he fought with Lib, in which Lib did smite up on his arm that he was wounded; nevertheless, the army of Coriantumr did press forward upon Lib, that he fled to the borders upon the sea-shore.

Ether 6:47 And it came to pass that Coriantumr pursued him; and Lib gave battle unto him upon the sea-shore.

Ether 6:49 And it came to pass that Lib did pursue him until he came to the plains of Agosh.

Ether 6:50 And Coriantumr had taken all the people with him, as he fled before Lib, in that quarter of the land whither he fled.

Ether 6:52 Now the name of the brother of Lib was called Shiz.

Ether 6:55 And it came to pass that the people began to flock together in armies, throughout all the face of the land.

Ether 6:59 And the scent thereof went forth upon the face of the land, even upon all the face of the land; wherefore the people became troubled by day and by night, because of the scent thereof;

Ether 6:61 And thus we see that the Lord did visit them in the fullness of his wrath, and their wickedness and abominations, had prepared a way for their everlasting destruction.

Ether 6:62 And it came to pass that Shiz did pursue Coriantumr eastward, even to the borders of the sea-shore, and there he gave battle unto Shiz for the space of three days,

Ether 6:64 And they fled to the land of Corihor, and swept off the inhabitants before them, all they that would not join them; and they pitched their tents in the valley of Corihor.

Ether 6:65 And Coriantumr pitched his tents in the valley of Shurr.

Ether 6:68 And it came to pass that they came again the third time, and the battle became exceeding sore.

Ether 6:69 And it came to pass that Shiz smote upon Coriantumr, that he gave him many deep wounds.

Ether 6:70 And Coriantumr having lost his blood, fainted, and was carried away as though he were dead.

Ether 6:71 Now the loss of men, women and children, on both sides, was so great that Shiz commanded his people that they should not pursue the armies of Coriantumr; wherefore they returned to their camp.

Ether 6:75 And it came to pass that he wrote an epistle unto Shiz, desiring him that he would spare the people, and he would give up the kingdom for the sake of the lives of the people.

Ether 6:76 And it came to pass that when Shiz had received his epistle, he wrote an epistle unto Coriantumr, that if he would give himself up, that he might slay him with his own sword, that he would spare the lives of the people.

Ether 6:77 And it came to pass that the people repented not of their iniquity; and the people of Coriantumr were stirred up to anger against the people of Shiz;

Ether 6:78 And the people of Shiz were stirred up to anger against the people of Coriantumr; wherefore the people of Shiz did give battle unto the people of Coriantumr.

Ether 6:80 And it came to pass that he came to the waters of Ripliancum, which, by interpretation, is large, or to exceed all; wherefore, when they came to these waters, they pitched their tents; and Shiz also pitched his tents near unto them; and therefore on the morrow, they did come to battle.

Ether 6:81 And it came to pass that they fought an exceeding sore battle, in which Coriantumr was wounded again, and he fainted with the loss of blood.

Ether 6:82 And it came to pass that the armies of Coriantumr did press upon the armies of Shiz, that they beat them, that they caused them to flee before them; and they did flee southward, and did pitch their tents in a place which was called Ogath.

Ether 6:84 And it came to pass that they did gather together all the people, upon all the face of the land, who had not been slain, save it was Ether.

Ether 6:90 Nevertheless they conquered not, and when the night came again, they did rend the air with their cries, and their howlings, and their mournings, for the loss of the slain of their people.

Ether 6:94 And when the night came they were drunken with anger, even as a man who is drunken with wine; and they slept again upon their swords; and on the morrow they fought again;

Ether 6:96 And it came to pass that they slept upon their swords that night, and on the morrow they fought again, and they contended in their mights with their swords, and with their shields, all that day;

Ether 6:100 And it came to pass that they fought for the space of three hours, and they fainted with the loss of blood.

Ether 6:102 Wherefore he did pursue them, and on the morrow he did overtake them; and they fought again with the sword.

Ether 6:103 And it came to pass that when they had all fallen by the sword, save it were Coriantumr and Shiz, behold, Shiz had fainted with the loss of blood.

Ether 6:105 And it came to pass that after he had smote off the head of Shiz, that Shiz raised upon his hands and fell; and after that he had struggled for breath, he died.
