They come to the large waters. Nephi's brethren rebelleth against him. He confoundeth them, and buildeth a ship. They call the place Bountiful. They cross the large waters into the promised land, &c. This is according to the account of Nephi; or in other words, I, Nephi wrote this record.
1 Nephi 1:1 I, Nephi, having been born of goodly parents, therefore I was taught somewhat in all the learning of my father; and having seen many afflictions in the course of my days -- nevertheless, having been highly favored of the Lord in all my days; yea, having had a great knowledge of the goodness and the mysteries of God, therefore I make a record of my proceedings in my days; yea, I make a record in the language of my father, which consists of the learning of the Jews and the language of the Egyptians.
1 Nephi 3:18 And after the house of Israel should be scattered, they should be gathered together again;

Alma 14:105 Now do ye remember, my brethren, that we said unto our brethren in the land of Zarahemla, We go up to the land of Nephi, to preach unto our brethren, the Lamanites, and they laughed us to scorn?

Alma 17:23 Yea, and now behold, O my son, the Lord doth give me exceeding great joy in the fruit of my labors; for because of the word which he has imparted unto me, behold, many have been born of God, and have tasted as I have tasted, and have seen eye to eye, as I have seen;
Alma 17:36 And the Lord God doth work by means to bring about his great and eternal purposes; and by very small means the Lord doth confound the wise, and bringeth about the salvation of many souls.
Alma 17:38 Yea, I say unto you, were it not for these things that these records do contain, which are on these plates, Ammon and his brethren could not have convinced so many thousands of the Lamanites, of the incorrect tradition of their fathers;

DC 3:8b yea, and you remember, it was said in those writings, that a more particular account was given of these things upon the plates of Nephi.
DC 3:11c yea, that it might be free unto all of whatsoever nation, kindred, tongue, or people, they may be.
DC 4:1e and faith, hope, charity, and love, with an eye single to the glory of God, qualifies him for the work.
DC 6:5b Remember it is sacred and cometh from above: and if thou wilt inquire, thou shalt know mysteries which are great and marvelous;
DC 8:1a Oliver Cowdery, verily, verily I say unto you, that assuredly as the Lord liveth, who is your God and your Redeemer,
DC 8:3c therefore doubt not, for it is the gift of God, and you shall hold it in your hands, and do marvelous works; and no power shall be able to take it away out of your hands, for it is the work of God.
DC 17:2g thereby showing that he is the same God yesterday, today, and forever. Amen.
DC 28:13b for it is given unto them even as I will, according to mine own pleasure, that great things may be required at the hand of their fathers.
DC 36:6f You have taken Zion to your own bosom from all your creations, from all eternity to all eternity, and naught but peace, justice, and truth is the habitation of your throne; and mercy shall go before your face, and have no end. How is it that you can weep?

DC 90:11 And let my servants Joseph Smith, Jr., and Frederick G. Williams, make haste also, and it shall be given them even according to the prayer of faith; and inasmuch as you keep my sayings, you shall not be confounded in this world, nor in the world to come.
DC 98:5a Behold, it is my will, that all they who call on my name, and worship me according to mine everlasting gospel, should gather together and stand in holy places, and prepare for the revelation which is to come when the veil of the covering of my temple, in my tabernacle, which hideth the earth, shall be taken off, and all flesh shall see me together.
DC 104:11h Unless this is the case, their decisions are not entitled to the same blessings which the decisions of a quorum of three presidents were anciently, who were ordained after the order of Melchisedec, and were righteous and holy men.

DC 110:11a Now the great and grand secret of the whole matter, and the summum bonum of the whole subject that is lying before us, consists in obtaining the powers of the holy priesthood.
DC 110:14a "Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly."
DC 110:19a Now, what do we hear in the gospel which we have received?
DC 120:1c When branches and districts are organized, they should be so organized by direction of the conferences, or by the personal presence and direction of the Twelve, or some member of that quorum who may be in charge, if practicable;
