SUMMARY

 

LEHI-COVENANT WITH THE LAND
ETHER-the ‘Zion’ on this land shall be called “New Jerusalem”

• BUILT UP TO HOUSE OF JOSEPH

1 Nephi 3:187 And blessed are they who shall seek to bring forth my Zion at that day, for they shall have the gift and the power of the Holy Ghost;
NO.  The endowment is to gather the scattered to zion, to proclaim that Christ is King.  It happens under HIS watch, his management, his direction.

GENTILES NUMBERED AMONG.
LEHI STATES THIS IS HIS LAND AND FOR ALL WHO ARE LED BY GOD HEAR.

• 2 Nephi 1:7 A land which the Lord God hath covenanted with me should be a land for the inheritance of my seed.
• 2 Nephi 7:17 But behold, this land, saith God, shall be a land of thine inheritance; and the Gentiles shall be blessed upon the land.
• 2 Nephi 7:30 Wherefore, I will consecrate this land unto thy seed, and they who shall be numbered among thy seed, forever, for the land of their inheritance:
• Gentiles numbered among them.

CHARACTERISTICS

ROUGH TIMELIME.  AND WHILE I SHOULDN’T SAY IT, I AM GOING TO SAY IT.  YOU HAVE TO UNDERSTAND ZION FROM THE COVENANTS AND PROMISES MADE CENTURIES AGO.  THAT WAY YOU WILL UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS BECAUSE OF COVENANTS AND PROMISES MADE TO TRIBES OF ISRAEL.  I

F YOUR KNOWLEDGE OF ZION BEGINS WITH RECENT EVENTS SINCE THE 1800’S IN THE CHURCH, YOU WILL MISS THE FOUNDATION AND BIG PICTURE. 

YOU SHOULDN’T START YOUR STUDY WITH THE PEOPLE’S EFFORTS IN THE EARLY DAYS OF THE RESTORATION, BUT EARLY DAYS OF TIME AND EARLY DAYS OF ISRAEL.

• GENTILES RECEIVE THE WORD, COMMISSIONED TO TAKE TO JOSEPH.  THIS IS KEY THAT LEHI, NEPHI SAW AND JESUS PREACHED.  IT ALL STARTS HERE, BUT DOES NOT END HERE.  (3 N 10:30)
• GENTILES SIN AGAINST THE FULLNESS
• JOSEPH HEARS THE WORD—BEGINS TO KNOW
• SPIRIT OF GOD IS UPON JOSEPH COUPLED WITH APPARENT JUDGEMENT UPON THE GENTILES
• LANDS OF GENTILES CLEANSED
• CITY BUILT BY JOSEPH, REPENTANT GENTILES IN AMERICA
• CALLED ‘NEW JERUSALEM.’
• BUILT UNTO THE PEOPLE OF JOSEPH
• POWER OF HEAVEN COMES DOWN—AT THIS POINT, LITTLE OF OUR HISTORY WILL HAVE MUCH SIGNIFICANCE.  MARGINAL EFFORTS WITH MINIMAL RESULTS.
• THE STORY STARTS NOW.
• ENDOWMENT—GIFT AND POWER OF THE HOLY GHOST. 1 Nephi 3:187 
• FIRST JOB IS TO ASSIST PEOPLE TO GATHER ON THE FACE OF THE LAND.
• RING OF FIRE IS SOMEONE’S DREAM, BUT INTERPRETATION IS NOT ALTOGETHER ACCURATE.  PEOPLE ARE NOT RESTRICTED FROM ZION JUST AS LITTLE CHILDREN WERE WELCOME TO COME TO JESUS. BUT THE POINT IS THAT ONLY THE RIGHTEOUS WILL DWELL THERE, IT NEVER SEES CORRUPTION, EVIL, MORAL OR POLITICAL CORRUPTION. IT’S HOLINESS IS NOT DIMINISHED.  BUT THIS IS FOR ALL PEOPLE.  JESUS’ WELCOME RECEPTION TO THE WORLD, EVENTUALLY.
• WORD GOES FORTH IN POWER—THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THE LORD SETS FORTH
• REMNANT OF THIS PEOPLE
• yea, even the tribes which have been lost, led out of jerusalem
• among all the dispersed of my people,
• among all nations
• they shall not go out in haste (vs 8)—notice this is the condition.  Of order.  This is not what we have been told.  God is before them, God is behind them.  THIS COMES FROM ISAIAH AND IS MENTIONED IN BOTH 3 N 10:8 AND 3 N 9:80. 
• 3 N 9:80 For ye shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight: for the Lord will go before you; and the God of Israel shall be your rearward.
• Ether 6:11 And then also cometh the Jerusalem of old; and the inhabitants thereof, blessed are they, for they have been washed in the blood of the Lamb;
• SO READ ISAIAH HERE AND REALIZE HE IS TALKING ABOUT THE COVENANTS FULFILLED IN THE LAST DAYS.
• Isaiah 52:12 For ye shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight; for the Lord will go before you; and the God of Israel will be your rearward.

• Scripture fulfilled about the desolate woman having more children than the married wife.
• The desolate land of the Gentiles is repopulated, re-inhabited. 3 N 10:11.
• Never to be brought to shame (vs 12)
• Gathered in great mercy
• All children taught of the lord.  Not hatred, not video games.
• No oppression or terror (vs 22)
• No victory to aggressors (vs 23)

 

• WHEN WORD GOES BACK TO JEWS, THEN EVENTUALLY THE OLD JERUSALEM BECOMES A HOLY CITY, INHABITED WITH ‘GOD FEARING’ CHRIST-BELIEVING PEOPLE. 
• OLD JERUSALEM BUILT UNTO THE JEWS. BECOMES A HOLY CITY.( 3N 9:87, ETHER 6:11)
• 3 Nephi 9:85 Then shall this covenant which the Father hath covenanted with his people, be fulfilled; and then shall Jerusalem be inhabited again with my people, and it shall be the land of their inheritance.
• Ether 6:11 And then also cometh the Jerusalem of old; and the inhabitants thereof, blessed are they, for they have been washed in the blood of the Lamb;
• THE LORD RETURNS IN GLORY
• THE 1ST RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD OCCURS
• HEAVEN AND EARTH COME TOGETHER.  THIS IS WHEN ENOCH’S CITY RETURNS.

FIGHTING AGAINST ZION
NEW JERUSALEM

3 Nephi 9:58 And behold, this people will I establish in this land, unto the fulfilling of the covenant which I made with your father Jacob; and it shall be a new Jerusalem.

3 Nephi 11:7 Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the Lord, as in the days of old, and as in former years.

Ether 6:4 Behold, Ether saw the days of Christ, and he spake concerning a New Jerusalem upon this land; and he spake also concerning the house of Israel, and the Jerusalem from whence Lehi should come; after it should be destroyed, it should be built up again a holy city unto the Lord;

Ether 6:5 Wherefore it could not be a New Jerusalem, for it had been in a time of old, but it should be built up again, and become a holy city of the Lord: and it should be built up unto the house of Israel;

Ether 6:8 Wherefore the remnant of the house of Joseph shall be built up upon this land; and it shall be a land of their inheritance; and they shall build up a holy city unto the Lord, like unto the Jerusalem of old; and they shall no more be confounded, until the end come, when the earth shall pass away.

Ether 6:11 And then also cometh the Jerusalem of old; and the inhabitants thereof, blessed are they, for they have been washed in the blood of the Lamb;

RAPTURE—TWO IN FIELD.

Matthew 24:47 Two shall be in the field; the one shall be taken and the other left.

Mark 13:50 Then shall be fulfilled that which is written, That in the last days, two shall be in the field, one shall be taken and the other left.

Luke 17:35 Two shall be in the field; the one shall be taken and the other left.

Jeremiah 3:14 Turn, O backsliding children, saith the Lord; for I am married unto you; and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion;

Jeremiah 31:6 For there shall be a day, that the watchmen upon the mount Ephraim shall cry, Arise ye, and let us go up to Zion unto the Lord our God.

Jeremiah 31:12 Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow together to the goodness of the Lord, for wheat, and for wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flock and of the herd; and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow anymore at all.
