Epiphora

Epiphora

Epiphora describes a synonymous (same words) in the ending of the phrase

Scholar Adele Berlin states Epiphora are biblically rare and difficult to find (Adele Berlin, The Dynamics of Biblical Parallelism)

Yet these were included by writers of the Book of Mormon!

(See how the same words repeat at phrase endings):

1 Nephi 5:113-1 Nephi 5:116

And it came to pass that according to His word He did destroy them;
And according to His word He did lead them;
And according to His word He did do all things for them;
And there was not anything done save it were by His word.
(LDS: 1 Nephi 17:31)
(Notice the variation of 'to His word 'to His word' then 'save it were by His word')

2 Nephi 6:45-2 Nephi 6:47

And He cometh into the world that He may save all men,

    If they will hearken unto His voice.
For behold, He suffereth the pains of all men,

   Yea, the pains of every living creature –

   Both men and women and children  which belong to the family of Adam;
And He suffereth this (Janus Parallelism on 'suffer')

that the resurrection might pass upon all men,

That all might stand before Him at the great and judgment day.
(LDS: 2 Nephi 9:22)

2 Nephi 12:67-2 Nephi 12:70

For behold, I shall speak unto the Jews, and they shall write it;
And I shall also speak unto the Nephites, and they shall write it;
And I shall also speak unto the other tribes of the house of Israel which I have led away, and they shall write it;
And I shall also speak unto all the nations of the earth, and they shall write it.
(LDS: 2 Nephi 29:12)
